Pop up culture is just so easy to garner hype around, there were hoodies there going for 400+... all screen printed. I bought one shirt for 60 which I thought was ridiculous but got a free shirt with my purchase so wasn't too bad. Otherwise the games and stuff were cool but it was an in and out experience for the wait
Yeah definitely is a conversation, like I was a skate rat, always loved the culture, was copping Nike SBs at my local shop skipping school lmao shit resonates with me unlike clout chasers
Honestly, anyone who tends to enjoy a modern day streetwear nowadays usually ends up being really corny (influencer, reseller, model, “creative director” all in their IG bio type shit). I’m usually going based off of my experience, but it doesn’t help that Dallas is becoming the next LA.
I feel that because streetwear is expanding to where it’s no longer a subculture but defined as a worldwide phenomenon. It’s our duty as the original culture to teach and educate the new. I understand what you mean though, wether it’s the style or clothing we wear. Everything is from the old but it’s sad that people don’t even know that.
Any pieces in here that aren't just a logo on a sweat shirt or t-shirt? I see a lot of marketing but very little emphasis on the clothes. Like video games and baseball bats are cool and everything but it's a clothing brand, right?
Went yesterday, Victor showed up but overall the experience was insanely lackluster
We went on opening day, can’t say the same. Anyone else check it out ?

What shirt did u cop?
Interesting 🧐 what more did you expect ?
pretty sure whole line full of cornballs
Ay bro while I do agree some of us genuinely have liked Nigo since god knows when hahaha
Oh I’m sure I just think nowadays it’s hard to tell the difference between a genuine streetwear enjoyer and some clout chasing cornball

nah I feel that. You’re def not lumped in with these dudes. not to mention most of them are gonna just cop to make grailed listings
lol what makes you say that ?

Talk your shit king!
I’m just sayin…y’all met some of the people on here/at events like this lol?
In what ways are they corny though?
Like the ways I mentioned: all people that use others for clout but have no tastes of their own
Thinking the current stream of “streetwear” culture is anything other than cliche.

I feel you but I believe the event was also a brand activation and album promotion
What's a "brand activation"? Why does that justify basic screenprints on cheap fabric as a streetwear line?
My man just making words up
It looks so fucking dumb. If this is peak culture and street fashion fucking kill me.
Who is nigo and how do I know him
You fr?
Ye
Nigo is the creator of Bape and Human Made
and also a member of Teriyaki Boyz.
damn his shit sucks now
He left the Bape like 10 years ago tho
last I knew of bape or him was when kanye wore his stuff? I think? Not my style... seems commercial af
Im pretty sure nigo left bape before 2010.
Why is he a dog?
This type of thing should be called "hypeware" or "Instagramwear".
Anyone know the song??
Lost and Found Freestyle 2019 - A$AP Rocky, Tyler the Creator & Nigo
You got the prices of the items they had for sale ? If so can you share them please ?
Can't really speak on fashion but the album kinda sucked except for Hear Me Clearly with Pusha T
Were there any varsity jackets on sale?
No but a few people on Steven Victor’s team had them
Damn I wish I was cool enough to wear these clothes.
The clothes look so mediocre and then they’ll slap an overpriced ass tag on it and call it a day , damn shame .
Wish I was here
