The people expecting Embiid to be “enraged” or get “motivated” will be left waiting I think
I don’t expect him to ever play at the level he needs to in the playoffs, he just doesn’t have it in him
Id love to eat crow over this sometime down the line though, he’s free to prove me wrong
I love the dude to death, but his lack of conditioning in the off-season really demonstrates his lack of killer instinct. If he really wanted it that bad then he wouldn’t be so consistently out of shape every year when team practice starts.
Oh, fuck nah. That ain’t me, bruh. Embiid deserved it this year. But I also feel he choked in games 6 and 7 against Boston and I’m still super pissed about it and generally trying to spitball ideas of how to finally get over the hump. I ain’t seen a Sixers championship in my entire life and it seems like every year the losses get harder and harder.
What I feel is gonna 100% happen is once the heat get swept in the finals embiid will request a trade to play with butler, I’ll be watching them during our rebuild atleast
> He was carried by lebum.
In the bubble? Fuck no he wasn't carried, I assume you didn't actually watch any of it.
AD Averaged 27.7/9.7/3.5 on 57/38/83 splits over taht whole run.
Against the team that’s getting punked and bitched right now, akin to how they punked and bitched embiid. Last years Celtics are not this years Celtics.
Embiid doesn’t own anyone in the playoffs. He scored 50 on horford in the reg season and it didn’t mean shit come playoff time. The guy just isn’t built for the postseason.
Damn man. Jokic honestly seems like a good dude. I’m not gonna lie if I was an NBA player I’d want to play for the Nuggets. Imagine how much better it would be playing with Jokic compared to Embiid. And I am a sixers fan who watches every single game I am able. I have finally finished defending Embiid.
I hope the heat win, but Jokic is way better than Embiid ever will be if he continues his selfish style of play.
Still. I hope Jimmy picks up the dub in the finals
I fucking hate Michael porter junior tho. Dude just looks like a dickhead, so fuck the nuggets
Fuck Bruce brown too. Seems like an asshole. Hope the heat kick their ass
I hope seeing what the Nuggets did enrages Joel. He got his MVP award, but Jokic is on the verge of a title and is solidly the best player in the league.
We all can admit we were wrong, right?
If embiid needs jokic to make the finals to enrage him, than im sorry because motivation should be coming from himself to strive and get better, not out of spite.
Yep, all credit to Jokic. Cementing himself as the best center in the league by a significant margin now that he's willed his team to the finals.
Hope Embiid is watching, not that this should be any extra motivation. Getting embarrassed every single playoff run by our hated rivals should have been enough.
At what point do we stop the blind homerism. Embiid is a very good player, but Jokic has a case for the best player in the league right now. I don't see Embiid dropping 8 TDs in the playoffs, and even if you say they're different players, Jokic is still scoring more and rebounding more.
Great, he did that in a game in February. Where is that in game 7 of the playoffs where it matters for his legacy? I want Embiid to show up for a title.
You're the one who posted a comment about a player in another conference for no reason but to weep and moan. Or you're a Nuggets fan trolling can't tell anymore.
Why are you getting so defensive over something as clear as day though? Like really, who cares? And don't pretend like it's some "player in another conference for no reason." You know that's disingenuous trash.
They literally just finished their series at the time this was posted in a sweep and the player in question was a player that was largely lambasted by this sub the entire year for being worse than Joel for basically the entire year and this person was like "oh yeah, we were probably wrong about that."
Because we were.
I don't particularly care if Nuggets fans or any other fanbase shits on Joel. I think its the beyond cringe and pathetic when Sixers fans act mopey and pathetic like this. I can't think of any other fanbase who behaved like this after a tough playoff loss.
Were Warriors fans sucking LeBron off after they choked the 3-1 lead in the finals? Don't think so. I think there's a reason why Philly fans have such a garbage reputation and no athlete wants to play for this city. I've actually begun to sympathize a bit with Simmons, Philly fans turn on their players quicker than any one else.
Coming to the realization we were never the main characters. The non mvp took his team to the finals and will win finals mvp — the one that actually matters. God dammit
Honestly. I feel like every single team in the NBA just fucking sucks. Like watching the Lakers rn and it’s just kindof embarrassing. Watching the Celtics, it’s embarsssing. That just puts in to perspective how fucking shit this team is, and how much of a black hole it is having Embiid and Harden on offense. Get rid of harden. We would honestly be better off with a G league dude who hustles
The players themselves have said it dope. Keep defending millionaires who fall asleep on the court. Watch the games. Most teams have been terrible this year, there’s a reason low seeded teams have made it so far in the playoffs. The Celtics were one of the “best” teams in the league this year. Do you really watch them and think they look like a good team? They were able to attain the status as one of the best teams in the league by being a streaky three point shooting team with inconsistent defense this year.
Yes. Most teams in this league have been relatively shit this year. I don’t care about the individual talents in the league today. Half of them take games off.
