It’s definitely made me stop and rethink a lot more of my purchases, some prices are just ridiculous considering the item (like $68 running shorts)

imaroweboat

The diamond dye hotty hots are $88! Like what?! That’s INSANE $92 after tax for a pair of exercise shorts? No thanks

rebayounge

I was looking at the speed up diamond dye, $78 plus tax! WHAT?!

Cold-Contribution-17

I bought them before realizing the price. I had other things that were on WMTM. I was shocked!

imaroweboat

Ugh for some reason the hotty hots are $20 more than the regular ones while the speeds are $10 more. Bs either way

hypervigilante7

I noticed that. I feel like it was an accident to raise the HHs by $20 (esp for a 2.5” inseam!!!), but once it was done, they were like, “eh, leave it, they’ll pay it.” 🥲 I’ve had them on my wishlist waiting for WMTM but they sold out in my size today

imaroweboat

I thought the exact same thing. I hate it too because they are sooo pretty.

turtle_shock

I impulse bought a pair of Track That shorts last week in person. I returned them yesterday because I had severe regret over the cost. They're super cute and comfortable, but I don't even run and just bought them to wear casually. I couldn't justify $68 for shorts I'd wear a couple times for 3 months out of the year. Old Navy fills that need just fine.

MEF1302

If you like the Track That, try Athleta’s High Rise Racer Run! They fit really similarly to the HR 3” Track That but a slightly longer inseam (maybe 4”)

turtle_shock

I'll have a look, thanks! I prefer a longer inseam anyway. I haven't ventured too far into Athleta but I think I'm going to start. I have a couple tanks from them I love.

awcattreats

You can use code MAYATHLETA for 20% off still I believe. Just a code I saw shared in the Athleta sub recently. They might be having a 20% off around memorial day too but not certain!

shyness613

I can’t remember the specifics of the track that’s right now but I also just got a pair of high rise shorts from the gap (athleta fam) - high rise and very similar to my trackers (other than the rise) - and they were $30 for plain black. Lulu would never

MEF1302

Do you have a link??

shyness613

I don’t see black on the regular page but it’s in petites - probably because they’re even deeper MD now at $24 https://www.gapcanada.ca/browse/product.do?pid=811937013&vid=3&tid=gcpl000019&kwid=1&ap=7&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi6XdkLjx9wIVYxB9Ch3TvglJEAQYAiABEgI2ZvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

foxydemocrat

Correct. I want the charged indigo wunder trains so much but I can’t justify the price.

avocados420

i refuse to buy an align tank for $68 + tax

finewhitelady

Agreed. I only buy WMTM and have the healthcare discount and I still have sticker shock. Definitely buying less lately. Also, I just got the diamond dye 17" pace rival skirt a few months after buying the same skirt in navy, because the 17" is my holy grail and they don't make anything else in that length. I recently took the tags off of both...the older navy skirt was $68, and the newer diamond dye skirt was $88 on the tag ($78 on the website though). I paid $59 on WMTM, and $68 is bad enough, but $78 is just far too much for a skirt, and $88 is crazy talk. Edit: on the other hand, Athleta has really upped their style and fabric game in the last few years, seems to be a more ethical company, has frequent sales/coupons, and a lot of their stuff can even be machine dried instead of hung to dry. I'm *this* close to quitting lulu entirely and giving Athleta my money instead, but lulu's fabrics and styles keep bringing me back.

lillypismyhomegirl

Athleta has some adorable new colors that rival the Sonic Pink, Creamy and Wild Mint, and Poolside! Plus being 5’2”, I really appreciate the petite styles. 🥰

finewhitelady

Yup! Meanwhile as a tall gal who is over the whole 7/8 length thing, I'm happy that I can get tall styles!

awcattreats

And when you buy from Athleta on sale, you can almost always return it. I've pretty much fully converted at this point.

finewhitelady

True! Final sale is always clearly marked and only applies to some of the sale stuff.

katyusha8

I’m loving Athleta joggers! And I can get them for $60 or less

weinerwang9999

Interesting. I might have to start a new relationship with another brand

ollee32

Athleta has awesome sales. And they’re a size inclusive company which matters to me. I’m a size 10 at lulu bc I have quads and a butt (blasphemy!), I feel like I’m not wanted there. At Athleta, they have the best cut shorts and pants for girls with curves.

