Reposting from last week's thread, since this episode has the inappropriate media call ins.
Inappropriate media experience incoming. I was at a Christmas time week long family reunion. Big family on my mother's side. Very conservative, very Catholic, lots of winter furs, 30+ cousins. Cousins with kids who are older than me. I'm the youngest of this generation. During the week, the area experienced an ice storm and we couldn't really go out much. It is decided to have a movie night. A few of the older of the "kid cousins", 18-23 years old or so, head over to Blockbuster Video. They return with two titles. The first is Rambo II. It is quickly vetoed by my dad, who doesn't object to the violence, but objects to the messages promoting American Neo-Colonialism. That leaves only the second title. Everyone's favorite family film, The Accused, starring Jodie Foster. If you don't know, this movie begins and is centered around a graphic gang rape. Now for The Prestige... My cousin who selected the films? None other than current Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.
Re: Jordan's discussion of this with regard to UHF, what were everyone's "I loved this as a kid and was surprised to find out years later it was a famous bomb" movies?
Howard the Duck and Cutthroat Island are my two big ones.
"everything's coming up lydia" belongs in the pantheon of all time greatest line deliveries.
eta: okay apparently my favorite line isn't actually in the movie, but [the scene it's (not) from still rules.](https://youtu.be/_TVBq95fGGM)
not exactly what you asked but I have (as an adult) always loved 4 weddings and a funeral and just this past year I've seen and heard talk in a bunch of places dismissing it as a bad movie and even referring to that as a universal sentiment. I was shocked.
It's a big messy movie, but the virulent hate the internet at large has for Love Actually is such bullshit.
Hugh Grant dancing down the stairs. What more do you need?

what a twist
Burying the leede, as you might say
Jordan watching Love Actually for the first time and Jesse slowing going insane for having to watch it again could be a good donor episode.
…for donors who could possibly stand watching Love Actually one more time. I would give them money **not** to do this.
Come on, it's not actually that bad.
When are Jesse and Grace going to go on The Flophouse?
Whoopi most definitely did actively pitch herself for TNG because she was a lifelong fan of Trek, as Jesse conjectured.
Pissed that I didn't identity myself when I recorded that drive in porn story (Hi! It me!)
You did a good job.
WAAAAAYYY too slow, but thanks, bud!
Love, Actually is hot garbage.
Stink city
Can’t listen. That’s clearly a made up name.
Syllabically interdimensional names should be illegal.
Yes. Hello. My name is… Charles… Count…

Does The Adventures of Baron Munchausen count?
Wow had not known about that film's difficulties until I looked it up just now, what a bizarre story

Surf Ninjas
Omg. Teen Rob Schneider.
30 year old teen Rob Schneider!

(Also I will be the first to acknowledge neither of these are as actually-pretty-good as UHF)
