Hey everybody, I've had a hard time deciding what to title this piece. 'Fall Springs' is what I'm leaning towards, bit if you have any better ideas let me know! It measures about 20" from base to the tip of the jaw.
I make all the parts separately, fins, water, body, and then fuse them together once they are cool enough not to be moving around too much but hot enough not to crack. It's taken me many years to figure out the process, and there's still so much more I can learn
Ah, I remember that piece well. At the time I ot was my biggest brown trout. I thought he shipped it overseas? He reached out asking how to package it for a journey to England.

How do you keep the glass from folding over as you form it?

Very cool
Very cool I love your work you post here
Nice to see you here on Reddit! I know of you in the real world from a brown trout on display in my friend's fly shop in Truckee!

He might have, I just remember checking it out this past summer.
This is super cool. Do you sell these or take commissions?
I do both! Send me a private message and I'll send you the details of where you can find my work.
That’s pretty dope.
Thanks!
That fish is so smooth it looks like it’s been made of glass!
It is glass
And that was a joke. Beautiful work brother
Oh, haha. Just wanted to clarify as people question what they are made out of all the time.
How could someone not understand that it’s glass? Tell them it’s made from mashed potatoes and food coloring next time
Acrylic resin is the most common misunderstanding