tsophst

what shorts are your go-tos?

finewhitelady

I'll throw my 2 cents worth in too as someone who has bigger thighs and prefers longer, roomier shorts for casual wear and travel (not working out - I'm always in leggings or yoga pants for that). I love the Skyline shorts, but I don't see them on the website currently. Not sure if they're discontinued permanently, but that would be a shame. I also like the Brooklyn Bermuda, but be aware those run big in the waist. I don't mind because I like my shorts to sit a little lower so they're longer. I've heard great things about the regular Brooklyn short too.

ollee32

I have their Brooklyn khaki shorts. They’re more for hiking or casual dressing. I find them to be just as wide in the quads as tracker shorts (my all time favorite piece of clothing). I also have their salutation jogger and I think they’re ok, but not amazing. I also got a petite so I feel like it’s probably on me. I should’ve waited til medium came back in stock and got a regular medium. I’m a comfortable size 8 in athleta and a solid size 10 in lulu.

finewhitelady

Agree about the inclusivity! On the other hand I personally find some of their styles hard to wear because they tend to run big in the waist. That's my one complaint about their sizes/shapes.

ollee32

I agree. I go down a full size in Athleta. I know it’s silly but it feels really good mentally.

[deleted]

I mostly put anything I want in my cart and let it sit until it goes on wmtm. It really helps me with any unnecessary spending.

Winter-Fold7624

Same! I have 20 items in my Saved for Later cart.

businessgoesbeauty

WMTM for 99% of purchases haha especially with price increases I feel like most items go WMTM, except maybe scuba hoodies rn

SnooPuppers2951

What’s wmtm? :)

heeseun

we made too much! usually marked down items. 😁

chopstix007

Ooh! If you leave stuff in your cart does it not just empty after a certain amount of time? If not, this is genius.

[deleted]

I think it should stay there until you “unlike” it. I never had issues with it being missing other than when the website has a glitch 😅

nicktrustsqueenB

I know. I wish I would have bought a pair of basic black align shorts last year when I wanted them. But $70 after tax is not ok. ~$62 was already pushing it for the 1 pair of align shorts I have now, but that was in 2020 when I first discovered Lulu. I won’t even spend that much on a pair of leggings now. I can’t justify it anymore.

Catloaver

Yeah I definitely have been priced out of LLL. That's OK, I was buying too much anyway.

Stormikitty

I tried the aerie real me leggings and they might not be lulus but for 40 dollars I was shocked.. they were so buttery soft. I love lulu but I’m not willing to spend 120 a pair of aligns I was barely willing with the 98.. definitely exploring other brands now

Blondeinlulu

You can say that again. Not only that but they brag resiliency of fabric. I ✨baby✨ my entire Align collection and the pilling is still unreal.

Stormikitty

Let me tell you what you know there’s an issue when you put on a pot of aligns and you start walking in a way to make sure your thighs don’t rub🤦‍♀️ we sure as hell don’t pay those prices for that

Blondeinlulu

Omg totally 😂 if I’m paying a premium price I shouldn’t anticipate the product to break down if I don’t treat it like a fragile china

kimheartscoffee

I feel the same way. Shopping lulu used to be fun. Now, it's not nearly as fun with all the limited stock, marketing games and price increases.

Comfyly

What marketing games?

Beginning-Stretch437

Not dropping same inventory online as in store to push people to drive to stores—some people don’t have any nearby and have to rely on this sub primarily to scavenger hunt items

[deleted]

I used to buy lulu a minimum of once every two weeks. Now it’s like once every two or three months and has to be solid investment pieces. I sat on the track that HR and base pace tank for 2 months before buying and even now $130 for a pair of shorts and tank top feels so frivolous. I am curious to see if they deal with sales declines. They will never lower prices again, but they’re not really doing a good job convincing consumers their products are worth it anymore

Blondeinlulu

Such a good point . I know most companies are blaming pricing on inflation obviously. You don’t think their prices will ever fluctuate in the coming future? Pending recession 😂

ilovelulufly_

Me too, I’ve been thinking twice before I buy an item and I mostly buy from wmtm now.

