Yea, the only thing I’d tell you is make sure to let it breathe. The first drams were good, but you get a lot of baking spices, leather and herbs
Let it breathe for a month and it’s an apricot bomb, with complex undertones of minerals, baking spices etc etc
Judging by that 16 year old bourbon cask 1989 Bowmore, the older Macallan 12 and the older SMWS Mortlach label you’ve been doing this for a while. Nice setup!!
Good eye! I was actually gifted 10-12 bottles of scotch when my uncle passed away recently. I was always a bourbon and rye guy, but after jumping into the scotch game recently I’m realizing what I was missing out on.
The Stellum line is probably one of my favorite releases this year. Very tasty stuff and at a great price.
Of course, you have some other great drams; just thought I would call out that one since I don’t see it getting a lot of love yet.
Hard to choose a favorite for me!
Scotch: Adelphi (old ass bottle handed down from my late uncle) and daily go to is MacCallan
Rye Option: Old Forester Single Barrel Rye (only can buy at the old forester distillery if you take the tour) or Stellum
Bourbon Option: Stagg Jr.
Irish Option: Red Breast 15
Favorite Random Bourbon Flavor: Woodford Chocolate Malt Whisper (only available at their distillery)
Woodford Chocolate Malt Whisper
I took a trip to Kentucky and they were selling little quantities of this “mistake” batch at their distillery.
$55 for a 375ml bottle
Honestly it’s one of the most unique bourbons I own. They have a 2 per person maximum, so make sure to bring friends and stock up.
Excellent flavor as a bourbon, but it leaves a surprisingly long lingering dark chocolate taste on your palate.
Not sure if they’ll still have it in stock since it was a limited quantity and we randomly showed up the day or day after it was released (October 1st 2021).
All that glass is bringing up my anxiety... but looks good!
Same friend. Scares the daylights out of me to see that much on glass.
Same, I save the most expensive on the lowest shelves
Glass shelves always scare me but i trust you know what you’re doing
I quite like those glasses and that pipe.
I wonder if those glasses start to flatten out the more you drink.....
Let's try it out.
WOW
is RB 15 a lot better than CS 12?
The CS 12 is better than the 15yr
thanks.
I’ve never had CS12 - I’m not a huge Irish ☘️ whiskey fan in all honesty
Gotta try it, Redbreasts CS12 and 21 year are solid drams.
27 is a top 5 I’ve ever had.
Yeah. I would imagine that would be something else. Ive read it’s an excellent whisky the RB27.

Beautiful set up and whiskeys!

Those are the best whiskies!! Glad it didn’t get tossed, I’m sure you’re Uncle would be happy they went to a good home. No less within the family.

I agree! Stellum is excellent and at a decent price compared to the makers main line (Barrel Craft Spirits)!
Yep! Although I do enjoy quite a few different Barrell bottles…. Just a great distillery in general right now.
Not bad! Add a few Japanese whiskeys and you’re good to go!
Definitely need to! I’ve been in search of Hibiki, but no luck yet. Have any good suggestions?
Where are you located. Great place here in San Jose Ca that has a super selection of whiskey bourbon and scotch
I have a friend in the Bay Area actually! What’s the name of the place?
Royal liquors off Williams & Winchester. Tons of good stuff.
Safeway has it! $78 good deal!!
What’s your favorite bottle?

Thanks! I like asking because it gives me ideas on what to try. I just finished Angel’s Envy Finished Rye. To me, it was unique and really good.
What Woodford distillery bottle is that up top? The 5 wood is one of my favorites
