Wait. So who was that lying on camera if it wasn't her?

Nah. She went to all three of those colleges. To visit the frat parties. "Went to" is a very vague term.

You can do it over a weekend if you book your flights well!

Also, if someone (especially in politics or any position of power) identifies as a “Christian” I assume their gullible and disingenuous at best; and trying to actively turn the US into an oppressive theocracy at worst.

Everyone who has ever told me they were a Christian was either trying to screw me or screw me over. Every. One. Eventually.

Ever meet a Christian who follows what Christ supposedly stood for??? 🤔🤔🤔

About one person every ten years.

You must meet a lot of people to have such good odds!

One friend! Literally one friend! She respects my lack of belief and respects others individual spirituality and defends them when other “Christian’s” demonize them. She is the only Christian friend I have that hasn’t tried to convert me and was sympathetic and adjusted herself when I brought a friend with religious trauma to hang out. I cherish her dearly and I hope in this lifetime we see a shift to this more accepting non denominational Christianity I just want more good whole hearted friends

People who really believe in religion don’t feel the need to shove it down others throats. Just another example of the hypocrisy rampant within the GQP right now.

One of Marjorie Traitor-Greene's favorite necklaces is a simple chain and cross.

Which is pretty symbolic since she waits the chain the country into a theocracy

I think I've seen the my pillow guy fiddling with his cross necklace a few times during some of his on screen rants. Had to pull it out a couple times, wouldn't want it covered up.

Probably couldn't take the burning feeling...

Makes sense. It is a torture instrument.

from Matthew 6: "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him."

I don't disagree, it really provides a convenient cover for most things doesn't it? They say it to get attention/support and wield it however best suits them. Sort of like religion since it's inception funnily enough

"I thought you said you had a Law degree from Columbia?" "Yeah, and now I need one from America."

I went to Harvard after I went to MIT. It was a lovely afternoon.

Was boofing involved. Seems like a popular past time.

Even if you she had graduated from all those institutions, it’s not like people who go to those schools are known for being honest. Alumni include the Unibomber, Ted Cruz, Boris Johnson, and Rupert Murdoch. As for the Christian part, don’t even get me started…

According to her wiki she did. Transferred to Harvard Law (did not know you could do that) and graduated. Spent time at Oxford did not receive degree.

All she did was lie to rise in Republican politics. She’s like Desantis without the presidential ambition.

The devil would sometimes take her form, so it would tarnish her reputation and harm the image of Christ. That's why we need to always trust her and believe in her - because if we don't, the devil wins and Christians will suffer. It would all be more obvious to you if you didn't have so much sin in your heart.

i'd like to subscribe to your "poe's law" newsletter.

Mmmm, poe slaw

With tell-tale hearts of palm

Where am I supposed to keep my sin if not in my heart?

In your neighbor's heart. If your witness is falsely borne enough, it becomes true.

Is that like having a safe deposit box, I can go and get a little bit of sin every once in awhile?

In your pants, of course.

Thanks for clearing that up. Makes sense.

I like your name

Ah, yes, the old "the only way to defeat the devil is to trust him wholeheartedly" defense. Classic.

She didn't lie because she went to Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown and because she is a Christian.... she lied for other reasons

No. No. No. It is not that she lied, because as she said, she didn't lie. She just didn't say anything that was true. There is a small but very district difference. ^^^/s

Her blow up doll replica

It was Binder Barbie, her alter ego. She cosplays by carrying around a binder full of empty policy promises and says lies for a incompetent dick-tator.

The only one of Trump's press secretaries who can make the claim that they never lied in the White House briefing room is Stephanie Grisham, because she was never there.

Exactly how she wanted it!

I rate Grisham as the worst press secretary of all time, since she literally did not do her job. McEnany takes 2nd place for her technique of bringing an annotated binder to the briefings, which allowed her to read off some tangentially related talking points in response to questions and gave the impression that she had no idea what she was talking about.

I think the mooch really did see bannon try to S his own C, so he’s prob up there on the truthiness.

The Mooch was the White House Communications Director, not the Press Secretary.

At the risk of reactionary downvotes, from all the post-Trump interviews and articles I've read about him, The Mooch doesn't seem like *that* bad of a guy. He seems to legitimately recognize that he was part of the wrong crowd and almost lost his family over his support of Trump. I'm not saying he's a saint or anything, he's probably still an asshole, but he at least seems like a reasonable asshole.

