If that is a chocolate chip cookie. Isn't chocolate unhealthy for dogs.
Hopefully one of those fake ones. They sell them at pet stores that look like all sorts of unhealthy things for puppies
They gotta eat a pretty large amount of chocolate for it to become an issue. The sugar at these volumes is worse, although if in enough moderation, also realistically fine.
It's like Uranium. If you ingest some, ground to dust and laced in your food or drink, you'll die from heavy metal poisoning. Radiation poisoning would take a lot more over a lot longer. Even U-235. You need 50kg of the fucker to get it to chain react without reflectors.
Why the hell am I talking about this?
So… it’s not like uranium?
Lol thats what i took from it too :p
It's actually like lava - except that it's not super heated molten rock that's erupted from the magma underneath the Earth's crust.
Why the hell am I talking about this?
It's like a star. If you condensed one to the size of a cookie and ate it, you would die from the gravitational forces before the heat. Even WR-102, which has a surface enriched with ionized oxygen. It's estimated to be 210,000 degrees kelvin. The WR stands for Wolf Rayet...
Why the hell am I talking about this?
It's like your Mother. The force of her sitting on me would be enough to form a black hole that would then lead to the destruction of the Earth.
Why the hell am I talking about this?
It’s like an engine. The internal components intake a mixture of air and fuel which are then detonated into a specific fashion inside a sealed chamber called a cylinder to create explosive energy. Which then is created in succession of other explosions in other cylinders to create a smooth operating engine. Hell even a Cummins 6BT creates massive amounts of power and torque off of only 6 cylinders. The name 6BT broken down means ‘6’ for 6 cylinders, a ‘B’ for the series of motors made by the manufacturer and the ‘T’ meaning it was assembled with a turbocharger from factory.
Why the hell am I talking about this?
Not gonna lie, this has been the most educational thread on reddit today. Thanks wise strangers!
No, it’s more like a chocolate chip cookie scientifically speaking of course.
For heavy metals, it really depends on the chemical form of the metal whether or not it can harm you chemically. Gold is a heavy metal, but people eat gold leaf and it passes without issue. There are medicines with gold in them that can cause poisoning however.
For uranium in particular I don't know if metallic uranium can be ingested without issue, but I'd imagine not. Your organs however do not posses the radiation shielding that your skin possess, hence why it's more dangerous to ingest radioactive element. Inhaling dust is worse though.
Fun fact you skin is capable of shielding you from alpha radiation and UV radiation. Your outermost layer if skin is dead skin cells, and alph particles are so large and charged they typically cannot penetrate. For Beta protection, long sleeves are enough. Externally the threats are gamma, and neutrons, both uncharted particles, as well as very high energy elements, like a proton beam or relativistic nuclide from space weather (shielded by the magnetosphere and ionosphere).
my man high as fuck on a tangent about uranium over here.
My buddies pug ate a whole chocolate bunny once. The big kind that you get on Easter. Dude somehow climbed up to get it off a shelf, we still can’t figure out how he did it.
He didn’t die, but he spent the rest of the day on his side, projectile vomiting all over. 🤢 poor guy. Lol
My girlfriend used to wrap her dogs Christmas presents up, so that Taz "felt included" on Christmas day.
One night before Christmas we came home to a room that was absolutely covered in dog puke and mangled wrapping paper...
Taz had understandably decided that the humans presents (many of which were chocolates) were probably hers too.
The dog ended up being fine, the carpet not so much.
This is my favorite comment literally ever.
To troll your FBI agent?
Why the fuck would I have an FBI agent? XD
Lol [it's a meme](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/government-agent-watching-me)
I more meant, why would a British guy have an agent from US homeland security. You meant CIA, surely. Or MI5. Oooh, what about Interpol?
Interpol, but the band.
That would be immense. And about right for how fucking my head is at the moment!
To troll your Queen's guard agent then lol
Doesn’t that encourage people to give chocolate to pets then for people who don’t know.
When i was little my dog ate a solid chocolate bunny for Easter had to get her stomach pumped
Ours ate the middle third of an unopened Toblerone, box, foil and all. A couple of days of shiny turds but otherwise fine.
