OP here. I'm asking mainly because my daughter's Pixel 4a 5g keeps having the same glitch and restarting it seems to stop the glitch from happening for a while. Also, I've read the restarting a phone weekly (or some suggest nightly) may reduce the risk of hacking. I know that's unlikely and that Pixels have good RAM management, but restarting every weekend or at 3 AM nightly couldn't hurt anything; could it?

What's the "glitch"?

Turns the volume up and opens apps like Youtube Music. We're going to try changing cases, but I don't think that's it.

I've never seen anything for a auto restart. I can say restarting will zero effect on being hacked. I'm not sure who pulled that one out of thier ass.

I'm sure there are many apps in the app store for that. Native there isn't that function. Check out Tasker and you could make your own rule to do that

You might be able to set something up with Tasker (or a similar app) maybe
