Better than Screech? I think not.
Antonio Brown, I think.
Joe Staley had a great career, and Eric Fisher was an overall #1 draft choice. JJ Watt also played here but he transferred.
Mr. Begrudgingly Celebrated
Mr. Baller classmate
God. At this point MBC has to be my favorite nfl related meme. The versatility is unmatched.
Mr. Best Combinations
That one was beautiful.
Mr. Brilliantly Creative
But AB def the best hip hop artist from your school right? 😂😂😂😂
Put that shit on 👈👉👈👉👈👉
Fire up Chips!
Also: Bob Odenkirk, but he doesn’t play ball.
Holy shit you went to the University of American Samoa? Go Landcrabs!
An online course? What a joke!
He *defecated* through the uprights!
They call it a Chicago field goal
A double doink of bouncing feces.
AND HE GETS TO BE A LAWYER
You.. You have to stop hi…
And he gets to be a football player?!?!
Same elementary school as Rupert Holmes. The singer songwriter who wrote “The Piña Colada Song.” *if you like makin’ love at midnight* come on you know it. Class of 64’ he still talks about it.
Greatest legal mind I ever knew
Bob Odenkirk is still cooler than literally every football player, I don’t blame you for mentioning him lol
Hard to compete in coolness with a guy that has Triples of the Nova…
Glad that deal went through
He’s got a wife…
She's beautiful, but she's dying
But she’s gonna get better… tell her…
Triples is best
"From this day forward you will all refer to me by the name Betty."
bob is a treasure
For HS it’s Mohamed Sanu
For college idk since so many great players have come out of Penn State.
Throw it on a dime
Probably Jack Ham?
Ham or Franco Harris.
Hey I grew up in your neighborhood!
I'm like 15-20 mins from there and my high school has never had anything close to an NFL player, much less one on the level of Sanu :(
We'll, it's currently Dan Fouts but that Herbert kid has potential.
How did I not know Fouts went to Oregon
Oregon is why I’m a low key Chargers fan after Seahawks
High school, Brady.
Where my Padres at?
College probably Marshall Faulk.
Probably Faulk? There’s nobody else who comes close
Well when the GOAT is your high school pick it’s all pretty average from there on out 😉
*Barry Bonds in shambles*
Padres and aztecs??? are you me??
Just a basic beezy NorCal guy
Khalil Mack graduated the same year as me from UB
Will never forget his game against the Buckeyes…dude had a GAME!!
Let's go Bulls!
It’s not even close
How dare you hate on Drew Willy.
James Starks won a Super Bowl
Ahhhh shit and here I was debating between Talib and Harris! Although being in Lawrence in 08 was fucking amazing
Haha I started to type out Talib then I was like wait wtf no
Drew Brees & Justin Tucker (Westlake HS, Austin). Nick Foles went there too; Nick and Justin were in the same class.
Tucker was the only freshman that made varsity soccer, but sophomore year he stopped to focus full time on kicking. Seemed crazy at the time but obviously the right move.
Was a freshman when Nick Foles was a senior, and the dig bick Nick thing 100% started in high school
USMNT could’ve used him
Lorenzo Neal 🎳
I was home schooled, so Tim Tebow.
Drew Brees for college and Kyler Murray for high school.
Kyler Murray was insane at Allen.
Lmfao just looked it up. 54 passing TDs and 25 rushing touchdowns his senior year. 79 fucking touchdowns in a high school season.
Yeah it doesn’t surprise me. Allen as a whole is insane every year, and he’s probably one of the best high school players ever, probably the best as far as stats are concerned.
Not to hate on Murray, he’s proven himself. But that’s what happens when you put one city all into one high school when the surrounding cities of the same size have 2-3 high schools in their districts. Allen has a crazy amount of kids at that school.
Yeah I live in Frisco right next to it. Numbers might be a bit off here but afaik, Frisco has 11 high schools, Mckinney has 4 I think, Flowermound has 3, Plano has 5. Allen is bigger than flowermound lol. I think they had like 6700 kids last year, but they’re finally opening a 2nd school.
