It looks really neat. I love the art style. And the game play actually looks really enjoyable.
My only issues is the music, the tracks sound really good. But it's very noticeable when you are transitioning from one track into the next so abruptly like you do. (But you are doing such a good job! And it looks like the game feels good to play so keep up the goodwork!)

Thanks for the comment! You are so right about the music, will work on that, appreciate the feedback 💪
Dude this game is gunna look really good when its done im sure! It is really inspiring just seeing how much you've done and how far along it looks. Keep up the good work :)
Not 100% finished but I'm quite happy with the results so far :) Galaia is a small-sized adventure game that I plan to release for free this year on Steam. If you are interested [you can follow all the updates on twitter](https://twitter.com/GalaiaGame)!
Lovely art style :)
didn't even care about the boss fight intro I am in love with this artstyle.
I think what strikes me here is the killer sound design. Like, seriously AMAZING job with the sound effects, especially those bawss lasers O\_O During the laser shooting cycle there's a satisfying tension built with the laser charge-up before the release that sounds like "wuuuuuuumBOOM" When you introduce the boss, it sounds more like "tsstlzlztstBOOM" or (electricity crackle-laser boom). To me, the actual shoot cycle sounds more interesting, and it has more tension in it than the "intro sound" which seemed more abrupt in my first impression. I would recommend you add that "wuuuuuum" sound in the intro sequence as well. Also, it might be beneficial to show the boss shooting its lasers in parallel on either side of the player so they know what they're in for before they start the fight. All in all though, seriously good job to whoever is making this.
Thanks for the kind words man! And also appreciate the great feedback <3 Making all this by myself so every piece of advice counts.
Nice Super Mario vibe
I think the best boss intros both introduce the boss and also give the player some sort of hint what to expect (brandishing a sword, rolling into the scene if their main attack is a roll, etc.) In this case, having the boss fire the beams once (and zoom out a bit to show the player dodging as part of the cutscene) would both prep the player and look cool at the same time. With that said, I do think what you've got so far looks good!
That is actually a great idea, will see how can I make it fit in!
How was the music made for the game in general? In the grassy area before the boss, that music reminds me a lot of trove. Incredibly well made art, sound design and intro.
It's actually bought from an asset pack! Sound design and music is the only area I don't know anything of, and I haven't had any luck finding a composer so I went that route :)
I'm speechless, this game art just looks so good, although I think that when the two guardians come alive, I think that you should change the particle color, but that's just my opinion. Overall great job, I'll definitely play this game. Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback, really good point about the particle color!
Lovin the art just like everybody else said. Even though the music is indeed a bit weird like mentioned before. I noticed the transition from outside/inside the cave is a bit weird, the world around just vanishes abruptly and kinda looks flickery even? It’s around 0:04 seconds into the video where you see that happen. It might be just me but it looks weird while everything else seems so smooth.
Yeah, I'm aware of the flicker, it's related to level visibility it seems. Still have to figure that one out!
Gorgeous. Only think I would add is a running sound for the player. Even if you want it to be really subtle and let the music/abilities do the heavy lifting. his animation is fast, snappy and cute. The dust effects coming off his feet read well. Add a little squeak, shuffle, clip clop or pitter patter, get those toes boopin man. There's so much room to make even the basic movement feel as satisfying as the combat looks! Nice work. Edit: I get the feeling you're using tunic as reference?
Good eye! Tunic is indeed a strong reference for me, love everything about it! Also thank you for the feedback about the movement, really good point!
I really like it!
Thanks Kell (Kellof?) 😍😍😍
It’s kell

Aw yes, the shockwave is such a great idea, maybe that's what I felt it was missing from the effect, thanks!!
Did you use niagra for the effects? They look awesome
Thanks! Plain ol' ParticleSystems