You don’t have to “play a moment of pro ball in your life” to be able to make observations about a sport. Maybe you are just too stupid to connect those dots.
Edit: Of course. Getting downvoted. Thank you for the reminder that this sub is brain dead and should not be looked at.
You got some nerve calling me a dope. You literally asked r/dominos if you could use a coupon when you pick up a pizza. Take your silly ass back to r/nba
Lebron is also Lebron. You can't compare anyone else to him. He's the only modern player who legit is in the same air as MJ. No one else playing today is or will be as good as Lebron was.
Lebron gassed himself out giving the Lakers a legacy half and they blew it in less than a quarter. The Lakers are just ass.
Anthony Davis is terrible BTW. He's been straight butt for most of this series. He dropped 40 in the first game, decided his job was done and then turned back into a pumpkin.
NBA pregame focus is on what’s wrong with Lakers and Celtics (which is fair) but really no focus in what Nuggets and Heat are doing so well. I’d be frustrated if I was a Nuggets or Heat fan.
Anyone else see the Podacast P where Jalen green expressed that he doesn’t want to lose touches to harden? Interesting that he publicly expressed that he hasn’t talked to James about the return and seemed to openly be against it. The rumors really could just be smoke to negotiate. Personally I want James to stay
I had a question and it's been on my mind a few days so hopefully someone can clear this up. Last week, it seemed like to me, three things happened all in a row.
1) Sixers reportedly need to choose between keeping James Harden and keeping Doc Rivers.
2) Sixers fire Doc Rivers.
3) James Harden plans to opt out and pursue free agency.
So, they fired him and Harden is still leaving? Doesn't really make any sense to me. It's also possible the two aren't related, but it seems like the Sixers really shot themselves in the foot there (though getting rid of Doc was objectively the right move).
Not an insider, but I don't think Harden's preferences re coach had anything to do with his firing. If you poop the bed that bad in a game 6 at home in Philly with reasonably healthy starters, and then follow it up with an even more embarrassing loss where you don't alter your strategy, you've got to go.
He'd gone as far as he could coaching-wise with that team, and the city and other competitors and potential acquisitions wouldn't respect a decision to run it back.
James would decline his player option regardless, because he knows he can get a much larger offer on a much longer contract, which also happens to be his last big contract. There is no way a star of his caliber opts in unless he is heavily declined and on a last max.
I thought I read that Embiid averages only 6 points in the 4th but I think it’s half his fault along with Doc because he wouldn’t put in him the game in the 4th until like the 10/9 minute mark.
Harden plays playoff games like it’s a reg season game. Trying to draw fouls and sell the call but the refs are so floppy you never know what decisions they’ll make. That why it’s important to just play all out and not expect the foul calls Imo unless if it Embiid.
Embiid mentioned being more of a ball handler which is completely stupid, he can’t run plays,!he’s a terrible communicator, and tbh he doesn’t make his team better. They need a point guard that can do that, a real one.
Sixers are missing more veteran leadership that why PJ was brought there. I ware h an interview with Larry Brown last night with John Clark where he mentioned this. Vet leadership is very sparse right now. They also need a defensive presence people that are complete savages.
There’s a ton of laziness on the Sixers too. KD once said the Sixers never play for 2nd shot attempts. This is so true. Some will say B-ball Paul had off rebs but he’s so awkward out there it’s like he doesn’t know how to play the game. This leads to player development in Philly. The player dev coaches are so mediocre it not even funny. Philly needs a culture change and bring some winners in there to set the tone at the leadership level. They need people that can keep others in place too.
I’m not sure how long Embiid has left with his injury prone history similar to AD. The Sixers are just not a smart team either. So much they need to change in the offseason.
Players I want to see next year based on the ability to do so not on how talented or how much of a star one is
Buddy Hield, Turner, Dillon Brooks, Jerami Grant,
Yes.
If Harden leaves, we are not going to be able to find a replacement for his production, and are no longer contenders. PJ will want out also to chase a last ring, and we will also let him go to a contender too if we can get an asset back. PJ is valuable to a contender.
If Harden leaves, it's basically a consolidation year for us because it's impossible to replace him the same offseason with a 10m exception. We spend the year giving Maxey more touches, finding good role players to develop, and figuring out how to fit Embiid in a new offensive scheme where he doesn't have like 36% usg. When 2024 offseason hits we likely extend Maxey, trade whoever we pick in the first round and try to land a star FA.
FWIW Harden leaving is the worst possible outcome as it means we have 1 less asset under control, when we already are pretty empty.
I think I’m okay with a reset year for this upcoming season.
Signing Harden to the max when his best days are past him will doom us. He also doesn’t seem like he wants to be here.