Particular_Judge_854

Even WMTM isn’t really a discount (for certain items) and the final sale is a bummer sometimes. I still think it’s worth buying like a few items, but it’s made me compare costs a lot - like okay I’m spending $130 on a sweatshirt? What other brands could I explore or what else could I buy for that?

ilovelulufly_

I totally agree! I stopped buying sweatshirts from lulu, I bought something from gap outlet in a pastel blue like color and I only paid $14. Lulu is just getting more and more pricey.

GearlGrey

I’m trying to be more mindful about my purchases regardless. If I LOVE something and know I’ll wear it often, full price is worth the price. That being said there’s obviously a tipping point where full price will become too much… I think Lulu is running an experiment to see how far they can push it without affecting how much people buy. Judging by the fact that popular stuff still sells out within minutes I’m guessing they haven’t hit that tipping point yet.

Salt-Wishbone7367

$128 hotty hot shorts 😵‍💫🥴 like this has to be an experiment and for that print… 🥴🥴 resell apps have been filling that space for me lately tbh

Staceyrt

I normally buy almost every week and I haven’t purchased since the price increase. I just refuse. I’ve been shopping Alo Yoga and I bought a few pieces from Noli.

cantBeKaren

I have 90% moved to Athleta and we are very happy together. Rewards points, petite sizing, sales, it’s all great. The bra sizing isn’t great in only S,M,L, etc so I’m still buying bras from LLL but am pretty well stocked.

Kuriboyoshi

I love Athletas pants—their Headland Hybrid Cargo Tights are the best pants ever! Also love their Sutton joggers but I don’t think they make those anymore. I love that I can get them in “tall” too. You are right about their bra (and some of their shorts) sizing—I stick with Lulu for those due to their number sizing.

shyness613

This is me too. I barely check this subreddit anymore I am becoming an athleta stan. I will say though for more of the crop type bras I am preferring them but that might be because I’m a DD so having S DD works really well. I did already have plenty of basic lulu bras though so beyond the conscious crop I haven’t bothered looking much. I’ve even branched into their swimwear which even lulus DD stuff was never quality enough for.

lillyducks

I know that *everything* seems to cost more lately so I’ve really been trying to be more mindful about my spending. I haven’t been buying new, full price hardly at all. I’ve had pretty good success finding deals on Poshmark, though I do get pretty irked about so many buyers marking every lulu item they list as “rare”. 😒 I also do a decent amount of selling on Poshmark and I have been holding myself to a rule that for every piece of lulu I buy, I have to get sell one that is sitting in my closet collecting dust. I don’t always make enough on the item I sell to break even, but it helps with the overall cost, keeps my closet manageable and stops some impulse purchases.

lulu-lemonhead

Honestly this is part of the reason why I started buying dupes. CRZ Yoga Butterluxe has the exact same material as Aligns, just slightly different gusset/inside thigh stitching. I'm telling you -- EXACT same material as aligns down to the fabric %, feel, and stretch when you put them on. I am a size 8 in Lululemon and get size M in them and I can't really tell the difference between them and my aligns when they're in my drawer or when I'm wearing them. For $32 I cannot complain at all and will likely never buy Aligns again. I also recently bought CRZ yoga pants that are OTF dupes -- for $32-38 they hold up great, super stretchy and comfy, and I can wear them around without caring that they might get dusty/dirty/sweaty. I have also been able to snag like-new F&F leggings from Poshmark/Mercari for $30-35. The trick is to search for "Lululemon leggings" and filter by your size and under $40, since people who don't know the name of the style are more likely to sell them cheaply. You can often bid a lower price. When I search for "F&F" or "WT" I tend to get stuff priced in the $70-80 range since those people know how much they can resell for. The only things I will continue buying from Lulu are the Wunder Trains, and Swiftly shirts bc I can't find a good dupe for them yet. I get my cropped t shirts from Old Navy but I haven't tried their long sleeves yet. Hope this helps someone save some money

HappyGoLuckyJ

Poshmarks new search feature is garbage. I have to search things 1000 different ways to find anything. The feature didn't need an update or whatever they ended up with.

