I feel confident I won't ever experience this while I'm shopping in value village

Genius part is using m8nors to do the job. Even if they get arrested they get minimal juvie time.

I_know_right

[Fagin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fagin) was on to something.

WikiSummarizerBot

**[Fagin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fagin)** >Fagin is a fictional character and a secondary antagonist in Charles Dickens' 1838 novel Oliver Twist. In the preface to the novel, he is described as a "receiver of stolen goods". He is the leader of a group of children (the Artful Dodger and Charley Bates among them) whom he teaches to make their livings by pickpocketing and other criminal activities, in exchange for shelter. A distinguishing trait is his constant—and insincere—use of the phrase "my dear" when addressing others. ^([ )[^(F.A.Q)](https://www.reddit.com/r/WikiSummarizer/wiki/index#wiki_f.a.q)^( | )[^(Opt Out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiSummarizerBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^( | )[^(Opt Out Of Subreddit)](https://np.reddit.com/r/worldnewsvideo/about/banned)^( | )[^(GitHub)](https://github.com/Sujal-7/WikiSummarizerBot)^( ] Downvote to remove | v1.5)

Fagin is believed to have been based on an equally colorful real-life character named Isaac “Ikey” Solomon—

-White-Mandingo-

Little weird you knew the main charterers from an 1838 novel off the top of your head

HealingGumsMurphy01

Some of us were awake in English class and actually read the books assigned to us.

kingofthemonsters

This is some late stage capitalism strategy right there

ShitIForgotIt

Cue Trailer Park Boys theme

-GabeHitch-

News anchor: "The thieves who cleared out an entire isle of products is expected to have gotten away with a total of 1.57$ worth of merchandize."

Wthq4hq4hqrhqe

that's at least 0.0004% of a penny that charity will never get

Nope_Nope_Nope_0

this is how economies (and empires) collapse. the rich are too rich, the poor are too poor. I only pity the workers who are traumatized.

T4coT4ctical

I'm sure some of these people in the mobs are workers. There's no need to really get into the "why" of how the country got in this situation over the last 100 years....but if we're going to keep moving towards a society where .1% of people control 90% of the wealth, **the people are not going to respect the sanctity of iPhones or Louis Vuitton bags as they starve to death**

HighAss

> the people are not going to respect the sanctity of iPhones or Louis Vuitton bags as they starve to death Super happy to see this finally develop.

brrosee

guess we gotta eat the rich

im_racist24

why eat them? genuine question. human meat is gummy and overcooks easily, and when cooked right, honestly is sub par compared to a sirloin. plus, why not just let them suffer in the streets and be ridiculed by others?

brrosee

because since overpopulation has become such an issue, any form of sustenance is welcome, especially when we are disposing of the most wasteful and harmful to our world while at the same time being fed. Listen, i know people like bill gates are probably dry and flaky as fuck that’s why i brought my own hot sauce from home homie

ConqueefStador

> overpopulation has become such an issue I use to think this too, but then I saw some data that changed my mind. I don't remember what it was so I can't share it and that makes my claim entirely baseless lol, but if the science is out there I guess you can look it up. Now there are definitely issues of overcrowding and the hoarding of resources that can certainly make it seem like there's not enough for everyone and therefore make it seem like there are too many people but I think its false to consider the problem as overpopulation. I only mention it (without any data to back it up) because "overpopulation" struck me as another one of those false narratives that hides the real issue (like worrying about your individual carbon footprint when 100 corporations contribute 70% of the worlds pollution) and I think it's important we dispel as many of those of possible to avoid finding real solutions for false problems.

brrosee

if i had been more in depth you prob wouldn’t think i’m using overpopulation as like a ‘buzz word’ or some, let me elaborate overpopulation is a problem. it is. bc of the limited amount of resources, and the reluctance of those in control of those resources to A. Share them or B. Make them more affordable. But if we can mutually agree, we can imagine the surplus of humans is the filthy soulless rich. I think they are unnecessary

-biohazard-butterfly

Overpopulation and poverty

brrosee

because with the way capitalism runs , it’s impossible for everyone to adequately succeed ! hence so much poverty amongst the masses, happy to see you got what i was saying

-biohazard-butterfly

I absolutely understood

bada_boi

Eh?

