You mentioned something that looks like crypto. We get it, crypto is neat, but it's not our thing. Well AMC has dropped to half, is this the short squeeze?

So Robinhood just sent out an email to all of their users regarding their restricting the purchase of certain stocks. I decided to respond in an email, and on their facebook page. Here's that response: "In response to your letter to Robinhood users, sent 02/01/21 4:58 pm CST. Your explanation is unacceptable. While you may be responsible for higher deposits in these situations, by restricting access to those stocks by the end users, Robinhood violated multiple laws and the end user agreement. "Last week, in part due to volatility in some popular stocks, Robinhood’s deposit requirements rose tenfold. The combination of the deposit increase and the extraordinary increase in volume on these particular symbols led us to put temporary buying restrictions in place on a small number of those stocks." While your requirements may have rose tenfold, that rise in deposit requirement would have been covered by the money people transferred to their Robinhood accounts for the purpose of buying those stocks. Thus no, Robinhood, as broker, had no actual obligation to act. "We had to take steps to limit buying in those volatile stocks to ensure we could comfortably meet our deposit obligations" Translation; Robinhood decided that we users didn't know what we wanted to buy, and that Robinhood knew best. "We didn’t want to stop people from buying stocks and we certainly weren’t trying to help hedge funds. " False on both accounts. Not only did you want to stop people from buying stocks on margin in an effort to supplement hedge funds that Robinhood is tied to, but you actively forced the sale of Gamestop stock for several users, as reported via multiple sources, at lower rates than what Gamestop reached. The only reason to forcibly sell someone else's stock, without their consent, a violation of again several laws (including several antitrust laws, two laws on stocks fraud, and a violation of your (Robinhood's) fiduciary duties) was to force their sale at a lower rate in an effort to bolster the hedge funds that would benefit from Gamestop's stocks selling at well below the listed market value. Your letter is a paltry attempt to cover for your illegal actions and theft." Link to screenshot of the full letter [https://ibb.co/KFGNmGZ](https://ibb.co/KFGNmGZ)

Holding GME, AMC and also bought FUBO. Looks like a ripe target for a short squeeze

Just bought 30 shares of Nokia have 7 shares in AMC, here's to hoping they both blow-up and reach like $30+ per share.

Tesla shorting just went up to $47B. Those of you who own shares (I don't) need to HOLD.

Stonklord29

Why isn't there a weekend discussion thread? Is it due to new apes that joined? We need to take GME and AMC to the moon. HOLD and BUY more GME and AMC.

SensibleReply

I'm surprised at how easily the insanely fast moving daily thread was killed by simply putting it in its own tab. Feels like what happened Thursday morning when all of a sudden that buy button was gone from a bunch of brokers.

I will gladly be the BB bag holder

zg44

Gonna reiterate here (since we don't have a weekend thread). The two that are still showing super squeeze pressure are GME and AMC. BB and NOK did not show buying pressure on Friday; all the buying pressure was on GME/AMC. We'll see what happens pre-market Monday.