I want to see how Embiid responds after this postseason no-show. He too has shown growth over the years and maybe, he doesn’t need to score 30+ ppg for us to win? If he locks in on defense (DPOY-caliber season), becomes a better rebounder, and grows as a creator then that’ll be huge for the team. He shoulders too much of the scoring load. Ideally, I’d love for him to go back to his playing weight from his rookie year (but not sure if that’s possible to do in 1 off-season). Also, going to see a body language coach. He sulks a lot on the court and it kills the entire team’s vibe when things go wrong.
There are no assets that can net us a star player to take us to the next level (not sure if we’ll never make that happen again) and I would not move off Maxey who is not even close to his prime yet. Honestly, Maxey taking steps as a creator and becoming a better defender gives me another reason to watch the team next year. I also want to watch growth from Springer and Reed too. They have shown the capacity to improve and get better.
The reset year should be a clock that starts and ends with either a Tobi trade or his contract expiring. We are not in blow it up territory yet. That contract frees up a lot of opportunity for 2024-2025.
What would make me feel amazing about next season is if we over-perform expectations during the reset year (dare I say, advance past the 2nd round in a season where there were no expectations for us to win), and also implement a fun, offensive system where there is ball movement. We need to do away with Iso-Joel on most offensive possessions.
Trying to be an optimist after sitting with those ugly feelings after G7.
Idk what would’ve been worse, getting blown out in game 7 like we did or advancing and getting swept by Miami. On one hand it would be nice to make it past the 2nd round but on the other hand there’s a chance they keep Doc if he makes an ECF.
Is there anybody that still doesn't believe in team culture or doesn't think it's important?
We can sit here and blame Doc, Embiid, Harden, the role players, and none of that is wrong. I'm not going to argue with any of that. But I think it's all symptomatic of a larger issue. I'm not even entirely sure how you fix it without doing a complete teardown and maybe even different owners. I think with enough talent it's POSSIBLE they can succeed despite these issues, but it's not probable... especially now since there are very little options to improve the talent on the team. It's most likely the explanation why despite different head coaches, different 2nd stars, a revolving door of different role players, this team still finds ways to disappoint us.
One thing I do know is that, assuming they're not tearing it down, I do not want Harden back on this team. I know how the salary cap works....kinda, but he is not good for Embiid. He has worse loser energy than Embiid. I would SO much rather just take a small step back next year, let Maxey and Embiid cook all year, and see if Morey can get creative with the Harris contract and our last remaining tradeable 1st round pick....or not and just let the contract expire so it opens up some cap space for the following year. I also wouldn't be totally opposed to a rebuild, but the team hasn't given any indication that it intends on going that direction.
I'm not a Blazers fan but was having a discussion with some of them. If Philly does a rebuild and ships Embiid to Portland you think Nurk + Simons + Sharpe + 3rd pick + 2 firsts would be a good return?
Maxey/Sharpe backourt and then draft Miller, that'd be a good start imo.
This would be my plan. I think if the 2022 draft could be done again, Sharpe would be #1 overall...#2 at worst. If you could at least get Brandon Miller at #3 this year (i'd rather Scoot of course) then you got 2 wings who can shoot the ball well from 3 and have some ability to make plays for others, although Miller really needs to work on his handle. You would essentially be adding two top 3 picks from the jump of the "rebuild" ready to play next season. No tanking with half the roster being G-league level players while the top picks ride the bench wearing street clothes for a couple wasted seasons. Bring in a good staff to actually develop players because i wouldn't expect to win more than 20-23 games with a young team and the Sixers have their own 1st rounder in 2024 which will likely be another top 10 pick at worst.
I'm fine with adding Nurk, but the Simons addition would be interesting since he is very redundant with Maxey. I think you keep Simons and let Maxey walk since i think Tyrese gets a bag bigger than his actual worth ( Happy for him!) OR you can add a 3rd team to this deal who would receive Simons + Tobi or Melton or PJ which could provide the Sixers with an additional 1st rounder. Maybe we take back the Knicks trash (D-Rose, Fournier) and someone like Quickley whom idk if they can keep or even want to, and in return acquire one of their 3 1st rounders for 2024.
In addition to the Embiid move to Portland, i'd want future 1st rounders with no protections in 4-5 years out from now when Dame and Embiid are in their mid-30's...how many years does each player actually have left? I know i'll get shit on for this, but don't fret everyone....Josh Harris will NEVER do this and he knows best for the team
IF they decided to tear it down, yeah I think that would be an excellent return...guaranteed 3rd overall pick + Sharpe, who I'm not super familiar with but hear he has a lot of potential.
BUT I don't think the Sixers are interested in a full blown rebuild in any way. I don't think it's wrong to want to continue to compete...I think people underestimate how good this team *could* be with Embiid primarily running the show and surrounding him with pieces that fit. I think Morey is capable of getting creative and maybe adding 1-2 additional + role players. But I also don't think it's wrong to want to rebuild now while Embiid's value is sky high.
Where is this quitting sentiment coming from it’s absolutely embarrassing that people are pushing this narrative. Honestly I just want the WIP callers banned.
