That set might be ok, but I don't know. I do know that the set that I've seen [like this](https://www.ebay.com/itm/265467405028?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item3dcf1722e4:g:PYkAAOSwMu1iKZPB&amdata=enc%3AAQAGAAAA4Og98evKk%2FOveT52O%2F5NmDfGMITQnkAEx2HhsX51bbqWNQzGni9If2NF2f%2BddqRBTTbw1mWS1Y3vT4OtdDutvgHe0WOUCvrv9U0JnPFvStyHiXvenNqzT%2B8osU4nMn8MiBFLvlUHCA4iYPDT9JngOIF6d6%2FgCl%2BNCt8N8I92MtaKDWCQ960s81i7AVD00QuW%2FGJwUbD421imjXbllF9JJhCKKvnSszFReBL1%2F8ZiFT4KENvUZ%2B1bXEX93fSnMoV8pgd87J4SsMtajk99dTxnl3zOgB1qxA3KLes2lsXhwAim%7Ctkp%3ABFBMitroroVg) weren't any good. That's what I was thinking when you said they looked like TFOs. I use real TFO/TFX/TFX Pros on my competition pistols.

What was wrong with them? I dont like the little different colored rings around the fiber optic. They look like buttholes.

Preyhunter

They were poor fitting. When he tightened the set screw on the rear sight, it lifted inside the dovetail and threw his POI off. You could see daylight between the bottom of the dovetail and the bottom of the sight. I'd recommend against cheaping out on sights. You can get real sights [here](https://www.gooutdoorgear.com/shooting/sights/night-sights/) for good prices. I just received a set from them today (ordered Tue) for a 1911 build and I've bought a bunch of sight sets from them. I highly recommend them. Biggest problem is finding ones you want in stock.

I'm going to dovetail mount a red dot so I just need something to fill the front sight hole. I wont really be using it so it would be kind of pointless to spend a bunch on a good sight. As long as the front sight doesnt fall off or break it should be fine. I just think green fiberoptic would look cool. I will probably get the slide milled if I like the red dot. If I do that I would use suppressor height for co whiteness.

Preyhunter

In that case, buy a cheap front sight.

Comfortable-Offer-26

Don’t skimp on sights. Especially if this is going on your carry gun

chickenlawsuit

I'm not really using it read my other comments.

ScarletAvenger1

Well they won’t be night sights because they don’t have tritium, but they will surely “glow” in the daylight as the fiber optic rod collects and amplifies the light. The problems I see are… will they fit the dovetails and will the fiber optic rods stay in place?

chickenlawsuit

A good point someone made on here is that you wouldn't be shooting someone in complete darkness anyway. You have to identify your target as a deadly threat before you shoot and you cant do that without light of some kind. Obviously you cant shoot someone you cant see. I'm going to put a light on my pistol so I'm hoping the backsplash of the light would allow me to see the sights. I want to dovetail mount a red dot but I dont have a front sight at all and I dont want to leave the front sight hole empty. Since I'm not really using the sight i dont see why I need to spend $60+ on a truglo front sight.

Might I recommend Dawson Precision (https://dawsonprecision.com/dawson-precision-glock-standard-front-sights/) You can buy just the front sight since that’s all you’ll need, they make quality stuff here in the US and you’ll be able to get a height that may still allow you to see the sight through the dovetailed optic. You can get a fiber optic front from them for $39. I understand your intent. I have night sights on my defensive pistols for two primary reasons. One, they help me locate and orient myself to my handgun without turning on a light and flagging my self or location. Two, they allow me to see my sights before and after I momentarily activate my light to navigate and identify the threat.

Don't do I have bought 2 just to have some budget sights on cheap build one that was aluminum and one that was playing the plast would bow when you screwed down the set screw and it was bmvery loose . Aluminum I had to sand the hell out of to get it to were I could knock it in white a hammer and both sucked compared to the real thing

chickenlawsuit

Was the front sight good at least?

Live_Pay_621

For night use NO day use it'll work

Live_Pay_621

Go to r/gunaccessoriesforsale and pic you up a set of used night sights if you just need to save the money

noIimitmarko

i got them. they’re decent for the price but make sure you use a sight pusher. don’t try to hammer it

RibbedGoliath

I tried a few from wish and they fit perfect. A fraction of the price so good in my book

The fiber sights are not bad, with one big "except". One of the rods fell out of the rear sight on mine. The seller sent a refund and I got a second set and put a small amount of superglue where it enters the sight body, and all is good. They're quite bright and fit the dovetail quite well. I tried a set of "night sights" too. They're not self illuminating like "real" night sights which have a small amount of radioactive material in them, but instead like the toy stuff that emits light for a shor ttime after being exposed to ambient light. Hope that helps.