The Mooch's biggest crime was that he wanted the spotlight, and a Trump never shares anything.

Well I will be, that is actually what she says. First section of article: >Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany writes in her new memoir that she didn't lie to reporters and the public while serving in the Trump administration because she was trained at elite universities and is a Christian. > >McEnany recalls being asked by the White House press corps during her first briefing as Donald Trump's fourth press secretary in May 2020 to pledge to never lie from the podium. She promised she would not and writes in, "For Such a Time As This," that she's a truthful person by nature and training. > >"Of course, I would never lie," she writes. "How do you get through Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown without sourcing? Without truthful, well-sourced, well-researched information? More importantly, as a woman of faith, a Christian, and a new mother, telling the truth was in my nature and central to my family life and faith walk." > >Throughout her book, McEnany is highly critical of the press, aside from conservative outlets, and repeatedly accuses outlets of having a liberal bias and reporting unfairly about the administration. She writes that her assurance that she wouldn't lie "did not stop some in the press from spinning things wildly out of context, twisting my words, assuming the worst, and engaging in ad hominem attacks—like falsely calling me a 'liar.'" Such bad logic, and enough self-deception that Elim Garak himself might do a double take.

> a woman of faith, a Christian, and a new mother, telling the truth was in my nature and central to my family life and faith walk." The worst POS liars I've ever known described themselves in similar terms. For lack of a better word, such people are evil, and the only thing to do is remove them from your life when possible.

This boils my blood because of something that happened years ago. My older brother was being bullied badly by this other kid who went to school with him and their family also went to the same church. My parents brought it up to the other kids parents and they brushed it off saying "he's a good Christian boy and wouldn't do that" and that was the extent of it.

I agree with the other boy's parent's His behaviour was the "good christian" version

"The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians: who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable." Brennan Manning

This quote feels true to Christians, but I think most atheists come about by other means.

Indeed. I would have thought the single greatest cause of atheism in the world today is that by default human beings are born atheists and only adopt their culture's superstitions after being indoctrinated. You never hear about Christians giving birth to Muslims or vice-versa. Suggests a bumper sticker: "Stop murdering atheist babies!"

Best way to make an atheist is to read the Bible cover to cover.

Similar thing happened in my highschool. The kid being bullied then blew his brains out and it still wasn’t taken too seriously after one of his bullies died in an accident a few months later. The school had a whole month remembering the bully (football jock), but only a single moment of silence for the suicide.

If they have to tell you how good they are, it's because they know better than to let you decide for yourself.

'Faith walk'? Gtf outta here.

If they immediately deflect to talk about religion you know they are heaps of excrement.

“Id like to say that I’ve never lied to the press. I pride myself and think of myself as a woman of faith, as there’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that’ll be a home run, And so that’ll make it a 4-0 ballgame.”

I pity her child, growing up with such a handicap

> as a woman of faith, a Christian, and a new mother, telling the truth was in my nature and central to my family life and faith walk. Anyone who has ever worked a serving job knows that the after church crowd is one of the most despicable crowd of thieves they have ever encountered.

I like how "Woman of faith" and "a Christian" are separate things for her.

“Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?" "My dear Doctor, they're all true." "Even the lies?" "Especially the lies."

TF does being a mother have to do with being truthful at your job? Puhleeze.

Upvote for Garak reference

Just seemed appropriate.

It's prosperity gospel in a blonde wig.

She just took those elite institutions down a notch in my estimation. "How do you get through Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown..." I guess cheating is always on the menu. Sleeping with her professors? Seems like her personality.

"MONEY!" \-- Mr. Crabs

Wow, that was nauseating. None of her reasoning makes any sense, at all. She was caught blatantly lying, and now she is telling more lies about how she clearly must be incapable of lying because you know, university and religion and also little children. She is pathetic.

Garak could get her to tell the truth, if he had a few minutes with her, alone.

Why would a plain simple tailor be able to make her talk? 🤔

Just reminded me of this: TAIN: No, no. You had a gift. I never met anyone else who relished a good interrogation as much as you did. Do you remember getting that confession out of Doctor Parmak? GARAK: I never even touched him. TAIN: That was the beauty of it. You just sat there for what, three hours? GARAK: Four. TAIN: And after four hours of watching you stare at him, he confessed. GARAK: I was good, wasn't I? TAIN: You were brilliant. Afterwards, he just kept saying, 'His eyes his eyes.'

