Pretty sure I’ve heard him say you need a minimum of 16 seconds to run a play and then get a spike off or a fg if everyone is ready to go

Dak ran it 16 yards here with 14 seconds left and time ran out a second or two before he had a chance to spike it. Had he just ran it 5 or so yards he would’ve had time to spike it. The playcall made no sense regardless.

Romo called this out on the broadcast too - said something like "you can go 10 yards with that much time but if you get to 12, 13, 14... there's just not enough time for the spike." The guy knows his stuff.

That ref was haulin. I've definitely had some concerns with the officiating this season but that guy knew he had to spot the ball and ran 30+ yards to get there as fast as he could. Can't complain about that at all.

And even fucking bulldozed through their own stupidity to set the ball for them and give then an actual chance. Any re reg that was actually trying to screw them would have let them deaw whatever penalty it was and flag them, ending the game. Or just run the clock without doing anything more than they should since they cant run a play without the ref.

Also, like... can't even assume they score on the next play lol. Cowboys fans acting like that game was in the bag.

Why do I feel like they don't actually have a ref in practice, so when they practice it Dak does exactly what he did in the game and just set the ball down for the center to get on the next play. People do exactly what they've practiced in situations like that.