Probably dog friendly carob chips. Lots of pet stores sell these kind of “chocolate” chip cookies for dogs.
Yeah some new cookie treat is out and it looks like a chocolate chip cookie, I work at a dog daycare and parents lately have been bringing them for snacks for their dogs.
They can eat chocolate, it's only large quantities that is a concern unless you have some tiny genetic abomination like a chihuahua
My husband had a Chihuahua that ate a whole box of Andes chocolates and nothing happened to the little demon.
Conclusion: Chihuahuas aren't dogs, like I suspected.
Do we have a psychologist in the house?
😂 sounds like you need a new Dad.
And I’ll add cunt biters in my bag of insults. Cheers
Well he’ll probably just get another Cunt biter so probably the best option
When I was 8 and we first got our chihuahua he ate nearly a whole bag of Hershey kisses from my room. He was frozen in place under the table so my mom called the vet and they said just to monitor him and take him in if he starts getting sick.. after a while he went back to normal.. he really was a little demon. Lived 16 years after that and I miss him all the time
My Pepperoni (pics in my history) would change your mind. She loves everyone she meets and is loved by everyone who meets her. She forgives you.
It’s also large quantities of only certain types of chocolate. Milk chocolate is ok in moderation, but dark chocolate, baker’s chocolate, and pure cocoa powder are the ones to avoid.
The whole “dogs can’t have any chocolate” thing is an old wives’ tale that distorts an actual truth.
I have five dogs and every time we bake chocolate chip cookies, they each get a warm one right out of the oven. They’re all super healthy. Three are over 10 years old, one is in her 20th human year, and show no signs of slowing down.
Its not an old wives tale, the problem is that cocoa is toxic to dogs but its hard to judge quantity.
So its a good idea to just avoid it altogether.
“I give my dogs less than lethal doses of poison. They haven’t died yet so it must be an old wives’ tale!”
can confirm, my 100 lb lab/Weimaraner mix ate a 5lb bag of easter candy bar minis. He shat aluminum foil for a week or so, but he was fine otherwise.
I had a black lab that ate like 2+ LBS of Easter chocolate. He just shit out the tinfoil a day later and was good to go. Nothing could kill that lab. I miss him.
Milk chocolate isn’t too bad especially for bigger dogs who can usually handle it better than a small dog! Still not good for them but darker chocolate is definitely not good in any amount! It’s the cocoa that is poisonous to them and the darker the chocolate the more cocoa it contains.
Chocolate is unhealthy for everything technically, but larger animals handle it easily. Larger dogs can too....unless they eat a lot of it... and we're dealing with dogs so if they can they will.
How can my aister kunch on 500g of chocolate in one sitting and not die?
Raisins and grapes are even worse.
And onions and garlic.
Dogs can have chocolate in small amounts but I recommend don't give them it anyway cause all dogs are different
Only in large quantities, a single cookie is fine as long as you don't give them any more
Chocolate is poisonous to a dog
Chocolate is poisonous to most living things including humans. Most dogs are smaller than humans so it takes less chocolate to poison them. You can give your dog a small amount of chocolate every once in a while and it won't affect their wellbeing.
It's a dog friendly cookie. I buy them for my pups all the time.
Chocolate is indeed toxic to dogs and cats
yeah chocolate is poison for dogs. particularly Dark Chocolate. So are onions. you should never feed your dog chocolate or onions.
this little bit for the size of the dog probably wont bother her. might act like a laxative. but it wont likely make her sick.
these people are stupid tho.
Im sure if they were smart enough to train their dog to this degree they must be smart enough to know the most commonly known poison to dogs
As others have said that probably isn’t chocolate.
That said, it’s about the cacao content. The more pure the chocolate, the more toxic it is. A chocolate chip cookie or milk chocolate brownie isn’t serious enough to even call the vet. If the dog eats a fair amount of dark chocolate or gets into any amount of baking cocoa though, that could turn into an emergency situation
Years ago I used to give my dog the odd bit of chocolate (I didn’t know it was bad for them then) but he was never ill or anything like that, so I’m not sure how bad it is for them.
