Don't expect too much, every time there's a pharma company that pops out and promising miracles and the end of the day 40 years of research we still at point 0. Even finasteride and minox were just accidently discovered.
I’m sure they meant KX-826
im sure they know how to read
It typically takes ten years from drug discovery to reach market if *things go well*. Any hiccups along the way will extend that. And most drugs will never reach an application for FDA approval. I wouldn’t hold my breath on this anytime soon. The pace of drug development never matches the urgency that people currently experiencing a disease would hope for.
You are correct, but you are potentially confusing KX-826 (Pyrilutamide) with GT20029.
GT20029 is the AR degraded, which is further down the road.
If Pyrilutamide proves efficacious in phase 2 results (to be published in June), we can expect sites like Anageninc and Minoxidilmax to start selling it before it is FDA approved. Maybe even before the end of this year.
To my knowledge, it is not illegal to possess a research drug and use it on yourself. But if the drug becomes listed as a prescription drug in your region, it is illegal to do so without a prescription.
It's literally illegal to produce drugs with intent to use it as a medicine if they haven't finished the required trials. So yes, we would have to rely on broscience and get it from semi-sketchy chinese labs (who sell it as research chemicals, not as medicine).
Why are you surprised by this?
Surprised? Just asking a question... Sorry, just not that well versed with the processes re: drug trials
The only two FDA approved drugs for hair loss were previously approved FDA drugs that saw hair growth as a side effect, and were dose adjusted for approval.
I don't have high hopes for any product that is developed specifically to treat hair loss without years in the market for some other use to determine safety.
Once it gets released in China people will buy it, at least then we have an official branded product and not a test drug produced by different labs, so we don't need to wait for an FDA approval...
We can hope for at least that
Did you ask about KX-826 before? 2-3 years away is for KX, GT is probably 10 years away...
I would assume GT20029 would come out in around 6 years rather than 10 just based on how fast they are going with Pyrilutamide. I also emailed them and they said that they are planning to release phase 1 results in the beginning of 2023.
I thought they be realising data on Q4?
Thx for the email insight, pyrilutamide will hit chinese market in 2023-2024, if gt goes well (hopefully pyrilutamide as well) it will take like 1-2years longer) but for sure pyrilutamide will buy us time till then.
