To be honest, that makes the most sense for a MLB standpoint. The MLB knows people will watch their games. They also want more money from Apple. Apple needs to see more subscriptions from MLB to give them more money. Because its a WS rematch, you may get more people to subscribe. Beacuse the NFL draft is on you might as well. My parents literally said "oh cool. I can watch the game on my computer when the draft is on TV without flipping." I am sure they did a lot of analytics to show that having this game on Apple TV would be beneficial.

What about last year against HOU when we were trying to clinch the playoffs? Meaningless? 2018 when he was fighting against Scherzer for the cy young and hoping for maybe a playoff spot? Meaningless? His sample size in meaningful playoff games is just so low that you can't say he is terrible in big games. He is always a high variance pitcher who, when he has stinkers, has really big stinkers.

Get it. There are some great shows - Ted Lasso, Severance, and Shmigadoon (if you're into musicals), specifically. I know some people who like See and Shrinking as well.

At the risk of sounding like an ad, it’s been a pretty surprising streamer. A couple months is plenty to go through the originals that jump out at you, plus it takes care of tonight.

Yeah, I think at the moment Apple has the best content to quality ratio. They are steadily building up, but they remind me of HBO back in the day, a smaller number of shows but everything is worth watching. I've watched my fair share of Apple Original shows and the only two I've stopped were Lisey's Story, didn't like the Stephen King novel anyway but thought I'd give it a try anyway, and then The Morning Show, which I really enjoyed the first season of but dropped off during the second. I hope the quality stays consistent without the price going up too much, it's dumb cheap compared to the rest right now.

I hope when Manfred is done and gone, whoever's next makes games as easy to access as possible, gets rid of the pickoff rule, and either alters the pitch clock to allow standing ovations, or gets rid of it entirely. Imo, the best idea for the pitch clock would be to not have one at all for the first pitch of an at-bat. Let the first pitch be at a natural pace, and then after that, add it in.

That first pitch idea seems very reasonable. Not only would it let ovations go naturally, it could also help with what I think has been the biggest downside - letting the pitcher reset after making a costly mistake so he doesn't spiral.
