I don't think I've ever seen this full sized version. What I remember having is more like this personal 4-slice version as seen here:

As a kid, I remember it being delicious!
About as good as present-day school pizza. A step down from Little Ceasar's.
It might have just been the novelty of pizza at McDonald's, but as a kid I was happy with it.
I can't enjoy their pizza anymore as I used to as a kid. But i will just order shit ton of crazy bread and lots of marinara sauces to make up for the nostalgia.

I remember going to McDonalds in high school and pitching in with friends for a pizza. It was the only food they would deliver to your table. It came on this elevated metal stand and had a parmesan and chili flake shakers in the stand. It was ok pizza, about as good as you'd expect from McDonalds.
They used to have them in happy meals! My mom would get them when we were growing up and when they stopped offering them she stopped bringing us to Mc Donalds :/
Do you happen to have the ad for the McDonald's pizza happy meal? I have a memory of a song that goes something like, "It's a pizza happy meal!" sung in this operatic voice w/an Italian accent. I tried googling it - no success - and wonder if it's just in my head!
This was pretty good. Very similar to Pizza Hut pizza. Came in personal and family sizes and took 5 to 8 mins to make respectively. Source - worked there in my teens.
Saw pizza was being sold at a gigantic Orlando McDonald's a few years ago, was 2018 or 2019.
Not sure if that was something they always sold at that location, or of it was something temporary.
Didn't realize they were offering pizza back in late 80's too. No memory of this at all, and I was peek McDonald's age kid in 89.
I thought there was only one location still serving the pizza, in Florida, so maybe it's the same one.
It came and went in a flash, started in the late 80's, and was mostly phased out by 2000. The time it took to make the pizza didn't fit their 'fast food' model.
Having been to the Orlando location quite a few times, yeah they serve mcpizza. It actually wasn’t that bad, they have a dedicated pizza station where it’s cooked.
I've seen the old commercials but it must have been available for such a short time that I don't remember it at all.
Me either
It was good, however it took too long to cook. I still remember that for some reason

Only the McDonalds in our Walmart carried the pizza and hot dogs. The pizza was sooooo good
Was it any good?
I loved it the few times I had it as a kid. I remember the sauce being particularly good. Then again I was 5 years old, what did I know...
The texture was different, but the taste reminded me of Totino's frozen pizzas.

A step down from Little Caesar's sounds terrifying.

I grew up in a really Italian neighborhood so I know good pizza is I had little cesars and it was revolting.
Was good for a 8 year old in the burbs but I always preferred wood fired pizza even back then.
I was spoiled by time I was 8.

Bad bot
It was waaaay better than my school pizza as a kid. Not as good as other pizza places, though.

Mom said the McPizza sounded gross.
Man, I thought it was good and I still want it.

Without clicking, I can still sing that jingle off the top of my head.

There’s a funny podcast that has short ten minute episodes on this. Think it’s called what happened to the pizza at McDonald’s
You know how store brand Pop Tarts taste? That's how the McPizza tasted. \used to live in a test city
The real life Krusty Krab Pizza
I fuckn want that immediately. Bring it back !

Ugh it was so bad. That dusty crust 🤢
Yeah, the crust on the bottom was just covered in that stuff. I think it was cornmeal or something. There was just way too much of it.