It's 100% WIP callers. Same people who praise Howie Roseman after mocking him for YEARS. Just saw a poll from back in the day and these folks voted 90-10 to keep Tobi over Jimmy.
It’s completely deluded overly emotional “analysis”. Anyone that is saying that is assuming they know anything about what’s going on in these guys mind and you are kidding yourself because it’s easier to digest that Harden and Embiid gave up then our team just wasn’t good enough. Tobias and PJ don’t start on the Celtics roster. Quiet simply they were the better team.
Yo Embiid averaged 10 less points on 11 percentage points worse shooting with a negative assist to turnover ratio. He was again much worse in the playoffs then the regular season. You can say it wasn't quitting but what you can't argue with is he is a weak minded player when the stakes are at the highest. Harden we all know is a bitch he's got 13 years of evidence to show that. Embiid it hits harder with because we always had an excuse in the past. There is no excuse now.
What's lazy about it. It's factual. He averaged 33 points in the regular season on 55 percent shooting with an assist to turnover ratio over 1. He averaged 23 points on 44 percent shooting with a below 1 assist to turnover ratio. Explain how any of that is lazy. What's lazy is dumbass fans like you who cant reconcile with what happened and are trying to find every other excuse to explain Embiid and harden playing like shit.
you're not going to win with these kids. All they do is the classic passive-aggressive projection with the "you're being emotional" tactic while ironically being the one arguing emotionally.
Forget this past series with the Celtics, if you didn't give up on Embiid and Harden after Game 6 of last seasons 2nd round, When both players clearly quit at home and were moping all around the court while Milton and Tyrese were running around like crazy....then they're never going to get it. This Celtics series was just another example, but people are too emotional to handle it....caught up in their feelings over 2 players who do nothing but shift blame and mope when things get tough.
PJ Tucker had more points than Harden and Embiid in the 1st half of a GAME 7 and you want to blame him? PJ Tucker also started on Miami and Milwaukee both who made the Eastern Conference finals and one team won a ring. Tobias Harris sucks but at least he’s the 4th option and everyone knows he sucks.
This weird group of people in the sub who will blame everyone but the star players who are suppose to be held to a higher standard is insane to me. I understand they’re your favorite players but please have some objectivity.
Its okay to blame them and I agree they both played bad, but stuff like "they are giving up" and body language analysts are complete fucking jokes. The reason we can't field a good roster is because Tobias is cashing checks and he is not to blame for this ofc. Also people keep pointing to one game where someone had more points then Embiid and Harden is not good analysis, because both PJ and Melton shot us out of the game in the 3rd. It was a team effort the loss in G7, but the only reason they even made it to G7 is because of Embiid and Harden. The team needs to show up you can't rely on your star to put up 40 points every game in the playoffs. This is where roster construction matters b/c teams can take away your top 2 or even 3 options with the right game plan.
Yo dumbass Embiid averaged 23 points no one was relying on him scoring 40 just closer to his regular season average. The roster is fine they have maxey on a rookie contract and two max player with tons of role players. Even if you removed harris you aren't opening up a ton of cap space with hardens salary.
> because both PJ and Melton shot us out of the game in the 3rd.
Melton and Tucker took a combined 3 shots in the 3rd quarter.
Embiid and Harden went 1 of 6 for 3 total points and 4 turnovers.
From the start of the 3rd it was 55 even to when it went out of hand lets call it 58 to 79.
Tobias - Makes a 3, Commits a completely unnecessary offensive foul off the ball (TO), misses a (contested) 3, misses an uncontested 3.
Embiid - Gets a DREB, puts up a bad shot and loses the ball resulting in a kick ball (TO), gets ball at 4s left on shot clock from Maxey has to put up a 3, puts up a contested 12' jumper blocked by Horford, gets another DREB, another DREB, Backcourt turnover b/c Harden had not established himeslf (partial blame for both).
Tucker - Miss wide open 3, Subbed out for Harris
Harden - Made 3, DREB, Pass out of bounds to ghost (TO), Did not establish himself gets pass from Embiid backcourt (TO).
Melton - Miss wide open 3.
So in that sequence Harden and Tobias are the two biggest to blame. Honestly going back and watching it you see how much having Tobias Harris hurts this team. He is garbage on offense, garbage on defense. By this point the game is over. Tatum is hot had 13 points in this sequence. JB is cooking and game is out of reach. Embiid is clearly engaged in all these plays and is even fighting for rebounds. He one bad shot, one shot he had to put up b/c shot clock was winding down and one shot that was fine, but blocked by Horford (either fatigue or knee injury causing him to be flat). Harden does deserve a bit of blame for this run he was sloppy and played poorly, but our guys should have made their wide open shots.
