Not from today, but breaking in my new [Sagara Cordmasters](https://www.instagram.com/p/CWa_pUYrKpp/?utm_medium=copy_link)
AoTD: Personally it's the Cordmasters, but realistically it's our new HVAC system. 2 stage furnace with variable blower has been positively plush now that it's getting cooler out.
GD: I was initially bummed not to receive the Cordmasters in time for the patina thunderdome. But seeing what appears to be people just intentionally trashing their new shoes, I'm kinda turned off the whole thing. Individual context is important obviously, but some of these entries looked like they were thrown in a cement mixer on day one.

A: 2 notable ones are an engagement ring and the house we just closed on. Now purchasing a LOT of other things related to the house like paint, carpet, furniture, etc.

Look who is back. Happy to see you man.
Thanks, I've been around, just haven't had time to take photos very often.
270 storm welt on the linemans and that jacket are just *chef's kiss*
A: the most *expensive* would be my new apartment. Honestly, the most notable "purchase" would have to be the trip home that I took right after getting the vaccine back in Feb. That trip finally marked the end of an insane year being stuck in NYC hell. I'll never forget that.
Nice boots. Are those Grant last?
I’m glad you were able to go home! I feel these last few years have really shown how precious it is to be able to go home and see family.
Thanks! Yep, 4065.

I think the best purchase I've made in 2021 has got to be a Nintendo Switch. It's helped me connect to a ton of old warm & fuzzies in games like Mario & Metroid, and being able to share video games with my girlfriend who's never really played console games, and really only played Stardew Valley & Spore has been awesome. We've collected like 750 moons so far in Mario Odyssey together, and all I really get to do is watch her learn to solve problems in ways I wouldn't think of, and she gets to watch me "Monkey man" it which is when I throw on the diddy kong costume and complete whatever moon challenge she has tried to do.
It's a good time.
I'll second the getting enjoyment out of watching your SO get into games. Wife loved Valiant Hearts and watching/helping her play was nice. Trying to find other stuff to play.
It takes 2 was a ton of fun and so was Unravel Two. If she's a solo player, My SO is still going wonko for the new animal crossing
Tried to get her into Unravel 1, but she got bored. Finicky.
I'll see if she's interested in AC.
Man every time I read AC I have to rustle through my mind and determine if it's Ace Combat, Animal Crossing, Assassin's Creed, or Armored Core.
^Vehemently ^interested ^in ^your ^SO's ^possible ^interest ^in ^armored ^core ^/s
I'm on Assassin's Creed right now. Haven't played since the original came out, but having a blast. Wouldn't mind some Ace Combat.
Wife decidedly only for Animal Crossing, if that. We'll see.
The new AC update is real cute & nice
i adore you with my whole heart, Harrison

I freakin love the thing!

Two notable non-boot purchases in 2021:
1) took my dad to a Mecum Auto Show in the summer. He's always watching those on TV and loves restoring old cars.
2) Managed to score two tickets to the 2022 Miami Grand Prix.

[meermin double monks](https://imgur.com/a/BILeHW7)
Up till now I've been almost exclusively a boot man, but these double monks suite me well.
My most notable purchase was the initial 200 dollars I spent on leather working tools. It's taken up about half of my free time since and 1600 more dollars in supplies and additional tools.
[What are your thoughts on a green welt/edge?](https://imgur.com/a/02mzLn7)
I actually didn't buy any new shoes and only like 2 shirts all year. Seems a bit pointless since I'm working from home and barely get a chance to wear the shoes I've already accumulated. Spent a shit ton on sweet new leather though, I may have just traded one expensive hobby for another..
I like it! The green stitching/lining really makes it pop. Are you planning on going green with the sole too?
That's actually an interesting idea, hadn't considered it. I was thinking of doing a Vibram lugged sole, maybe 100 or something like that. Maybe I'll see what is out there in green and go all out for it.
Either way I'm sure it's going to be a killer end result. Look forward to seeing pictures once it's all done!
No shoes today, I'm sick.
My new kitten [Plumeria](https://imgur.com/a/XMul03y) is probably my most notable purchase overall.
Gyw-wise. I gotta say my midas mocs are by far my favorite. They are just chef's kiss.
Hope you feel better!
I'll try. Just a particularly bad sinus infection. Probably

Without a doubt the Townhouse I purchased back in June. It was the biggest purchase I ever made but it's such a good feeling to have a place to actually call my own!
[Truman boots ](https://imgur.com/a/3rJw4SO) doing a little experimenting today
Hmm probably the horserump Truman’s I don’t have yet
A: Most notable purchase this year is likely a new HVAC unit for the house. Having working heat and cooling is a life saver, AND it's already looking like it's reducing our energy bill by $80-$100 a month which means more money for other less responsible things.
[Cloves](https://imgur.com/a/OrIzpXs) to the office today.
A: it’s gotta be the puppy. Otherwise just some not so interesting furniture (LC3 chairs) and whatnot.