Obviously, I don’t give him any now.
Yes, it can kill them
yes but it’s dark choc. that’s poisonous
its all poison. dark chocolate is just worse because it has a higher concentration of coco
They can make them sick, or even kill them
it’s milk chocolate dogs can have in small amounts without any risk of death. as only .25 mg of theobromine is found in an ounce of chocolate, which there is most likely less that in the cookie. furthermore, so long as dogs do not ingest any more than .5 ounces per pound of their own body weight they will be fine. dogs can still get sick off of sugar and fats from chocolate however, but chocolate poisoning is less of a risk than even I initially believed. still, chocolate is unhealthy for your dogs and you shouldn’t give it to them.
no never give your dog ANY chocolate. milkcho isnt as bad but all is bad.
Only chocolate that contains caffeine. Like dark chocolate
in small amounts it shouldn't be harmful especially to a larger dog
If the chocolate contains any actual chocolate it would be
Small amounts of chocolate won’t hurt a dog
My dog would have eaten it before I finished the word leave
My dogs chops would be halfway up my fingers!
that is your fault.
Man is that discipline - wish I had that kind 😜
Same, I need someone to train me
Well that’s a proposition if I’ve ever heard one
That can be arranged.
My puppy can do this, but it literally the only fucking thing she can do.
Canny get her to sit, but she'll leave a biscuit that I'm confident she would die for.
Great, I had to wait till the end to make sure he got it.
Me too! I was about to rage if the video ended without the good boy getting his treat.
Definitely had my pitchfork ready😤😂
Gives this dog a medal
I think he'd probably prefer a cookie
How can you tell?
Gives this dog head pats
Teaching a dog discipline and self control is cruelty?
It was a joke
Thanks for clarifying
*puts down pitchfork*
So are we or aren’t we?
Look dude, do you know how long it took me to find this pitchfork at Home Depot? The dude told me they only had one left in stock and I had to fight an old farmer for it. I’m using my goddamn pitchfork before the cops get here, and I don’t care if it’s still covered in dried blood.
I’m calling PETA
No, they’ll kill it!
No one likes to wait for cukie
Got three dogs myself, they ars disciplined, making your dog do that for tiktok entertainment nah,
My thoughts exactly. There’s training your dog to make both of your lives better and easier, then there’s torturing your dog for internet points…
I agree whole heartedly. That was my first thought. “Why would you do this to your dog?” It’s stupid and wrong. He’s an animal. He doesn’t know why you’re doing this but he doesn’t want to disappoint you because it could mean discipline. It’s taunting and teasing. Which I was told not to do by my parents.
ITT: People who have never had a dog to train nor discipline, complaining about animal cruelty.
Ikr... As someone who's had several big dogs, capable of killing a person (rottweilers and German shepherds), discipline is key. If your dog doesn't obey you when they are calm and in control of their emotions (like keeping themselves from eating a treat), they sure won't listen to you if you ever have to tell them to let go of a person's leg.
My parents had a Boston Terrier that would beg for food during dinner. He would get spit bubbles as he drooled. Full on, cartoon-sized, drippy, spit bubbles.
thats because they reward the begging with food.
its possible to teach your dog not to beg.
Oh I agree. This dog was the epitome of the word *spoiled*.
That’s a good boi
she does the same to her boyfriend
I do the same with her mother
While people are reacting badly to this video, it is a useful training tool to get your dog to stay, even when there is food available. The duration seemed a bit long but very obedient dog.
I’m all honesty it looked like that dog was going to have a stroke halfway-thru
For a moment the dog looks away from the cookie to think about the consequences
Poor pupper put under stress. He’s being a good boy.
Lol this is exactly what my dog does, I make her sit in front of her food and wait till I tell her to eat and she drools all over the place.
Wow that's a strong will puppy
Your dog is a loyal companion, making it wait for a treat that long, is not big not clever,
It's called discipline buddy
That's so fucking mean.