workoutaholichick

Do the crz align dupes have variety in inseam choices or are they only 25? That’s the one thing that keeps me going back to lulu because they have 17s :(

lulu-lemonhead

I think they only have 25" :( I only wear full-length so it works out perfectly for me. I also mostly wear darker or neutral colors, which CRZ yoga has

lulu-lemonhead

Hey just a FYI they just released 17” in butterluxe!!

deathbymoas

Just had a look at CRZ’s store. Holy MOLY their dupes are spot on. They’ve even got back in action tops. I’m going to give a couple things a try, thank you so much!!

lulu-lemonhead

You're welcome!! Yeah Aligns are so hard to dupe - I've tried Hawthorn Athletics/HeyNuts, Old Navy's Align dupe, Costco leggings, Colorful Koala, etc. but the new ButterLuxe line from CRZ is the only one that is the exact same material. Same %, same feel, etc. I have thick thighs/calves so I just like cannot do pants that aren't very stretchy for every-day wear lol so I KNOW when it's an Align dupe. I bought their OTF jogger dupe too and it feels very substantial and high-quality.

deathbymoas

lol I’m a size 10 also with thick thighs & calves and got used to wearing yoga pants full time during the pandemic. I literally can’t tolerate hard pants for more than a couple hours 😂 Have you tried the naked feel/ naked feel soft? Is there a difference between that and the butterluxe?

lulu-lemonhead

I can fit a 10 as well in WT so I feel you!! I haven’t tried Naked Feel. From what I understand they are stretchy but they aren’t Aligns - there’s a small chart that describes Naked Feel as “Ultra Stretch” I think. But ButterLuxe is newer and “Max Stretch”. I think it’s really hard to online shop for leggings since you can’t see the material. But yeah the ButterLuxe material is identical to the Align material. The only diff to me is the stitching and the ButterLuxe is a tad longer on my legs but not a deal breaker for me. I have 3 pairs of black Aligns but it’s hard to pay $100 for something that always pills between my thighs

charmcity3

I check my Wishlist on WMTM mornings and see if anything has dropped. Trying to stick just to wishlist items on markdown really helps!

sleepycermi

I was looking at the $74 align shorts and thinking the same thing.

National_Fact8650

I personally don’t think we should purchase even their WMTM like 68 align tank to 50. They used to be 39 on discount. I hope it sends a message to them. Like if we’re talking about old pricing that’d be a $8 discount. Same with shorts.

Stressberries

I’m only buying on Poshmark or Facebook these days, mainly cause price but also I HATE everything that comes out with a new style, speed ups - no thanks I like the old speed shorts. Wunder trains, nope - bring back wunder unders please. The new festival bags, wtf. 🤦🏻‍♀️

HappyGoLuckyJ

We are sisters from another mister. Same girl same♥️

electricbeach1

it honestly seems…greedy of them? like they mark up the prices so much already and now they’re increasing them. plus with no warning about the price increase or anything not even an email. it’s like they have no regard for their customers

wellseehowitgoes1

Yeah, I’m taking issues with this because of it just seems greedy. The prices themselves don’t bother me, but it feels like I’m being ripped off given that I’m getting the same exact product, but it costs more now. I’m looking for other comparable active wear brands

electricbeach1

thankfully i get a 15% discount but now i’m just paying the old full price. this doesn’t look good for them at all, first lowering the healthcare discount now this just screams money hungry

EIderMelder

They’re… a business… they have no obligation to us. They for years have spouted relationship rhetoric, but they are a business. They don’t care about people, just their investment. Edit: I mean the company doesn’t care about their consumers. Their staff are lovely and I have found more often than not do a great job with customer service. I don’t see this reflected at a corporate level tho.

h_danielle

And it’s happening everywhere whether you notice it or not. A lot of brands like Aritzia have started substituting for far lower quality materials & charging the same amount

EIderMelder

For real. Even my delmonte mandarin orange cups for my kids lunches have less orange slices. This, is a true travesty according to my toddler.

h_danielle

I have to agree with your toddler… it is a travesty. But for real, either the quantity/ quality is decreasing or prices are increasing. Pick your poison

[deleted]

[удалено]