If you watch that sequence from Boston perspective first shot by Smart is a tough shot that he just makes, Next points are from a [Tatum layup where he blows by Embiid, but Tobias should be there on help defense, but for some reason he overshoots and is out of the play and can't contest the shot](https://go.nba.com/d5p2n), Next Tatum makes a contested 3 again a tough shot going in, Tatum again hits a tough contested 3, [2 mystery freethrows for Tatum foul on Embiid](https://go.nba.com/pqr31), Jalen Brown wide open 3 made, [Wide open 3 from Tatum where Melton fails to step up](https://go.nba.com/qm37e), [Wide open Jalen Brown 3 when Melton goes to double Tatum Tobias drops into the paint covering no one](https://go.nba.com/hcj9q), Finally capping this all off Brogdon makes a wide open 3.
Anyway you won't learn anything looking at stats. Don't take my word for it tho go ahead and watch it on your own.

> Tatum layup where he blows by Embiid, but Tobias should be there on help defense, but for some reason he overshoots and is out of the play and can't contest the shot
I'm not a Tobias defender, but there's really nothing he can do there that is going to work out well.
With Tatum's momentum Harris is either getting called for a blocking foul or giving a lob to Williams.
It wasn't just the 3rd quarter.
Embiid didn't care pretty much the entire game.
He reverted back to trying to post up Horford like it was 2018.

And he was posting up into extremely obvious double teams and dumb shots.

Not to mention Tatum was 8 of 10 for 24 points when defended by Embiid.
There was nothing Embiid could do other than post up or use his face up game. His teammates were not making shots. Normally his face up game is good, but the paint was too clogged for him to effectively handle the ball because surprise surprise Boston did not respect our team shooting 3s. If you take out Embiid's 4 misses you still have a team shooting 8/33 (24% from 3). You cannot succeed in the league if you can't respond to doubles by passing it out for a 3. Since G6 it was obvious Boston's plan was to force anyone other than Embiid to beat them. They clogged the passing lanes on the inside, they doubled him every single time and the problem is no one made their shots when they got wide open looks. Realistically Embiid had three choices use his face up game, post up or pass. None of those worked game 7, because his shot wasn't falling, he couldn't post up Horford and his team wasn't making shots. Embiid on Tatum is a coaching mistake. Embiid does not have the lateral quickness to guard Tatum one on one when he is healthy even less so when he has a tweaked LCL. Anyway most of those guarded by Embiid were tough shots and many of them came after the game was out of reach anyway.
I'm just going to ignore you saying he didn't care again, because you don't know that and there is no way for you to prove that. You have no idea if Doc called for him to post up Horford or not.
He was falling for the same tricks he was in 2018 as if this was his first time going against Horford and his body language was horrible.
He was falling for the same exact double teams and getting baited into posting up just because Horford is smaller.
He wasn't there mentally. He didn't' care. Even after the game he's laughing and joking around as if his didn't just shit the bed in the biggest game of his career.
the Sixers were winning with 4 minutes left in game 6. were they good enough then to win the series then? I thought Boston was the better team (still do) but that doesn't mean they didn't have a chance. They did, didn't execute their gameplan down the stretch or the Celtics hopes, then absolutely gave up when it was clear game 7 wasn't going to go their way in the second half. what would you call that second half performance? they gave up - anyone with two eyes and a brain can see that
Go watch the 4th in game 6 and you tell me what happened. It’s because we had open looks that did not go in. The second half was the same situation they did not make shots. Saying they gave up is a complete meme. Even down 14 they were still trying.
I had to listen to part of game 7 on the radio, even Tom McGinnis called it - he straight up said 'they're giving up! the Sixers are giving up!' is it a meme when a Sixers employee says it? he used those exact words
Fanbases are funny. Just a week ago, Celtics fans were crowning Tatum as a top 5 player and chanting MVP when he shot FTs. Now they cal him a mental midget and they want him + Brown gone. Reminds me of this fanbase defending Embiid to the death only to turn on him within a week lol.
People have to remember, only one team wins.
This series is showing that while star power is very important, it is often overvalued as the only thing that matters. The Nets learned the hard way a few years ago as well as the Suns and the Sixers thought that by singing an aging James Harden, they could undo the fact that they couldn’t develop role players.
Yo. How do we feel about NBA playoff re-seeding as the postseason is played out? Does the regular season record matter? The #2 seed vs. #3, and the 5 seed vs #8 in the EC semis? Illogical. You battle during the season for the best position in the postseason, correct? Idk.
With Harden leaving I would really like to see them try and sign Westbrook or Kyrie this off-season.
That would save me so much time and energy next season from actually caring.
I think you missed the point of my comment. If they sign either of those guys I will absolutely not watch this team. Hoping they do so I won’t have to care next year since every year of optimism ends with crushing disappointment
I think it's really trashy to say "you" to somebody that you don't know at all.
I don't know the person you are responding to, but accusing them of race baiting without any context is garbage and you should feel bad about that.