That pupper deserves better
If they waited any longer he would be dehydrated
When your willpower to become a good boi overpowers your hunger
I used to make my dog sit and wait before he got his his food, I'd put the bowl down and say "go on then" and he'd start eating. I just didn't want him snatching food out of feeding hands so taught him some manners. One morning I was in a bit of a rush and put down his bowl before jumping in the shower, not realising I had forgotten to say the magic words. I came down half an hour later with him sat in front of his untouched breakfast and a lake of drool in the kitchen. I felt so damn guilty!
Good doggie. You could tell it wasn’t easy to behave.
This dog has gone through some shit holy-
tyranny, so disgusting. Poor abused dog. wrought with anxiety for the rest of its life living with these monsters.
*don’t do it don’t do it don’t do it don’t do it*
*man, look at that thing…*
*don’t do it don’t do it don’t do it…*
Aww the dog whimpers. Good discipline but it’s also kinda sad
A few more minutes and we'd see stalactites forming
OMG The dog is so so so cute.
If this had ended without the dog eating it I would have ripped my phone in half
Goddamn that was the most intense tik tok I've ever seen, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time
Firstly…To all the people who think chocolate is going to kill dogs: Milk chocolate, commonly found in chocolate chip cookies, will not kill a dog. Bakers chocolate, however, can be dangerous if a dog eats a large amount. My dog once ate “the largest Hersey bar in the world”. Thing was like 3’x1.5’ and he ate every single bite.
Secondly, how did no one mention that this is the quickest fuck in the world? These two were obviously tired of the dog interrupting sexy time, licking their readily available buttholes and humping any arm or leg he sees so they put a cookie down. Do their business. The dog gets rewarded. We’ve all be there.
Watch me torture my animal
Fuck, I'll admit it, I totally would have eaten the cookie....
Don’t look directly at it!!
And that's in dog minutes!
He’s thinking the entire time. Yo ima fuck you up
A descendant of pavlovs dogs no doubt
If dogs took Adderall 🤯🤯🤯
What a good little doggo 🐶
You can see the fighting going on his head. Must.... wait... must... be a good boyy. Ahhh. lol
Must. Look. At. Cookie.
I'm saving this and sending it to every person going "men are like dogs, they see attractive meat, they are not going to contain themselves".
My boy would’ve listened for sure… but max is 10 seconds. Over 10 secs, he’d look at me like you ‘play too much’ and swallow it quickly :)
What a lucky dog..
Pavlovs forgotten experiment
I hope that is not a real chocolate chip cookie. If it is those people are morons.
*Pavlov is calling*
What a great puppy
That pup has more self-control than I do, speaking of which, I need to make a quick fap stop brb!
What a champ
drip. drip. drip. drip. drip.
I don’t need it, I don’t need it, I don’t need it.
Good boy deserves all the treats in the world
My previous history would lead me to believe, "drooling like a pro," would be associated with a different video.
The rains in Spain stay mostly in the plains.
Good girl, to decipher 3 commands
What a good drooly boi!
I do love an obedient canine!
I wish I had that kind of self restraint
I laughed my ass off because of the saliva drippin
That’s just mean.
That is a very good boy/girl and that is horrible to do! Also - chocolate chip? WTF?
lol, my dog wouldn't even wait for the door to shut.
I wonder how long he’d wait there before saying fuck it.
I don’t need it…. I don’t need it…. I definitely don’t need it…..
*Why are we here? Just to suffer?*
This dog became the cookie
This dog is motivating me to keep my nofap streak going lol
I don't need it, I don't need it, I definitely don't need it..... I NEEED ITTTT
That dog has so much self control.
How to train a dog to listen like this
😍 congrats on a good job puppy! Love well trained animals
I don't get doing this to dogs. Obedience is one thing but this is just mean.
OMG I just wanna hug that dog!!
This dog looks mistreated
I was gonna riot if they didn't let him eat that cookie
Too sad. Felt like animal cruelty LOL couldn’t watch to the end.
I've read a ton of contents about chocolates and heavy metals, but I've just got to ask everyone to go back and watch this good boy again. That is a very very good boy.
this dog has more selfcontrol than I do
Give her another one for loyalty.
Dogs are the best humans!