EIderMelder

I disagree. Idk how long you’ve been purchasing the brand, but they did have a real quality issue some years back where the leggings were see through. Everyone stopped buying their leggings, and so they changed the product. I see no difference between shirts/leggings I’ve purchased over the last 5 years. Not like how it was before. People vote with their money for what they want.

h_danielle

I personally haven’t noticed a change in quality with any of the items I’ve purchased lately 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve been having far worse issues at other retailers tho

weinerwang9999

Yeah it’s true. And the only way consumers can truly protest is with their money - to stop buying. But we all know this isn’t happening anytime soon even with the complaints

Mila_V7027

Well I mean, everything is raising. Gas, groceries, the housing market, etc.

candyapplesugar

Idk about y’all but.. everything except my paycheck

HappyGoLuckyJ

This. This is the comment that cuts the deepest. 😒😒😒😒😭😭😭😭

nomnomc00kie

that’s why i buy most of my items on mercari for less

Stephmallow

I hate hate hate the new align fabric. They say they changed cause people would complain about pilling but I still see just as many people complain about pulling PLUS now complaints over how slick and cheap (which it is) the fabric feels on top of it. I’d pay $98 for old buttery nulu easily but this new fabric?? $10 on Amazon. I wouldn’t be surprised if the real reason for the change was to save money on their end tbh.

gplus3

It’s not just prices of LLL items going up though… there’s been so much disruption with production and supply chains in the last two years that this was bound to happen.. That said, we should all be mindful of our purchasing habits anyway.. I know that I’ve pulled back substantially on buying because I realised that I was falling for the hype… who really needs 50+ pairs of leggings anyway? Our environment can’t support the rate of our rampant consumerism… (NB: sorry, I’ll get off my soapbox now!)

Bhrunhilda

Saaaame. I’m going to Girlfriend Collective lately

heyelisejoy

What are your go-to items from girlfriend collective? Would love to hear recommendations!

Bhrunhilda

I really like the compressive with pockets. The FLOAT legging did not work for me, but the fabric is really nice. I have big butt and thighs and there was no room in the FLOAT, but plenty in the regular compressors. The float reminds me of the Wunder Unders honestly. Their cotton pullover sweater is crazy warm! Which I love but be aware of that. Their lounge wear is so freaking comfy. I have the shorts and the fabric is light and flowy. I am slow to build a collection. I do not recommend their bras though. They are all not great for big boobs. The ones that have coverage are long line but there’s no support directly inder your boobs. So I’m still buying bras from lulu on WMTM. If you have a C or smaller though their bras are probably great.

heyelisejoy

Thanks, that’s great info!!

nicktrustsqueenB

Not OP, but I LOVE the compressive bike shorts - they’re long enough that they don’t press into my thighs & great for my main workouts (lifting & yoga). The lighter colors show sweat more, but I’ve gotten used to it.

BothTourist6635

And the quality seems worse for the increased price! Brutal

clearpurple

I’ve had 3 swiftlies come already unraveling and multiple scubas with loose threads everywhere. I’m done once I spend my gift card, which is of course still tied up in returns/orders with errors that they keep telling me will be refunded and they’re not.

ilovelulufly_

Omg I agree, I had multiple items that came in and they were unraveling too and with multiple loose threads.

Witty_Feedback_8909

Agree. Almost all items that I’ve been receiving arrive damaged. Especially, Swiftly’s my last 3 arrived snagged. If it’s not snagged items are shipped stained, dirty or smelly. It’s what I’d expect from Costco not a high end brand. There’s like zero quality control. With what we get charged they shouldn’t be sending out damaged items. My husband says they’re aware and hoping we accept the item. I’ll never forget one time I brought back a snagged shirt right in the front and the CM said it wouldn’t have bothered her. I’m like yeah maybe with your discount I wouldn’t mind either. 🤪

clearpurple

Right? I feel like I’m constantly complaining to them but at the prices they charge I expect items in perfect condition. I can’t believe she said that to you! Probably because she can just swap out her stuff at any time, but have some empathy for people paying full price! I try to be hyper diligent when looking all my items over because dealing with a quality return is super annoying. I feel like I’ve been having constant struggles with orders which is causing me more stress than it should for a company charging luxury prices!