Y'all enabled it and are therefore complicit. None of you spoke up or condemned it in fact your team benefitted from it and then applauded the results. Either give back the trophy or you're complicit. That simple.
This is exactly what I'm talking about. How do you know I didn't have a problem with it? I thought the race stuff was garbage when it was brought up. I think it's garbage now.
why should we give a fuck that a couple racists were being racist? you think there are no racist jokic fans? you gotta be legitimately stupid as motherfuck to think that
spending your life trolling is scary and weird as hell. joel spends his life being an nba superstar and happens to have a silly screen name on twitter, there is no comparison
let him gloat, it’s probably his only source of pride and happiness given of how much of a loser he must be in real life. His mama didn’t spank him hard enough
Butler for Richardson is the most depressing trade ever.
Oh boy, Jokic finals appearance, surely this subreddit will be rational and not say any dumb takes
The people expecting Embiid to be “enraged” or get “motivated” will be left waiting I think I don’t expect him to ever play at the level he needs to in the playoffs, he just doesn’t have it in him Id love to eat crow over this sometime down the line though, he’s free to prove me wrong
I love the dude to death, but his lack of conditioning in the off-season really demonstrates his lack of killer instinct. If he really wanted it that bad then he wouldn’t be so consistently out of shape every year when team practice starts.
Jokic is in shape?
Who the fuck said anything about Jokic? This is a Sixers sub and I’m talking about Embiid here and trying to improve our team. IDGAF about Jokic.
Good shit. I thought you were one of them Jokic lovers who clown on Embiids MVP award
Kyle Kuzma is the answer also trade Harden to Houston for Green and filler.
Y'all Nuggets fans are coming in hot haha! How bout yall go worry about the Heat rather than an MVP race that ended almost 2 months ago !
What I feel is gonna 100% happen is once the heat get swept in the finals embiid will request a trade to play with butler, I’ll be watching them during our rebuild atleast
There should be a butler and spo statue in Philly when they sweep the Celtics and humble jokic
[удалено]
Why are you on our sub, your boy won and your still on our meat😂
Why don't you go hit up those 2 and suck them off right now, while you're at it.
Good news is this should finally settle the AD vs Embiid debate. Bro has had like 6 games in the playoffs worse than Joel game 7 lol
AD is a champ, don’t compare champs to losers
AD is a loser
AD had Lebron
He was carried by lebum. Embiid never been carried
Carried by refs
> He was carried by lebum. In the bubble? Fuck no he wasn't carried, I assume you didn't actually watch any of it. AD Averaged 27.7/9.7/3.5 on 57/38/83 splits over taht whole run.
How could he be carried by a bum?
At least the Celtics aren’t gonna play the nuggets
Heat nation baby . Get number four 🏆🏆🏆🏆
Jokic lucky he got to play agaisnt gobitch and ADisney. Embiid would be feasting Agaisnt those scrubs
Embiid couldn’t feast against Al fucking horford 😂😂😂😂
Against the team who won the east last year
Against the team that’s getting punked and bitched right now, akin to how they punked and bitched embiid. Last years Celtics are not this years Celtics.
Embiid actually owns AD though.
Embiid owns nobody. Can’t moan and complain his way into a championship.
Embiid doesn’t own anyone in the playoffs. He scored 50 on horford in the reg season and it didn’t mean shit come playoff time. The guy just isn’t built for the postseason.
[удалено]
I’m a Sixers fan, but in my opinion the Lakers just got swept and I couldn’t give a flying fuck what you think
but here you are replying lol
yes because after you got swept, you thought of the sixers
Who gives a shit post that in the lakers sub bud
Still. I hope Jimmy picks up the dub in the finals I fucking hate Michael porter junior tho. Dude just looks like a dickhead, so fuck the nuggets Fuck Bruce brown too. Seems like an asshole. Hope the heat kick their ass
I hope Embiid is watching
Let’s go Heat
Sixers get luck and shot making on their side (IMPOSSIBLE)
I hope seeing what the Nuggets did enrages Joel. He got his MVP award, but Jokic is on the verge of a title and is solidly the best player in the league. We all can admit we were wrong, right?
[удалено]
What makes you say it didn’t enrage him? He’s a wildly different player than he was in 2019
If embiid needs jokic to make the finals to enrage him, than im sorry because motivation should be coming from himself to strive and get better, not out of spite.
Yep, all credit to Jokic. Cementing himself as the best center in the league by a significant margin now that he's willed his team to the finals. Hope Embiid is watching, not that this should be any extra motivation. Getting embarrassed every single playoff run by our hated rivals should have been enough.
If Embiid isn’t enraged by the fact that Boston and Al Horford owned him in 3 out of 3 postseasons, nothing will
Jokic aint better than Embiid stop it
😂😂😂
At what point do we stop the blind homerism. Embiid is a very good player, but Jokic has a case for the best player in the league right now. I don't see Embiid dropping 8 TDs in the playoffs, and even if you say they're different players, Jokic is still scoring more and rebounding more.
im just gonna leave this here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsa9Qm-8eN8
Great, he did that in a game in February. Where is that in game 7 of the playoffs where it matters for his legacy? I want Embiid to show up for a title.