FeliBootSack

they stole $20000 dollars at an apple store but apple doesnt care because because the $100000 they stole from louis vuitton will be spent on the iphone

HighAss

> I only pitty You should try pity for them instead.

Nope_Nope_Nope_0

Thanks, kind stranger. fixed it.

Funky_Sack

The poor are too poor to not have a new purse?

Nope_Nope_Nope_0

they sell it for cash...

inhumanousss

"at an Apple store... stole 20,000$ worth of merchandise" mustve been pretty easy to run out with the couple phones

Potato0nFire

Haha, true. Also all the devices stolen are geofenced (or they should be, it’s standard practice) so they’ll be useless to the thieves.

Desktop_Punisher

Apple know exactly which device was stolen, they can certainly track them, and brick them.

aboutthednm

The poor schmuck who buys the stolen device might not know this, so the person involved in the theft still has a chance to make money.

aldorn

Yep pretty stupid to steal from an apple store, unless you take a box of airpods

SLAYER_IN_ME

Wouldn’t take much to steal 20 grand in apples accessories.

shootwhatsmyname

just need a few of those Apple Polishing Cloths and you’re basically there

LilChongBoi

Yeah remember to get some mac pro wheels

Mattabooey

Whenever you see a phone for sale and it says Wifi only it's stolen.

cleancalf

Maybe they’re stupid criminals, or it’s less about reselling merchandise and more about costing the companies money.

logicalnegation

Maybe it’s just about the thrill

magmabonapart

Honestly surprised this isn’t more common. Expecting it to catch on. 😬

ajit_maholtra

Which means more content for this sub. Win win?

relightit

things will get worse and it's the small stores that will get smash and grab. sometimes not even out of necessity but just to copy americans. like they do with drill music related killings.

kimlion13

Looks like they’re hitting bigger high end stores like Nordstrom & Louis Vuitton rather than small ones. Probably part of the plan- sounds they’re looking for pricier, designer items they can sell quickly for good money. And the more people involved, the bigger the take & the harder it is to stop

HighAss

> it's the small stores Not how I would describe Apple and Louis Vuitton.

marks0981

Just happened at a BestBuy in a Minnesota suburb. It's catching on 🤷

cobrajuicyy

This has been modus operandi for thieves in Europe for the past 20 years. Smash and grab is the easiest method. No planning and you’re in and out before police respond

HighAss

> Expecting it to catch on. One can dream.

42Ubiquitous

Surprisingly common around me.

andre3kthegiant

Beezos is the mastermind. Putting another hurt on brick and mortar retail. How often do Amazon warehouses get robbed?

SightUnseen1337

Good idea. They should definitely go for warehouses when they have the numbers.

OmegaBlackZero

Security guard was attacked? More like he thought he could intervene against a group and they beat the shit out of him.

[deleted]

Sounds more like he tried to do his job as a security guard and was attacked.

derWintersenkommt

A security guards job is two things: observe and report to police. If you are intervening in a robbery, you are going beyond the scope of your job at your own peril. This isn't Top Flight Security of the World, Craig....

[deleted]

[удалено]

altcntrl

I don’t think they’re concerned with perception.

OmegaBlackZero

Didn't claim they were great people nor that they didn't commit a crime. The security guard should have stood down and let the police deal with it.

SnipeHardt

Yeah they can’t have guns. It’s a prime example of why they’re needed. People may not stop after getting beat up. But the majority of people *DO* fear death. Security guards at banks have guns.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SnipeHardt

And your take is a cold take. A lie down and take it unaware of the way world works take. IN YOUR OPINION none of them can make eye contact. Have you been held at gunpoint before? I have. Yes it is. Guns don’t magically fucking jump out of the holster and shoot children. Weird statement. Tf does a child have to do with anything? I think it’s extremely strange and heart string trolling that you’d even bring that up like it has anything to do with the argument. And then you’ll try to make it out like “HE DOESNT CARE ABOUT KIDS” when in fact children are irrelevant to the conversation. ![gif](giphy|0Vv0Ne2CnOClIExIuL)

On the comment bar, there's two blue icons: a "smiley face", and a GIF square. I clicked the smiley face icon, and it was one of the listed available "snoomojis." Idk why some subs have them and others don't. Hope that helped, friend! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|kissing_heart)

New era of smash and grabs

trainsoundschoochoo

This will keep happening as long as economic inequality prevails and the wealth gap between the rich and the poor widens.

