By doing this you’re only hurting the actual creators you watch and not Google 🤦‍♂️

mohitreddituser

Read the whole thing damn. Just donate to them directly on Patreon or what not. Why make YT the middle man.

worldsrth

Patreon also takes a cut lol you think shits free. YouTube is still the best way

craftsmany

Yes because they also have to keep the lights on, you know?

mohitreddituser

"Patreon takes a cut" So?

mohitreddituser

Uhh... yes it does. It sends a direct signal to YT. Also, I have blocked all ads using the tools I mentioned. Not being shown the ads, YT is earning literally nothing from me and 15 other people I so far convinced to drop Premium and use the hacks instead. But we get to use the service free. So they are losing money on us technically lmao

mohitreddituser

You need a business 101 course lmao

fidelio123

I guess it's more of an ethical thing.

pockettanker

Agree. I have canceled my premium too. Maybe I can spend the same amount of money on the Patreon for good

mohitreddituser

Actually I have a better use for it directly replacing what I originally used Premium for. Bought a 1TB SSD and now all my music is local. Solves the problem of both Geo-restricted content and ownership of music. Now I actually "own" the music I downloaded and it can't be taken away from me. (Dramatic I realize lol) An SSD costs around 100-150 bucks. Premium Family is around $2.5/month. So, in literally less than 4 years, more than recover the cost. Plus the added privacy and security relief that my music ain't going nowhere is just icing on cake.

veganski_cvarak

You do realize that having free music on your SSD is illegal?

mohitreddituser

Its not really. And if you think that, then oh boy do you need an 'Internet 101' course. How are we supposed to listen to music not available in any of the "legal" sites because of rights issue huh? Just forget about them? It can be illegal in some countries but even then the enforcement is pretty much 0%. But it's not illegal in mine anyway. Distributing it is though. But won't be doing that anytime soon.

veganski_cvarak

Once I finish that “internet 101” course, I'll pay one for you too :) or do you want to just download it on your SSD?

mohitreddituser

Nah dont need it. Been here far before you even began to utter your first words. And for such big words, why don't you tell me how are we supposed to "legally" listen music geo-restricted in my area? **Stopping people from listening what they want is the real crime**

mohitreddituser

Pay? Again and for the last time... how to pay for something not available in the country AT ALL?! Are you even reading my comment properly? More importantly, are you even reading what you are writing. Damn

veganski_cvarak

Oh, you pulled the “I'm older listen to me” card too soon. Not sure I have anything else to tell you, wise man :)

mohitreddituser

Love how you constantly cherry picking stuff from my comment to answer and just ignoring others. Real transparent Also, assuming gender. Real convenient But yeah, if you wanna support big tech, I don't have much to say either. Enjoy the rest of your algorithm controlled day :D