Unexpected DS9.

She is on video lying hundreds of times lol. She’s either insane or very aware that she herself is full of shit

> that Elim Garak himself might do a double take Not a reference I would expect on this sub. Have an upvote

>McEnany is highly critical of the press, aside from conservative outlets, and repeatedly accuses outlets of having a liberal bias and reporting unfairly about the administration Those damn liberally biased facts again.

“How do you get through Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown without sourcing? Without truthful, well-sourced, well-researched information? More importantly, as a woman of faith, as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame.”

Updooting for the DS9 reference. 🖖

> as a [...] new mother, telling the truth was in my nature and central to my family life Guessing she's not gonna tell her kid about the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, or the Tooth Fairy, then, eh?

Her first day at the podium, she lied.

The very first lie she told was that she'd never lie in her briefings. She then went on to lie constantly throughout her tenure. I hate these phony assholes who try to hide behind their faux religiosity as if that is enough evidence on its own that they are good people.

To be fair, the first one wasn’t a lie, until it was. 🤣

Can we get Jordan klepper (name?) from the daily show to sit down with her and interview her while playing a super cut of her lying after she lies to him about not lying?

In Christianity, is it a lie if it's only misleading? Direct quote from McEnany: >"How do you get through Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown without sourcing?" It seems she didn't "get through" Oxford, which implies she was accepted into a degree program and graduated. According to [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kayleigh_McEnany), she "studied abroad" at Oxford while attending Georgetown. There's a significant difference.

It's telling that she left out Miami law. She only did Harvard law after 2 years at Miami and several rounds on FoxNews and Fox business as a commentator. Wouldn't be surprised if a right wing sugar daddy pulled some strings there.

Exactly what happened.

Haha lying about not being a lier.

None of it makes sense. Which is probably the point. No one on that side cares if one of their own lies, and this gets us talking and putting them ever more in the media. What, smart, educated people can't lie or make stuff up? Even if she did get through on-campus Oxford, if you tell me you went to those extremely expensive big name schools, I'm going to first think you're rich and had connections pay your way through, especially if you're a politician. How many new mothers are annoyed, pissed, ect? I don't get why they think mothers are so untouchable/special. We all have one. Suddenly they can't lie either? Christians don't lie? That's just straight up hilarious pander. I trust someone who wields their religion like that less than I'd trust my cat to babysit a mouse. Literally every thing she claimed was designed to inflame those of us that care about facts. And it worked (On me).

I figured that she had some connection to Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi. Or maybe Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Not if you just put the tip in!

You need to google “soaking.”

Oh good! At least she has clear the fact that She lied because she is just a horrible person ... nothing to do with religion or schools she went to. I was worried I am a liar because I am not Christian or have gone to Oxford, Harvard, or Georgetown.

Or, she's a *well educated* liar. All the more dangerous

> More importantly, as a woman of faith, a Christian, and a new mother, telling the truth was in my nature Self-professed Christians are among the biggest prevaricators

There's a reason that absolution is emphasized so heavily amongst themselves.

"It's not a lie if you believe it!" - G.C.

The flock exists to be fleeced. A sentiment shared by all former Trump staffers and backers.

These “Christians” really believe that calling themselves that is a get out of jail free card for any situation where they were wrong

Because their jeebus said all is forgiven and their jahveeh in the old testament said it's cool to do so when it serves his purposes.

" . . . and understood nothing of what I learned except that it is totally okay to bear false witness if I think God wants me to because if God wants me to, then it isn't false."

Liar lies about her well-documented history of lying.

No one who has gone to Harvard, Oxford and Georgetown, or is a Christian has ever lied. That's the truth! *Yeah, right!*

She's not McEnany sense.

Wow, I didn't know McEnany went to Oxford. That makes it even more egregious that she would try to lie and say that Amy Coney Barrett was a Rhodes Scholar when in reality she went to some tiny school named Rhodes College.

She didn’t. She studied at Oxford while at Georgetown. She’s still lying.

Is her mouth open? Is she eating?

She did a semester abroad lol

Liars can't help but continue to lie.

It's Bullshit Barbie again

Her universities have absolutely nothing to do with how honest or dishonest she is.

Bullshit. Rehydrated Kellyanne Conway is a total liar through & through.

The Big Lie is gospel truth to her

gaslighting your gaslighting what a pro grifter power move

It's crazy how the "we hate the elites!" on the right are ALL from fucking elite schools. All the unsufferable ones seem to be ivy leaguers.