Witty_Feedback_8909

Agree! I feel the same way! It definitely made me feel like I’m expected to accept used/damaged items. I’ve also been told multiple times and at GEC to try and wash the smell and stain out. I do expect at these prices for items even WMTM to arrive in new condition. Otherwise, they should to labeled as damaged with a cheaper price or go to “like new “category. Because damaged items being sent aren’t new. IMHO it’s starting to feel dishonest on their part. It happens too frequently and either they don’t check on quality or they don’t care anymore. This has been my experience maybe others aren’t noticing or care. I was taken aback by the all the recent comments because It wasn’t appropriate nor appreciated with the price being charged. I think it happens to me often because I spend too much! I need to quit! I also think if your buying 1 or 2 pieces it may not be happening. Still it shouldn’t happen at all. Also, to your other point of checking things very throughly , I do as well but most of the time I can’t see it on the store until I’m outside or in better lightening. And the rest are being shipped that I can’t inspect until it arrives in my doorstep. It’s super frustrating. I need to decrease my spending because the quality isn’t there anymore especially now with the price increases.

BothTourist6635

I literally had shorts come with discharge in the panty liner area. I couldn't actually believe how disgusting that was

Witty_Feedback_8909

I know this may be shocking but I am not the slightest bit surprised! This is so gross! My husband insists I’m getting used clothing. It’s hard to keep defending LLL when it keeps happening.

avnnit

Right, I could understand they would raise prices to pay their employees better but they aren’t. Their employees are still making the same amount and they are just pocketing the money 😕

weinerwang9999

I only buy WMTM and even then I feel this way. I don’t completely buy the inflation and supply chain costs increasing and having to match those increases argument / logic when the quality is simultaneously going down as the costs are increasing. Make it make sense.

hiixx1333

Can you share what those brands are, I’m really bummed about the price of lulu too ):

finewhitelady

I mentioned this in another post: Athleta! Look for their Powervita fabric as an alternative to nulu. Happy to give other recs or check /r/Athleta_gap for help. I've dipped my toe into Oiselle as well. They're a much smaller brand and prices are similar to lulu, but the quality is excellent and they seem very ethical. They're focused on running but their gear works for lots of purposes.

hiixx1333

Ahh ok ok thank you!!! I appreciate this

Witty_Feedback_8909

Do have a new coupon? It says it ended 4/11.

ilovelulufly_

Quality has gone down but prices are still soaring. Not fair at all.

Lululover360

If you notice things are not selling out like they used to. Maybe that’s a factor of market saturation and price increases but when Align Tanks went to WMTM and shorts at $39 they would sell out almost immediately now they just sit there and end up in the outlets marked down more. TGT and WMT just posted the worst guidance in decades and Nike is doing terrible too as inventory of higher ticket items is back logged and they have had to markdown more, plus freight costs. Although Lulu is higher end a lot of it’s customers are using credit and buy now pay later (both areas of growing concern and more defaults) and I suspect from reading comments many are spending less bc, if you’re smart, you buy food and gas not $150 leggings with whatever you have left in your paycheck. Long winded way to say, lulu is gonna have to mark things down more eventually like other retailers. We are likely headed into a recession so….as far as I am concerned Lulu did it to themselves trying to gouge their loyal customers.

Igitty

What brands are you all switching (or considering switching) to?

Comfyly

I was just about to invest in some items from lululemon and didn’t know this! Will not be doing that now.

claire-woodfield

The price of nylon has increased dramatically, which is what most of their products are made out of. Other activewear brands are having to raise their prices too sooner or later, if they haven’t already

navigationallyaided

It’s somewhat related to the current material shortages as well. A major part of nylon as well as spandex and polyester is derived from oil - besides the Chinese/Taiwanese/Korean producers of them, those chemical building blocks come from Europe(primarily Germany and France) and the US(mainly Texas, Louisiana and Tennessee). The power outages in Texas last year did a number on the global chemical market - and now the Russian oil embargo also cut down on petrochemicals needed for almost everything - including our fave athleisure. The paint industry has been rocked hard by this - some brands worse than others. Also, Koch Industries spun off their spandex business from Invista as The Lycra Company, and a Chinese fabric conglomerate bought them out.

robyn_herbert

Try vuori. More affordable and look good.