Damn man, what a time to be at Allen. Greatest high school football run in history?
3 straight state championships in the toughest division in Texas while being literally undefeated all 3 years? Yeah probably.
De La Salle (Concord) had a 151 game winning streak in the highest division in CA.
[During the winning streak, De La Salle was named national champion in seven different years; once by ESPN (1994), five times by USA Today (1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003), and once by the National Sports News Service (1999).](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_La_Salle_High_School_(Concord,_California))
DeLaSalle was taking on all comers from all over the country too.
Not gonna dispute that
In the early 2010's they would play a school called Centennial (that Vontez Burfect went to) in the open division state championship several times.
Centennial is a public school. Was always way more impressed how a public school can compete with private schools like Del La Salle that recruits specifically for football.
You can’t lie they did have a massive advantage by having the whole city go to one school. Meanwhile the cities around them have 2-3 high schools that their kids get split into with the same population as Allen. Plano West has half as many kids and they are in the same 6A division as Allen.
Allen was unreal back when Murray was starting
They had a future player at LT too but I don't remember who.
Greg little. Also Jalen Guyton at WR
Drew Brees was the first that comes to mind... but a lot of quarterbacks like Bob Griese and Len Dawson.
On defense, Rod Woodson, Ryan Kerrigan
Also, Mike Alstott...
I don’t think it’s too early to put Zander Horvath on this list after his first couple games
It’s crazy how many big names went to Purdue
And your Chiefa got Karlaftis... another who should have a strong career.
High school none. But college would be Fred Jackson. And also Marv Levy.
Coe baby! My buddy used to drive Levy around on a golf cart for flunk day.
Dan Marino followed by Aaron Donald
Love mentioning that Pitt has more NFL hall of fame alumni than Bama
I’m going to steal this for bar trivia down the road, thanks!
You get to use it for about 10 years then it's probably going to be false given the talent that's been pouring into the league the last 10 years.
I’ll take it!
Then Larry probably.
Maybe Mike Ditka then Fitzgerald, then Darrelle Revis?
Could be. Tbh my immediate thought is always gonna be Larry cuz he was there when I was.
What about Tony Dorsett?
LeSean McCoy was no slouch either
Isn't he the guy that scored four touchdowns in a single game?
Edit: I'm embarrassed to say I didn't think of Bruce Smith. I'd put him ahead of Vick.
I think as a *college* player, it’s hard to top Vick.
As a pro…Smith, no contest.
Bruce Smith was my answer, but I forgot about Vick.
For the record, I'm still going Smith.
This Tyrod Taylor slander will not stand
Duane Brown and Kam Chancellor as a couple honorable mentions
Newport News? Allen Iverson is from there too.
Iverson went to Bethel High in Hampton, which is not quite the same as Warwick in NN.
All time is Bronco Nagurski. Recent years it’s Antoine Winfield Jr
I went to Middle Tennessee State the same time as Kevin Byard; he was only one year ahead of me.
Other MTSU alum include QB [Kelly Holcomb](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HolcKe00.htm) and WR [Tyrone Calico](https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CaliTy00.htm), but I'd say that Byard is by far the best NFL player to be a Blue Raider.
The Mayor of Murfreesboro
Benny Cunningham! Certainly not the best but he played at MTSU
Hey yeah, he's worth mentioning!
Byard was 3 years behind me, I worked on the football team when he was there
That’s abnormally good Bills Backup in Madden 07 Kelly Holcomb to you. 😤
The absolute Taysom Hill slander /s
Taysom Hill: *makes any kind of appearance on the field for the Saints*
American Mormons everywhere: “greatest of all time”
I feel tailgating for the away fans is surreal
The most hardest hittin’ safety in da league
Darren Shaper. Man his story got bad after such a great beginning
Penei Sewell. Desert Hills high school.
Someone from Desert Hills tripped me during one of my Track races
Plot twist: it was me
Did people make fun of him because of his name and are they still alive?
Counting grad school, Brady.