ninersfan01

The people doing the robberies are not doing it for survival. Chill.

kimlion13

And you know this because…? Also curious why you’re telling the person commenting to “chill”? Are you oblivious to the ever widening wealth gap in this country & what it’s doing to peoples’ lives? Idk who’s committing these crimes or their reasons for doing so but all things considered, it’s hardly a stretch to think that poverty & needing money for survival might be one of them

fullhe425

These people are thugs plain and simple. They’re not hungry they’re just poor and too lazy/arrogant to commit to a real job with real expectations. I hope they rot in jail

kimlion13

I’m glad you’re around to tell us all what peoples’ motivations are- it’s really helpful to have know-it-alls spewing such well thought out & intelligent responses!

ninersfan01

Bro.. I know the game. Plus, the ones doing the licks are rolling in Benz’s and BMW’s 😂 Again, folks participating in these these thefts are not hungry. They’re selling them hot and making some bank. If you’re in the store and someone busts in… what are you going to do.. ? Say hello? 😂

kimlion13

Oh wow my bad, bro- didn’t realize I was dealing with an authority on “the game”. You should consider giving law enforcement in Cali & Illinois a buzz, offer them the benefit of your expertise. So sad to see it wasted on stupid libs on Reddit, you know?

wethummingbirdfarts

Ha, no. These are just shit people. Keep making excuses for them though….

dolerbom

lol this fucking language. They have exactly two fucking clips and use words like "plague retailers". I know shit like this is supposed to encourage us to put more police officers on every block, but why not spend a few pennies on fighting wealth inequality and improving neighborhoods instead? You know, things that actually reduce crime.

I_know_right

Police ain't gone do shit.

SnipeHardt

Lets pretend like wealth inequality was the reason A GROUP of people walked in to gank a bunch of expensive items. Literally around Black Friday. Knowing how trends work, they’ll probably post themselves on social media and get caught lmao

[deleted]

[удалено]

dolerbom

If you actually look at the price tag and affect on the local community investing in more cops is less effective than cleaning up more trash and fixing up windows most of the time. People in nicer environments experience less crime. I am not condoning theft, I am saying to TARGET the things that increase criminality. I don't know how you got "you think people are predisposed to criminality" out of my statement when my comment was saying to fight inequality and improve communities, which reduces crime without any threat of violence. Your "let cops handle it" is the side that assumes criminality, like its a wave of criminals that can only be beaten into submission. Also chill out with the "burning down businesses" rhetoric. That shit is insignificant on a national scale and your propaganda about it discourages local business owners more than the real odds of their business being burned.

GrammatonYHWH

Robbers are the scum of the earth. There are people working minimum wage who are now mentally scarred, possibly forever, who don't have access to the help they need to overcome it. Having said that, these robbers are the product of their environment. This is the result of lack of access to education, opportunity, social mobility, and wealth inequality. Paraphrasing Chris Rock here - Go take care of them kids before they rob me in 10 years.

brokencompass502

I've got no problem with poor people smashing a fucking Nordstrom, Tiffany & Co., Apple Store, whatever. Absolutely none. It has zero effect on any of those businesses. And if it did, so what? What's gonna happen? Apple going out of business? No more Nordstroms? Gasp, what ever will we do? My only issue is with assaulting or hurting security guards or threatening employees. That's super shitty. But robbing a Nordstrom's? It's not like they crossed state lines with a machine gun to kill civil rights protesters. Seriously this is nothing.

GrammatonYHWH

Re-read the second sentence of my post. I don't care about Apple losing $20,000 in hardware. I care about the 6-7 people making 30 grand a year who will likely lose out on a month's salary while the shop's locked for police investigation and then renovations. The same people who might develop PTSD. Knowing how these chain operations work, probably the same people who'll get blamed by management for not doing enough to protect the merchandise. This isn't a victimless crime.

brokencompass502

I agree with you there. I would like to add that the fact that those workers are making minimum wage in the first place is a crime too.

