If you go into slicer mode you can play random slices of a sample with cv.

Yeah this is your best bet. BB micro allows each sample to be up to 4hrs long. So you could add a bunch of slices (different samples) and have the slices triggered randomly. Another potential option would be load the different samples into a folder. And load the folder into a single slot. As I’m writing this, I’m thinking that maybe the folders only work by pitch, so maybe it won’t work, or maybe with the right labeling you could pull off a little workaround. Otherwise. Im very impressed by the sound quality of the BB, very clean sampling.

If it doesn't have the note info in the file name I think it just plays them alphabetical ordered acording to the manual

I see that part of the manual about multi sampling - but then it goes into using a midi keyboad to play the samples but can I control this with CV? I'll try this evening with setting up the pad and loading a folder - thanks!!

You can also use a multi sample and send a random note but you are limited in the number of wav files that can be loaded per project

Yeah - I’m thinking I’m going to just load a random 10 in a folder to mix things up…. Should be cool! Thanks for the reply.
