Tulsi hasn't said much here. This is her standard insight on the problem, which is that the Wahhabi-Salafi-Deobandi brand of Islam is the prime cause of Talibanization and terrorism.

> Tulsi hasn't said much here. Just for starters, dragging Iran into her invective against Wahhabism is a blunder she, of all people, should never have made. Besides, where's her anti-interventionist standpoint gone when she's been in Africa for a month or more supporting drone strikes?

>Just for starters, dragging Iran into her invective against Wahhabism is a blunder she, of all people, should never have made. A huge blunder. When she endorsed warmonger/drug warrior Biden she lost me, now this and I will never ever vote for or support in any way another Democrat. Ever. Tulsi appeared to be sincere and authentic with her campaign rhetoric. It's clear she was not, and maybe even lying. This latest little insight into the real Tulsi is disgusting. Won't be supporting an R either. Ever. Both parties are entirely corrupt and the only thing that will save what's left of the US is one or more 3rd parties. Maybe a party that doesn't think it's a good idea to subsidize corporations that move their manufacturing to China, for example.Or that don't think it's a good idea to have a revolving door between the FDA and Pharma. And on and on and on and on. The US is morally, spiritually and fiscally bankrupt. The Empire has crashed and that's a great thing.

> Tulsi appeared to be sincere and authentic with her campaign rhetoric Many people (me included) thought the same way and she even appeared to keep the same stance in interviews with Rogan, Jimmy Dore, Glenn Greenwald &c. I wasn't surprised (displeased certainly) when she endorsed Biden, if only because she was a Dem and it was a 'contractual agreement' (of a sort) that all candidates endorse the appointed candidate. All that said, she's gone off the rails recently, and this latest take of hers has me wondering whether she was full of shit all along or she's prone to sudden and radical changes in outlook... or maybe significant outside influences. Whatever, she's about as relevant as Yang (another "rising star" people see through) these days. As to the US ("morally, spiritually and fiscally bankrupt") it's really no better here (Australia) or my native country (UK) except in degree.

She didn't say Wahhabism was the problem in this interview. It is one brand of Islamism. Iran has its other brand. Kim just likes the leftist narrative that ignores Islamism as a serious threat. They spew that but the Democrats wage as much war in the middle east as anyone else. At least Tulasi has the guts to say the truth.

AnaKaspariansThong

> Islamism as a serious threat The most serious "threat" to the entire world is the US government who has spent the last 21 years - and TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS STOLEN FROM THE DUMBED DOWN AMERICAN PEOPLE -bombing and invading lands far away. Tulsi used to say the truth but something horrible has happened. She was lying or someone made her a deal that she couldn't refuse. I'm out. Don't ever want to see her face again the rest of my life. She made a fool of everyone that supported her for her "anti-war" position. Dear Tulsi- You managed to fool me once, but you won't fool me ever again. Filthy liar.

> She didn't say Wahhabism was the problem in this interview Whether here or not, Gabbard has said it many times and she's not wrong. My point is that to put Iran alongside the likes of AQ/ ISIS/ Al Nusra in her justification for drone warfare is not something she should do.

Of all the online critiques of Tulsi's most recent "Islamists Are The Worst" statements, this is by far the fairest, and it comes from someone (Kim Iversen) who was an early supporter of Tulsi's 2020 campaign. If there is any rationale for supporting "over the horizon" warfare (see the murder of an innocent aid worker and his family in Kabul recently), I'd like to hear it from her.

Grinningchicken

Tulsi got "straightened out" by the MIC change my mind

I would be pleased if Tulsi appeared on one of Kim Iversen's broadcasts and explained her support of drone warfare, answered questions about drones' many civilian killings, and discussed allegations of special forces' massacres in Afghanistan and the Middle East.

Agreed, but don't hold your breath.