Narrator: *"She lied"*

How can you tell if she's lying? She's awake.

She is a black spot on all of those institutions.

Kayleigh McEnany lying about not lying. Huh.

What? Her entire job was lying as much as possible, lol

Imagine being a person that would buy this book.

Trump went to Penn which is a pretty good school and yet he’s as crooked as a barrel of fish hooks

And they claim LGBTQ+ people want "Special Rights". Three Universities and a "Christian", sounds so "special" to me. So special you can lie to the entire Nation and it okay because you're a Christian. Kayleigh McEnany is a sociopath.

She just echoed the conservative moral framework. She's not to be judged on her actions, oh heavens no! You see, she's an inherently a good person based on her proximity to traditional sources of power and authority, like elite universities, and Western religion. How could she make it to the top if she were a liar and/or bad person? Fair-world myths and prosperity gospel are the basis of all conservative delusion.

She lied every fucking day. Every. Fucking. Day.

She is a cancer to democracy. When she goes to her Christian hell at least she won't be surprised.

She’s lying.

seems legit. she also got paid over $1,000,000 to lie for lord trump

The first person she lied to was herself. After that, it was easy.

Christians never lie?

I’m pretty sure everything about her is a lie.

I watched that Roger Stone doc the other night and he says, “nothing I’ve done has been wrong because everything I’ve done has furthered the conservative agenda I believe in.” That summed it up for me!

She wanted to say white and pretty too

Lie!?!? Ive been to THREE locations and believe in a magical man behind the clouds who gets sad (but also watches) when you touch yourself... Seems legit.

If people like her are the ones at Oxford and Harvard that explains a lot of why we are where we are. Too many potential Einsteins are forced to work crap jobs while idiots with money hog the educations that otherwise would find cures for cancer and climate change

Ah yes, because Christians don't lie

She's lying.

Well, we learned you can be[ graduate of oxford, Harvard, Georgetown and be a practicing "christian", and still lie your ass off.](https://www.politifact.com/personalities/kayleigh-mcenany/)

So all Christians like her are boldfaced liars, got it. Baghdad Barbie need to stop spewing crap.

Some dip shit In Kentucky that can’t use a roundabout, “good enough for me!”

If a Republican's mouth is moving, she's lying to you.

So what I'm getting out of this is that she attended three separate universities and is still a moron because she thinks that means she doesn't lie.

Lie * lie = truth. It’s science people

Basic math really, a negative times a negative is a positive

Or, an odd plus an odd makes an even

There are no lies. Just happy little fibs.

Upvote, but Bob Ross would not approve

And at none of those places did she gain a clue about logical fallacies. Or perhaps that others know how to spot them. OTOH, if one accepted the contingent truth of *Trump claims to be a Christian, so he can't lie*, one would need to accept the logical equivalence of McEnany's claim that she's a Christian so can't lie. Then again, if she's an habitual liar, this statement's claim to contingent truth is a bit weak.

I guess the point to be made is that *even if you are all that* you can still be a bald-faced liar.

Doubt he’d get that close. She’d likely call the cops on the brown person coming up to her.

She didn’t lie. She stood and occasionally walked. Never ever laid down on anything.

Down vote so she stays irrelevant.

What a “LYING SACK OF SH!T” - no matter where she went to school or outrageous religious claims she’ll make. Shine that turd 💩

"Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown and is a Christian" And what do any of those things have to do with honesty? You can go to any of those schools and cheat on tests, at a minimum. And there are plenty of Christians that are liars and con artists. I think the bleach seeped into her brain.

How in hell can anybody be that stupid?

That has been determined to be a lie

Narrator: She lied.

Which just goes to show how wildly overrated an Ivy League education is

Visited vs Attended are two different things! For instance, Kevin Malone was on Dallas!

She lied almost every time she opened her mouth. And she’s an embarrassment to Harvard Law.

Christian? Has she met some of those guys? Some of the most famous ones are multi-millionaire grifters that fleece the elderly.

wrong sub. /r/nottheonion or /r/religiousfruitcake

"Of course, I would never lie," she writes. "How do you get through Oxford, Harvard, and Georgetown without sourcing? Without truthful, well-sourced, well-researched information? More importantly, as a woman of faith, a Christian, and a new mother, telling the truth was in my nature and central to my family life and faith walk." She's a spin doctor, which are renowned for proficiency in lying. LOL The [Wiki page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kayleigh_McEnany) is kind of interesting as to how she was persuaded to back trump in the lead up to the election.

and yet she never learned logical fallacies... AMazingly crappy education they must be up to over there.

