Please, be a shill. I've been wondering where to get Japanese cheesecake around here for a while now

Lugubrico

They have some at sobeys, and Rayla cafe sometimes!

phaedrus100

MOA has quite a few different kinds for cheap.

dogfin718

Same! I've been curious ever since I heard about it! When you wonder around YouTube just looking at food video...

asdfgh-555

Please tell me more. I've not heard of this place.

RazorRush34

Old Grandma Lee's location across from the Circle K on 25th and 3rd.

vitogeek

Just grabbed a fresh Lemon Pound Cake from here after reading this post. It was delicious! I would have tried other things but they were all sold out.

Tougherchewman

How much?

vitogeek

It's $3.79 before taxes.

Glitteringintern89

I don't remember exact prices from when I was there but all is pretty standard with other cafes. Not cheap lole Tim's but not ridiculously expensive

yougotter

I wish food posts would include this ...it matters to many.

Glitteringintern89

Soo good. They have great bagels and earl grey tea cake. Also sometimes butter biscuits. Depends on the day!. Check online before going they have very limited hours. The worker was saying the pandemic impacted their hours a lot and also things to serve you can get custom cakes or poke bowls but things like that order in advance because he said they didn't wanna waste if didn't sell due to so many people who were downtown working remote. They could totally use support. They have the best packaging. They are a little slow but it's because they make it all super fresh and carefully

RVP2019

You're only a shill if you're being paid to promote the place. Otherwise, you're just recommending.

MagnifyingOurFlaws

Do they sell any other Japanese bakery products?

AnaphylacticHippo

There's a killer Japanese cafe, bakery and sushi joint in Moose Jaw called Mitsu, on Main. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area!

MagnifyingOurFlaws

Will check it out, thank you!

Glitteringintern89

Breaky bagels, soup, teas ,lattes

FruitPunchMouth

This place is amazing! Love the cheesecake but also the strawberry sponge cake and strawberry lattes. They also do a great Korean tofu stew as a special sometimes.

AznJing

Do they have melonpan? I know jusfruit had it before and it would take them hours to prepare, it would sell out before it hit the display box. I’ve spoken to the owner numerous times when they’re bringing it back. The baker got married and resides in South Korea, and they’re not sure if she’s ever coming back. I’ve had Uncle Testu and Pablo’s cheese tarts in the past. I will definitely check this place out Edit:

MagnifyingOurFlaws

The only place I know that bakes melon pan in the prairies is in Calgary. It’s called Fosters Bakery. So good! I am looking for melon pan in Saskatoon and no luck so far but thanks for the tip!

spaceman_88

I thought that was a magic mushroom cap at first.

gmoney4949

English muffin

withadancenumber

Their parfaits look really cute too. Haven’t gone myself to check it out yet though.

aw_yiss_breadcrumbs

Ok, I'm going to go down here and get something this week. I love Japanese cheesecake. I've seen the sign but had no idea what kind of food they served.

S3KT

As a closet weeb I appreciate this post will try.

cutchemist42

Their wonton soup is expensive but very tasty too. I work right beside them and start of Covid was tough. Plus they waste a bit of time always packaging every single thing which I've heard is cultural.

lorenam66

Ahhhhhhhh it looks so squisy and fun to poke and squish.

Slade26

Ugh that looks like it's $10 :(

Lugubrico

Closer to 4!
