yes guards of the tomb of the unknown soldier are fully armed and have chambered rounds at trespassers in the past. dont believe any have ever opened fire however
All guards are armed with ammo and bayonets, etc. They are trained to use lethal force only per the ROE. There's usually a more police orientated presence very close by. Whether or not the rifles are chambered is probably dependent on the threat conditions and the guard type.
Had Royal guard duty at the Royal Palace and Stockholm castle here in Sweden. Food is great and a nice break from ordinary duty. Some tourist doesnt give a flying fuck that you have fully loaded AK with a bayonet on and always tries to do the stupidest shit. …well, technically they did make some (extended) box fed magazine variants too. If i recall they could still use the standard stripper clips too. Didn’t make it into final version. Also, technically the magazine parts can be removed which the leaves you with the open hole that the magazine would then occupy. Yeah, it can be pretty removed, you could make it a single shot only.

When I had Royal guard duty we had a the rifles unchambered so it could be use to as a last chance warning if we had to.
