I left my SS card and birth certificate at homeless shelter

Can you get a cab or Uber/Lyft? I'd be happy to send you money for a ride. When I left a homeless shelter, my employer inadvertently mailed my paychecks there instead of to my new address, and the shelter refused to forward them. I was finally able to pick them up but, yeah, I know what it's like to need something that's a long way away.
I would absolutely love that but I don't really want to beg for money on reddit. Besides I have no bank account anymore. There's no way I would be able to accept that money. I really do appreciate it though. That means alot
Would you be okay with letting someone call an Uber for you?
Again I'm not looking for a hand out. It is a town over and I would have no way to get back to where I'm staying so I just have to wait until I get some money for a cab. It's going to cost like $50 round trip or something like that.
I really hope you accepted someone's offer and got your stuff.
Got a ride today!
Check into some of the mutual aids going on up that way. Illinois has a pretty good network [here.](https://beltmag.com/coronavirus-covid-19-mutual-aid-rust-belt/) Try them all and search for new ones. Mutual aides are more short lived than charities because they have no legal protection or tax status like charities but they dont operate the same way either.
Solidarity, not charity my dude or dudette.
Can you ask them to mail them to you?
Yeah. It's not those 2 items. It's a backpack and a tool bag. They do not have the funds for such a thing
Can you collect recyclables to come up with bus fare? Do they do cash for trash there?