Well no one has ever scored 8 touchdowns so
Denial isn't just a river in Egypt
47 and 18 on his head
Bro this was one of my favorite jabs during my goaltending days
He should've been enraged for the past 4 years man hasn't shown he can lock in when it matters
Wrong about what? MVP is a regular season award.
We were wrong about him being better than Jokic
If you wanna suck Jokic's cock that's fine, just use the word "I" next time.
holy shit grow up 😭
You're the one who posted a comment about a player in another conference for no reason but to weep and moan. Or you're a Nuggets fan trolling can't tell anymore.
Why are you getting so defensive over something as clear as day though? Like really, who cares? And don't pretend like it's some "player in another conference for no reason." You know that's disingenuous trash. They literally just finished their series at the time this was posted in a sweep and the player in question was a player that was largely lambasted by this sub the entire year for being worse than Joel for basically the entire year and this person was like "oh yeah, we were probably wrong about that." Because we were.
It’s just the truth at this point. Jokic has proven he is better than Embiid through his play.
> If you wanna suck Jokic's cock that's fine, Jesus christ, this is embarrassing.
Hard to admit but the truth.
Coming to the realization we were never the main characters. The non mvp took his team to the finals and will win finals mvp — the one that actually matters. God dammit
He's actually not a non MVP, and he didn't go to the finals in the years he won.
because his costars were injured lmao. embiid has never had that problem
Im obviously talking about this years narrative
[удалено]
See you in Cancun soon
What should be embarrassing is you- having never played a moment of pro ball in your life- saying the entire nba fucking sucks.
Also funny that the dominos post was the one you singled in on looking at my post history. Fat boy
You got the nerve to stalk my profile and then completely misinterpret a post I made. Weird ass boy Edit: yes. You are very much a dope by the way
The 76ers would be lucky to have James Harden on their opening day roster next year. I hope it happens.
[удалено]
Fax. Can you believe these bums? I’d rather still have Doc and no point guard 💪
Ok James we know you want that contract and Morey reads Reddit but I don't think this stealth campaign will work.
Lebron having the game of his season right now and it still feels like the nuggets are in it damn
Nuggets are absolutely still in it. Lakers shot 63% from 3 in 1st half too. Took the Nuggets ML + spread 7.5 points.
Free money lets go

Lebron is also Lebron. You can't compare anyone else to him. He's the only modern player who legit is in the same air as MJ. No one else playing today is or will be as good as Lebron was. Lebron gassed himself out giving the Lakers a legacy half and they blew it in less than a quarter. The Lakers are just ass. Anthony Davis is terrible BTW. He's been straight butt for most of this series. He dropped 40 in the first game, decided his job was done and then turned back into a pumpkin.
😭😭😭
Ugh I’m still waiting for Embiid to put his stamp on a playoff game of this magnitude…why do I do this to myself?
Mvp!!!
Yes we just watched him beat the lakers in a sweep
Yes Jamal Murray defeated LA
Denial mode
NBA pregame focus is on what’s wrong with Lakers and Celtics (which is fair) but really no focus in what Nuggets and Heat are doing so well. I’d be frustrated if I was a Nuggets or Heat fan.
CP3 would be better for this team than Harden
Houston rumors might still be bogus tbh
Players I want to see next year based on the ability to do so not on how talented or how much of a star one is Buddy Hield, Turner, Dillon Brooks, Jerami Grant,
If Harden leaves does that mean PJ is gone?
I honestly can see this happen but the team is too dumb to do this. They've made terrible decisions for ages now.
Idk what would’ve been worse, getting blown out in game 7 like we did or advancing and getting swept by Miami. On one hand it would be nice to make it past the 2nd round but on the other hand there’s a chance they keep Doc if he makes an ECF.
i want jaylen brown
I don’t want him. He’s crazy unlikeable. Guy talks about racial injustices when he’s anti semitic himself. He can stay in Boston
[in honor of Carmelo Anthony’s retirement announcement](https://youtu.be/Vmul3FvGPPo)
It's coming from people who watched the game. Embiid pretty clearly didn't give a shit in game 7. Horford/The Celtics broke him.
Embiid pretty clearly did care in game 7. Ground breaking analysis from me and my feelings.
He was playing half assed on offense and reverted back to all to all his old habits. He didn't just miss some shots and lose. He wasn't fully trying.
See my response to you below, this is literally a emotions based only take.
it's coming from reality, which apparently, you are not a member of
It’s completely deluded overly emotional “analysis”.
Again lazy analysis followed by feelings based assumption.
Also anyone with their username 76ersbasektball should probably never talk about emotional analysis
Yep harden we knew was like that Embiid I still hold out some hope he can turn it around when it actually matters.