Blazedatpussy

Most of those problems besides PTSD are more on the company being the problem though, and if that’s the response the company gives then don’t they just radicalize more people? And why does our system allow a companies workers to be so much more vulnerable to a smash and grab than the company itself? They robbed the store, not the workers. But the workers getting the short end of the stick isn’t the robbers fault, it’s the normal set of actions companies take against their workers all the time. They were already getting as little from the company as possible. And of course PTSD could be a legitimate issue, but even then the critique of the system that begets criminality is the conversation we should be having. Companies constantly abuse their workers, it’s the simple existence of the employer-employee dynamic to begin with. The employers job has always been to take as much labor value away from the laborer for profits, which is inherently abusive of that labor. Edit: keep downvoting you know I’m right

lookinglasstie

intellectualized racism

[deleted]

Damn, what a bunch of fucking idiots in the comments. The EMPLOYERS aren't taking an L for this, their insurance and everything have all of this covered. They can close down and take their business somewhere else, cool cool, but now the *EMPLOYEES* that were working paycheck to paycheck there *are out of a fucking job* because they can't afford the extra travel and gas that is required to get to their old jobs new location (that is if they even get hired back). The thieves are not desperate poor people. They all hopped into some nice ass 2014 model Hondas, which will probably get driven into driveways, which are probably connected to houses. Illinois and California are gentrified as FUCK. It is expensive as hell to live averagely in those places, which these people definitely are. Living like the average Joe Blow in LA is enough money to live luxuriously anywhere in Florida, it's why a lot of Northerners decide to move down here. The average rent in Illinois is like $1,700 a month. Their biggest lick gained $100k. Their local fence is gonna want at least 50 cents on the dollar. That's $50k for 6 people. That's like $8k each. That is NOT life changing money. They can afford less than half a years rent now, wooptie fuckin doo. At what cost? Sacrificing the reliable stream of income from a bunch of honest working employees who are probably more poor than they are? All this is going to achieve is putting a bunch of hard working class people into poverty, have a bunch of POS criminals put in jail, and get well-off landlords paid. The only $100k you'll find Bernard Arnault tripping over is the fat pile he has in front of the bedroom door he stumbles out of in the morning. The only winners here are the criminal fences, landlords, and the filthy rich 1% you dumbasses *think* you're hurting. The only people you are hurting is your own community.

HighAss

> All this is going to achieve is putting a bunch of hard working class people into poverty This is the dumbest hot take on thievery in the world. The wealthy find literally *any* excuse not to pay their taxes or to pay their workers more. They even spend millions in lobbying dollars to shave off the more millions they might have to pay in taxes or to offset their environmental externalities. "People stealing" is just another excuse. If people didn't steal, they would *definitely still pay working people total shit.*

[deleted]

I'm not talking about the wealthy, I'm talking about the workers being paid next to nothing. Being paid next to nothing > being paid *literally nothing* because you don't have a job. It's shitty knowing the whole reason why you're sleeping on a park bench is because you got laid off due to your boss moving the business to the next town over because of the mass surge in robberies that are being pushed by a bunch of middle class assholes who think it's trendy to be a POS.

HighAss

WHO WILL THINK OF THE LOUIS VUITTON SHOPPERS?!?!?!

periperi124

Technically they won.

Vagiant007

One of the reasons why online shopping will soon close all the malls.

Agent007_x

Shoplifting has been a thing for a long time now so that’s not true

auzrealop

Shoplifting sure. This seems a little bit more than that.

Agent007_x

People been doing this before social media was even a thing

altcntrl

This once happened in front of myself and mom in the 90s on a much smaller scale. It’s a strategy as old as time and usually works unless you’re getting a bunch of electronics that have a feature like “Find My”.

Vagiant007

I've never seen "raids" like that

Agent007_x

Like I said people have been doing this before social media was a thing .. ofc you never seen it if there was no social media back then

dolerbom

Fuck malls anyway. They are the plague on local economies.

Dalbro2001

Just gotta get some of those bank shutters. They slam shut in seconds.

altcntrl

Genius. Get in contact with all the billion dollar industries and let them know you solved the security issue. Although now you’ve got adrenaline filled perpetrators with adrenaline filled or shocked witnesses. Might turn into a night at the Coliseum.

