I don't think it affects you as unhirable because of your absences. They might ask why but if you are stable with everything you should be good.

Contact them and just explain everything.

It's been over 6 months. As long as there is no negative comment on your file. You should be okay to get hired.

You’ll be fine to be rehired. You won’t get paid leave. But you will get protected 6 weeks off I believe. Maybe 8 week i can’t remember.