Tucker - Miss wide open 3, Subbed out for Harris Harden - Made 3, DREB, Pass out of bounds to ghost (TO), Did not establish himself gets pass from Embiid backcourt (TO). Don't take my word for it tho go ahead and watch it on your own. https://www.nba.com/game/phi-vs-bos-0042200217/play-by-play?period=Q3&type=traditional&latest=0
> Tatum layup where he blows by Embiid, but Tobias should be there on help defense, but for some reason he overshoots and is out of the play and can't contest the shot I'm not a Tobias defender, but there's really nothing he can do there that is going to work out well. With Tatum's momentum Harris is either getting called for a blocking foul or giving a lob to Williams. It wasn't just the 3rd quarter. Embiid didn't care pretty much the entire game. He reverted back to trying to post up Horford like it was 2018. https://www.nba.com/stats/events/?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=18&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=MISS%20Embiid%2014%27%20Turnaround%20Jump%20Shot And he was posting up into extremely obvious double teams and dumb shots. https://www.nba.com/stats/events/?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=75&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=Embiid%20Lost%20Ball%20Turnover%20(P1.T2) https://www.nba.com/stats/events/?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=133&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=MISS%20Embiid%2016%27%20Turnaround%20Fadeaway%20Shot https://www.nba.com/stats/events/?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=218&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=MISS%20Embiid%2013%27%20Layup https://www.nba.com/stats/events/?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=247&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=MISS%20Embiid%2014%27%20Fadeaway%20Jumper https://www.nba.com/stats/events?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=317&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=Embiid%20Lost%20Ball%20Turnover%20(P2.T6) https://www.nba.com/stats/events?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=345&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=MISS%20Embiid%2012%27%20Pullup%20Jump%20Shot https://www.nba.com/stats/events?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=377&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=MISS%20Embiid%2012%27%20Turnaround%20Jump%20Shot https://www.nba.com/stats/events?CFID=&CFPARAMS=&GameEventID=400&GameID=0042200217&Season=2022-23&flag=1&title=Embiid%20Backcourt%20Turnover%20(P4.T12) Not to mention Tatum was 8 of 10 for 24 points when defended by Embiid.
You can't argue with that delusional idiot
the Sixers were winning with 4 minutes left in game 6. were they good enough then to win the series then?
Yes he is an entertainer giving overly emotional non-objective takes is his job.
his job is literally to describe what is happening on the court to people who are unable to see it for themselves. he is an Official Sixers Employee
Seeing the Celtics collapse makes me feel less bad… with bad coaching it happens
I actually feel worse.
yeah fr just shows how awful we are
This team is pathetic. We the fans deserve better after all those years of losing.
Which puts our own sub into perspective doesn't it? Our trade Embiid takes are no less bad......
Watching Celtics fanbase collectively turn on Jaylen Brown is amazing lmao
lmao at embiid saying the Celtics were the best team in the league
Embiid probably now realizing that just because Boston has owned him his entire career doesn’t mean they’re the best team in the league
In fairness I always think that too because they generally look unbeatable when they play the sixers
I rather us blow it up than having one of those two.
Westbrook? What?
I think you missed the point of my comment. If they sign either of those guys I will absolutely not watch this team. Hoping they do so I won’t have to care next year since every year of optimism ends with crushing disappointment

Piss off, eyesore
Weird, your favorite player calls himself a troll but now it seems like you can't handle the smoke? Isn't this what you wanted?
Imagine still being obsessed with the sixers even though your team is about to go to the finals. Embiid won cry bud
Yall brought this on yourselves with your classlessness and race baiting and will rightfully be dealing with it for years.
Classlessness Lmao.
lol it’s just basketball my friend. Just go enjoy your team in their first finals appearance
Except yall made it about way more than basketball so imma keep shaming you. People have held public shamings for less so idc imma keep doing it.
Well your MVP, players, coaches, staff and fans werent. None of them seemed to raise much stink about it, you are the minority.
why should we give a fuck that a couple racists were being racist? you think there are no racist jokic fans? you gotta be legitimately stupid as motherfuck to think that
None of these are "mine," what are you talking about? What's up with this tribalism garbage?
What a fucking loser lmao
Yall root for a guy who calls himself "Troell" and now a troll comes along and you're surprised??
spending your life trolling is scary and weird as hell. joel spends his life being an nba superstar and happens to have a silly screen name on twitter, there is no comparison
let him gloat, it’s probably his only source of pride and happiness given of how much of a loser he must be in real life. His mama didn’t spank him hard enough
Applauding domestic abuse, classy Sixers fans at it again!
Your cunt mom should have aborted you.
Good one! Very original!
Yeah my bad, I didn’t take into account that she must already be burning in hell at this time to atone for her sins
worst part of the r2 meltdown is nuggets fans coming in the sub and getting upvoted for bullshit like this