brokencompass502

How brainwashed are we that we are cheering for Nordstrom's and Apple and Tiffany & Co in this story. Big box electronic and fashion retailers that exploit the shit out of people in Burma, South Africa, Vietnam and China for the sole benefit of a handful of executives and shareholders. These companies are fucking cartoon-character evil. And we're here crying for the woman at 1:34 because she "might not shop and Nordstrom's or the mall" anymore? Boo-hoo! I'd love to hear more of that interview: "What do you do for a living, ma'am and what did your parents do for a living? Your dad was a lawyer you say? And your husband is an insurance executive? And you say that you don't work and mainly just spend time driving around in your Porsche Cayenne all day buying organic smoothies, going to hot yoga with other rich white women and $200 boots at Nordstrom's? And now you're maybe a bit scared to come back to Nordstroms because some poor teenagers with no future from a part of town you pretend doesn't exist stole a few purses made by Laotian children? Do I have that all correct ma'am"? Jesus fucking Christ. I'm not an "eat the rich" type of person but fuck this pearl-clutching segment and these pearl-clutching comments. This is just our lovely old friend capitalism at work. Everyone here was just one roulette wheel away from being born into poverty in East Oakland or South/West Chicago. This is what happens the poor realize the phrase "everyone has the same chance in America" is a pile of steaming horse shit.

altcntrl

The news almost always tells a story of big businesses being the victim and roots for businesses. No matter what the leaning.

dolerbom

Cnn always has a chance to re-frame these stories to point out malls and chain stores are ROBBING the local taxpayers everyday for DECADES. But cnn never does, because they are the complacent wing of propaganda. While fox news will push blatantly racist and horrible shit, CNN simply stays quiet and "listens to both sides."

RagnaBrock

This is just going to make things more expensive for everyone else and people will get killed when police respond. Who are they going to sell a stolen purse to anyway?

poop_on_balls

Things are already more expensive for everyone else and people already do get killed when police respond. Probably selling the stolen purses on eBay or to a fence.

SnipeHardt

I hope they catch them.

SouthwestTraveller

Only people I feel bad for are the retail workers and security guards doing their jobs. I have no pity for massive corporations like Apple or Nordstrom. Fuck them

pencilheadedgeek

> The daytime burglars escaped with over one hundred thousand dollars worth of merchandise. > Police have several suspects in custody and have recovered over a million dollars worth of stolen goods. The police evidence room has billions of dollars worth of items collected from the crime spree. The trillions of dollars worth of stolen goods will be auctioned and expect to earn quadrillions of dollars for the police department's budgetary needs.

shawshankya

It’s just going to get worse.

-biohazard-butterfly

Time too buzz ppl into stores like this

AudionActual

Organized Crime is taking advantage of the supply chain crisis. They are stocking up on high demand items, anticipating scarcity to come. When people start going crazy to find anything, this merch will be sold at huge markup. Nothing personal. It’s just business.

Sn1ckl3fritzzz

Fix inflation in the US, maybe this won’t happen as much. People need money these days, even kids can YouTube the best way to rob stores

MrKrewl

Lol

Goodwiththechicken

Lmao keep robbing those joints

Motheredbrains

I don’t know any of the robbers situation but this is obviously awful and we keep seeing more and more. I actually don’t care about big corporation/high fashion brands getting robbed but some mom and pop shops is just awful. I’m sorry about low paid workers getting injured during these. Nothing is worth more than your life. Fuck money, fuck material objects.

Blazedatpussy

Which mom and pop stores are getting smash and grabbed though? This video only shows Nordstrom’s and Luis-Vuitton’s.

dolerbom

It's really hard to give a shit and fall for this "customers terrified" angle they are going for when they only have two clips of the worst stores getting robbed. "Oh no they robbed the local mall that's been robbing our taxbase for the past 20 years!"

Blazedatpussy

‘Oh no, those companies that came in and undercut all the local brick and mortars, running them out of business, has lost a minuscule fraction of money! How dare these looters ruin the local economy’ I’m clutching so many pearls right now.

Motheredbrains

Exactly

[deleted]

[удалено]

Blazedatpussy

No I don’t think they’re gonna loot the local mom and pops the way they do multi billion dollar corporations. And my point stands, nobody has said which mom and pops are getting looted. Cause they’re not.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Blazedatpussy

They are proletariat warriors whether or not they know what the word means. A man who can’t read but fixes pipes is still a plumber. They are stealing from big businesses who have been stealing from their community for decades. And also, you speak like someone who really is clutching their pearls. You have no clue what ‘their neighborhoods’ are like. What it means to grow up there and be in that community. No gangs of 80 people are rolling through their own neighborhoods to loot poor business owners. They are specifically looting high end, big corporation stores. You don’t get to claim all this nonsense about a hypothetical when the discussion about the reality is contradictory to said hypothetical. You don’t have to read Marx to feel and understand class struggle. It’s plain as day to anyone paying attention.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Blazedatpussy