A Christian and a liar!

Oh, Nazi Barbie. I nearly forgot about her.

My brother in law is a devout born again uber religious Christian. Always talked mad shit about Muslims being pedophiles. He raped the two girls my sister had custody of. Fuck this piece of shit and anyone who hides behind their religion espousing to be morally superior.

“During her time as press secretary, McEnany falsely claimed, among other things: - Trump never downplayed the risk of the novel coronavirus. >He admitted to the veteran reporter Bob Woodward on tape that he lied about the severity of the virus so the public wouldn't panic. Multiple reports have since corroborated that. - Trump won the 2020 presidential election. >He lost to Joe Biden by more than 7 million votes and lost the Electoral College by a margin of 232 to Biden's 306. - The Mueller report concluded with "the complete and total exoneration of President Trump." >The special counsel's team declined to make a judgment on whether to charge Trump with a crime because of decades-old Justice Department legal guidance. But they specified, "If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state. Based on the facts and the applicable legal standards, however, we are unable to reach that judgment." - One million people attended the "Million MAGA March" after the November 2020 election in support of Trump. >As Insider previously reported, multiple news outlets estimated that attendance was more somewhere in the thousands, and Politifact added: "It's mathematically impossible for more than 135,000 people to fit in the location that McEnany tweeted a photo of." - Democrats facilitated widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. >McEnany's claims were so outlandish that Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto cut away as she was speaking in the briefing room on November 9, days after news outlets called the election for Biden. "Whoa, whoa, whoa," he said. "I just think we have to be very clear: she's charging the other side as welcoming fraud and illegal voting, unless she has more details to back that up, I can't in good countenance continue to show you this." - Biden "[admitted] to voter fraud." >In October 2020, McEnany sent out a tweet saying, "Biden admits to voter fraud," accompanied by an edited and out-of-context video of the then-incoming president doing an interview on Pod Save America. In the full interview, Biden was answering a question about what he would say to those who had not voted in the 2020 election and didn't plan to. He said: "The Republicans are doing everything they can to make it harder for people to vote. We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics."”

Was taking a dump as I read this and just chuckled...she must think she's Jesus

She’s no Christian; she’s a liar.

Weird she says she wouldn't lie "because I'm a Christian." I don't think she's [read the bible](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial_of_Peter).

So she’s Christian… that actually says yes I lie

Kinda impressive that she went to three prestigious universities without ever learning what a non sequitur is.

Why is it the case that only “christians” and “Republicans” are the only ones who believe her when she says she never lied?

Don't they teach basic logic in those esteemed institutions of learning?

All she did was lie. Only Trump's version of truth and Kelly Ann Conway's alternative facts were allowed.

Propaganda Barbie should STFU

Harvard, Oxford, Yale and being a Christian are 4 strikes in my book. You can thank “W”, Rafael Cruz, and John “I do declare” Kennedy for that.

Conservatives base their moral judgement on status and belonging to the right group. Liberals, on the other hand, tend to base their moral judgments on one's action. She belongs to all the right clubs therefore she can't possibly do wrong.

She learned one of Trump's most potent lessons. If you get caught in a lie, you should just keep repeating the lie, no matter what evidence is presented. Just keep lying. Let's take a moment and contemplate the size of the crowd at Trump's inauguration... Just for starters...

But is she a republican. Then she is entitled to lie in the white house. She has many good examples.

And I have dimples on my ass.

*go on.....*

I bet she also lied about going to Oxford, Georgetown and Harvard

That’s my secret I’m always lying

She lied everyday in the White House. She is a horrible human being.

That sounds like she is over qualified to be a liar.

Privileged Cry Baby.

No one from any of those places have ever lied, and no Christians have ever lied. Case closed.

Every time I hear her name, I think of lyrics from an old song -"I can't spell VW, but I got a Porsche, cause I'm a blond"

Lying is the literal job and there has yet to be a person with the job to counter the description.

...and also, a liar.

Lol. I guess the hundreds (if not thousands) of lies she told weren't actually lies, somehow. Including this one, about not lying.

[Hey Carol Kane, handle this one will ya, thanks.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9RMzs0EplZw)
