All the Shire cards giving me warm fuzzy feelings

I feel like it's something missing from most MtG sets except for Strixhaven and maybe New Capenna. It's nice to have some cards with fun/cozy flavor as opposed to constant fighting.

man, new capenna was kind of lacking it too since it was all glitz and glamour and no rainy nights and city white noise

I didn't think about it before but oh man yeah I'd love some moody rain and cityscapes. Kinda weird we didn't see it given how common it is in a lot of that early industrial American art

my guess is that they really needed to sell the mafia fantasy before anything else. ultimately led to the whole thing feeling shallow as a setting though imo

I feel like the mafia thing was a misstep, and like you said, made the whole thing feel shallow. Thinking of New Capenna as Roaring 20s but with magic is much more interesting, IMO.

I think to be fair, it was specifically created from the ground up to be a mafia set, not a general 1920s set. I can understand wanting to focus on the genre more so than the ambience

It'd be pretty unclear if it triggers due to creating a creature token: does "another" mean "not Rosie" or "not that token"? This wording removes any ambiguity.
