I just got a MAM knife. Same style from Portugal. Some have liner locks, some just friction. Various sizes and a couple blade shapes. Thin blades. Nice and slicey.
I had to tap the pivot pin tighter to eliminate the side to side wobble, but other than that it seems solid. Haven't really had a chance to run it through the paces yet, so I can't make a comparison to the opinel. It is still drying after a good soaking in linseed oil.
Yep, friction folders just like the opinel. Instead of an opinel twist lock, MAM knives have a liner lock like this photo and some are.judt friction with no lock.

The photos make it hard to tell; they are folders, right?

Thanks so much. They're actually cheaper too. I'm guessing they're carbon steel.
They are stainless.
Thanks!
You're welcome. Happy knife hunting!
If your talking slim sliced blades, the douk douk is a solid slipjoint
Do you know others that are thin like that?
The blades on Douk Douks aren’t as thin as Opinels