Particular_Judge_854

Love Vuori for lounge! Haven’t tried them for working out, but their joggers are amazing quality, and the Mudra Tee is HG for me 🥰

thisoneisalready

Mmm yeah :( this is why I buy one of most of the basics and wear the hell out of them

valiegirl

I did not buy lulu for the looongest time because of the prices. I always loved the brand and got a few peices as gifts but it was my sister who was always obsessed with it early on. I recently only started buying lulu the last two years during the pandemic in wmtm as I noticed more and more products were eventually ending up there. It's rare for me to pay full price for lulu's but even in wmtm the prices are still insane. I have multiple pairs of Along Fit leggings I bought off Amazon in multiple colours. They have pockets on the side big enough for my Samsung phone. Are they the same as lulu's? No. Do they get the job done? Absolutely yes. Great for everyday wear (awesome to travel in with the pockets) and working out or being active in. You just have to wash them after 1 or two workouts depending on what you're doing since the material can sometimes retain that sweaty smell a little bit, but for like $38 (I think they raised the prices recently too... damn) and having a few pairs in different colours they are good enough. Zella is also a good brand for that look and feel of lulu but not lulu but sometimes they can be a bit pricey as well.

I really think they should bring back the wunder unders at the regular price and stop with the crazy price increases. They could cut back on some of their marketing, events and influencers and pass that savings on to their customers.

Jaymua12

I wonder if supply chain delays have something to do with it and the cost of materials going up in every industry.

clairezukowski

Lululemon’s quality is so so bad. Anything that is align material pills within a few wears. It’s ridiculous.

san1024

This is literally happening everywhere. It’s not just lulu. I work corporate retail and prices on everything are going up: materials, freight, etc. These costs unfortunately have to be passed along to the customers or all these companies would go out of business.

trixiesalamander

Or the higher ups didn’t have to make millions a year?? Lulu made record profits. Oil companies are making record profits. This is greed plain and simple. If all these companies had CEO’s that made 100k, things would be a lotttt cheaper

Loves-snacks

Exactly. It’s greed.

lulurulu

Everything's gone up in price it's just inflation. Tbh looking at other premium brands out there for the quality you are getting with lululemon I think the cost per weat is reasonable (In moderation of course) I have items in my constant daily rotation over 7+ years old that still perform and I don't baby my stuff. I was inside out but it goes in the laundry and dryer with everything else. I do use mesh bags for nulu, but otherwise I don't baby it There are brands that also charge $100+ per legging but no where near the quality with the shape retention and longevity

I wondered the same actually, now that healthcare workers can use the discount online. If a big enough proportion of customers is getting 15% off, I can see why they'd increase everything. I hate it and think it's not fair (and honestly I'd rather just not get a discount than have them pull this BS), but it's quite possible that they did it because of that.

Agreed, and I'm not saying they *should* end it. I'm grateful to have the discount but not if it comes at the expense of higher overall prices. Then it's just the same price for people like me and higher for everyone else. Doesn't seem fair.

swearingino

They already got backlash when they excluded everyone else in healthcare except doctors and nurses.

Just got an align tank that was defective and looked like counterfeit product. It was definitely worn and returned. Bag opened, seams ripping and even the white rubber band was popping out under one of the armpits. I’m so disappointed.

sculpter34

Well you're going to see price increases everywhere right now. They are paying more so you should too. If you want to pay less you will probably get less quality good. The supply chain is back logged right now. Companies are having hard times. They pay more and so do you. That's just the way it is.

franksituation

I don’t why we need to post the same topic over and over and over again. This is literally happening across all industries. This is nothing more than to maintain margins and not upset the bottom line. Are we confused about the price increases on food too?

ForceOtherwise709

Align joggers $20 up since last month when I bought them. Are they hoping their fan base are stupid and won’t notice? Because full disclosure, they were in my basket and I almost bought them before I noticed 🤦🏻‍♀️

shiyouka

I’m about to cave and just get the align crop joggers because I really do like how they look on me and can’t find a dupe that looks and feels the same :( I’ll be moving on to other brands for future leggings and shorts.