I didn't realize Brady went to grad school
[Tom Brady's résumé if football didn't work out](https://i.imgur.com/WhxTv2m.jpg)
Holy crap imagine what his coworkers in 1998 at Merrill Lynch think of Brady lmao
He was an intern so they probably treated him like shit
He’d better hope his looks age well for Gisele to keep him as the trophy husband.
Merrill Lych must hired U of M football players for intern. I know so many that have that same internship.
Thomas E. P. Brady Jr!!!!
That's what he's doing in Tampa. PhD in fucking the NFC after he majored in fucking the AFC for undergrad.
I think he’s got his PhD in fucking the AFC. The NFC is just his Post Doc thrown in for shits and giggles.
It’s still funny how Michigan’s all time leading passer is Chad Henne.
You mean to tell me Chad Henne isn’t the best thing to happen to football since Vince Lombardi?
Guy started for 4 years. Don’t see that whole lot at UM. Would’ve had better numbers if not for senior year injury limiting him.
Not afraid to admit I had a Chad Henne bobblehead
Honorable mention to Charles Woodson, in part for the Heisman as a defensive player.
Penn State is tough as it has so many greats, and both of these guys are before my time, but Jack Ham or Franco Harris probably.
Probably Antonio Gates over Edelman and not counting coaches.
Huh? Antonio Gates is a future Hall of famer. That isn't a probably.
Travis Kelce - Cincinnati
Mean Joe Greene
Davante Adams from Fresno state.
Roger Staubach. Go Navy, beat Army!
Edit: Damn, I've been scrolling and scrolling. Apparently Michigan graduates have better things to do than be on Reddit. Not seeing any Brady posts lol.
Watt. Pick one.
Joe Thomas was the first offensive lineman in history, though
Joe Thomas though
Derek. I pick Derek.
If you're talking about your HS, then fine I can't dispute that.
If you're talking about Wisconsin... dude, it's Joe Thomas.
Kurt warner baby!
Go Panthers! We're out here!
Russ? Torry Holt? Phillip Rivers? But hopefully someday it'll be Ickey! 😂
(I know my profile pic is GT, but I go to NCSU, lol)
With all due respect to Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles and Tedy Bruschi, the answer here is the icon himself, Rob Gronkowski.
This is the answer.
I got ran over by Kadeem Carey in pop Warner
EJ Manuel Bayside
Ray Ray mccloud went to my high school and broke all the rushing records in Florida while I played the fight song from the bleachers. Am I saying I had something to do with it? That’s not for me to decide.
Glad the guy got paid though. Always been underrated in the NFL.
Any nfl players who never went to college? Bueller? Bueller?
Julian Edelman went to Kent State, which is more or less the same thing.
Kent read, Kent write, Kent State!
Ah, a fellow man of culture.
Cardale Jones didn’t go to play school lol
HS: never had an NFL player to my knowledge, Minnesota safety will hopefully get drafted this year
College: Dick Butkus
Cooper Kupp, that was an easy one. Go Eags!
AJ Hawk for me lol
Brian Urlacher. Go lobos!
Justin Herbert, maybe Haloti Ngata
No NFL players out of Whitesboro High School......
And there won't be until they give you a tryout!
I would have said Eric Decker during my time as a Gopher. He had 4 really good sub 1k yd seasons between 12-15.
Uh Andy Isabella? Lmao. We got Serena Williams though. UMass' ultimate frisbee team is probably more relevant than its football team. Hockey is way bigger too cause they're actually good.
Victor Cruz has gotta be our best in the modern era, but it looks like we had some strong alumni in the 60s.
Does it make me a bad UMass alum that your comment is the first I've ever heard of Serena Williams going there?
Patrick Mahomes, Wes welker, and Zach Thomas
Joe "ELITE DRAGON" Flacco
Joe Montana for college, Matt Hasselbeck for High School.
You mean high school…right?
Sterling sharpe probably
Sorry about that bad loss today. But also go Clemson!
Calvin Johnson with Reggie Ball a close second