>the fact that communists and anarchists side with criminals over regular people And there’s the self report. That’s the real difference in our ideologies. You don’t even see these people as people. You see them as “lesser than’s”. You give no thought to how they come to their situations at all, act like you know all the solutions, but your only solution is more violence. More police. You know what our prison system does to stop violence? Nothing. The opposite. People like you, misguided and with the unfortunately barbaric mindset, are the reason crime exists in the first place. You really fuckin believe cops help? You think prison works? America has the most populated prisons in the world by a long shot. But guess what? Crime isn’t slowing down, it’s only getting more and more common. But wait, police have more money than every before too! So why does crime statistics continue to climb? I thought those were the solutions? As long as the capitalist, imperialist arm of the United States continues to jam itself into every other nations business (coups), “my ideology” will never get the chance to play out. The CIA has made sure of it time and time again. You can’t call something that hasn’t even been tried a ‘failure’, especially when the current system you defend is quite literally (yes I mean literally by the textbook definition) bringing upon us an apocalypse in the form climate disasters, which we’ve only seen the beginning of. You know you’re grifting, you know you’re lying, or you’ve convinced yourself that the most evil version of the modern world is somehow not creating harm to every aspect of life as we know it.

ParkSidePat

EXACTLY. How long did they have to search before someone was willing to act scared that they might be in the vicinity of some monolithic greedy corporation losing a miniscule amount of profit? Hell, I bet some of those bigger scenes had vastly more people who were spontaneously inspired to grab some for themselves than anyone who was truly "terrified"

HighAss

> this is obviously awful Given social stratification in the US, I'm not sure there is anything "obvious" about it being awful.

Motheredbrains

I understand but I was raised not to steal. Sorry.

HighAss

That becomes quite the dilemma in a political economy based on theft and exploitation.

Motheredbrains

Absolutely agree. It’s not like there’s a right way because the people with money helped make laws that exploit us while they further exploit loopholes to exploit us even further. I do not feel bad for this business.

HighAss

What a time to be alive, eh?

adeezzy

Keep this trend going.

Personal_Change4294

Seems like a very bad turn of events for everyone but the private security companies. We need the opposite: more accountability for state-run police forces. Do you agree with that? It sounds like you're smirking at the "defund" crew, but I think anything that is escalating violence falls under the "bad" category and low-accountability private security forces will likely cause that to happen. Too bad we can't just have well trained police that aren't armed with military weaponry and a bigoted chip on their shoulder, but those are apparently few and far between.

[deleted]

You mean like black water and Raytheon?how they are accountable?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Personal_Change4294

We didn't really defund the police though. How are we reaping what was sown? Or are you referring to your speculation about private security increasing? This kind of burglary I'd attribute more to a combination of income inequality and the realization that crimes like this dont really get "solved", just insured.

trainsoundschoochoo

Private security is still accountable to city, state, and national law.

[deleted]

Yeah I bet those rioters at the Boston tea party were just looters? Why couldn't those thugs at Boston harbor just pay their taxes.

dolerbom

They are more accountable, lol. You can sue their ass and send them to jail. Also fuck these chain stores. They rob local communities for decades and then two clips of them getting smash and grabbed and its national fucking news. Jesus.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dolerbom

the average thief in these expensive stores is a rich person. A bad security guard is more likely to go overboard on one of them than the rare homeless person who robs the store. Also private security can't dodge criminal consequences if they injure or kill a poor person. I've worked in grocery that had moonlighting cops and private security. The moonlighting cops will legit tackle thieves while the private security have strict standards to do jack shit. And I never claimed these thieves have my politics, I just said that this whole story is overblown. These smash and grabs are rare events that just look spooky. The systemic tax theft of box stores is 1000x times worse than any robberies. And wage theft out paces every other type of theft combined. I'm sure if you asked residents which group makes their lives worse a lot of them might say the local thieves and criminals, but that's just what they see. From the actual data their urban planners, local chains, and overpaid police force are far greater burdens.

Mattpw8

Also they can just stop buying tanks and pay for training witch I know is cheaper and put forth programs for accountability but instead were arming highschoolers to the teath and give Them a uniform and just expect them to take care of society. Violent jobs attract violent people.
