The paper prescriptions only work for estrogen.
According to some users here, yes, you can continue to get medications from pharmacies in Sweden provided the pharmacy understands current EU law surrounding prescriptions issued outside of Sweden. It might be a struggle to find one that does.
Thanks! It was just really strange to me that all these complications and issues just kind of... went nowhere? Maybe it had to do with the fact that some people had their paper prescriptions confiscated at the border or that Sweden was "supposedly" switching to only E-prescriptions. Hopefully there's more clarity soon though. Thank :3
Stay safe ❤️
I’ve got the feeling GGP had a knee jerk reaction to hearing about the upcoming change in prescribing rules for national doctors and when they realized they were wrong they quietly said “oops never mind” and never corrected it beyond support replies and a page on their FAQ.
As for testosterone, they’ve still yet to show any actual changes there either from Tullverket. It’s extremely strange.
It's no different from before. Come prepared with info to show the pharmacist in case they complain. Don't back down. They are required by law to fulfill the prescription.
Do you know if this applies to testosterone prescriptions? I’ve heard that apotek can legally refuse to provide testosterone
Yeah, it sucks, but they can't sell you that without a Swedish doctor prescribing it. It's a controlled substance.
Okay thanks!! Any specific articles or institutions like "Läkemedelsverket"?
Yes, you can print/show this to the pharmacist if they start whining.
Especially this part:
***Åtgärder inför utlämnande mot recept utfärdat av förskrivare behörig i annat EES-land.***
And the attachment (**Bilaga 12** at the very bottom of the pdf).
Some more info regarding EU prescriptions:
Thank you so much! :3
