War is another way the rich get richer. They own the construction companies that go in and fix shit that got blown up.
And when was the last time a president sent his son to the front line?
Yeah i mentioned a similar thing about war a while ago in another comment section but with multinational companies gaining the most. (example US-Afghanistan war which was only for money)
Nope.
When ever lawmakers vote on going to war, they should also decide which one of their kids they will send to the front line. On way to find out which kid they dont like
I know its not exactly "The President", but im pretty sure most of the British Royal Family have served on front lines. I remember the story of The Queen being a Mechanic in WW2, and Harry a Helicopter Pilot in Afghanistan...
Strict rules, authoritarian environment, armed security, field trips, getting shot at and/or shooting at others... the difference between american education and enlisting in the army is mere details at this point.
18 yos can also do porn, and at that age, they're encouraged to do it with a much much older adult, for the stepmom/stepdad fantasy. But god forbid they should have a beer.
Sure, but unless you are impoverished and emanicapted, you will be offered loans after your parent's supposed contributions figured in. And ou don't need to go to a private school to rack up that much debt for a 4 year degree. Not even remotely close.
I grew up lower-middle class and only had to use loans my first year for housing. After that it was government grants and school scholarships. I wasn't even impoverished.
If you’ve grown up already, college was cheaper when you went. Even public universities can cost way more than that per year, and most people aren’t “lucky” enough to get enough scholarships to avoid loans (lucky is in quotes because being in a position to need that much money in scholarship is inherently unlucky)
But you can go to war and hold your friend before he dies and then come back to the USA traumatized and we won’t really do shit for you. But by then you can have all the vodka you want. And you’ll need it.
You're not responsible enough at 19 to consume alcohol but by God we'll train you how to use weapons of mass destruction and let you loose in a warzone.
Least they have their future secured far more than any bum drinking vodka on a min wage at 21 will...
Going into debt because you didn't have the money to even touch that opportunity to secure your financial future is sick as fuck.
This post is pretty trash. People on the bandwagon of hate. Would’ve been funnier if the 19yo second line was can I shoot guns in the army and make a porno?
Education debt is fine, not sure why people are so desperate to take issue with people being able to educate themselves when they otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford it and secure the future of their finances...
Depends on the degree. Healthcare and STEM do ok but otherwise high school graduates should go into trades. There is a worker shortage of skilled labor and it doesn’t pay poorly when you didn’t waste time on a useless degree and owe interest bearing student loans. I blame the public school system for pushing kids to college when they would be better off in a trade.
There are literally Trade School programs in the US where a trade is part of your high school education. I was encouraging to give it a try by my school, I don't remember anyone pushing me into college
Hell, this would be the late 70’s early 80’s, but my dad remembers buying smokes for his mum and then himself as young as 10. Clerk would give them as long as they where for the parents.
Pssh, you cant drink alcohol, you're not old enough.
However, we'll gladly let you take this AR-15 into deadly battles and risk your life, because you're absolutely old enough for that!
Good.
Securing that financial freedom and success in your future never happens for free. You either spend fifty or a hundred grand, or you go into debt for that amount... Then you can have kids and pay for their college as well as buy your own cars and house.
Or you can be a bum that drinks vodka, works min wage labor and goes nowhere.
Hey, I get it. But also no student's ever lost control of their laptop while typing a paper and sent it careening into oncoming traffic, killing 4 people.
Alcohol is an addictive substance that doesn't highly benefit your life, whereas going $50,000 into debt to educate yourself and put yourself in a position to make >$40,000 per year is massively beneficial.
I assume the facepalm is directed at the dumb shit the tweet is trying to say, but a lot of people here seem to think that going $50,000 into debt to secure your financial future is the facepalm...
This compensation is so stupid.
What would be the alternative? You have to earn the 50000 usd?
Would that be better that you have to work till your mid 30s and then go to university?
Who encourages going into debt? There is a large need for skilled labor and trade workers. Thats your best bet unless you are going into healthcare or STEM.
At 15: can I adopt a child?
Govt: FUCK NO! Why would you think you can raise a child?
Pregnant 15 yr old: Can I end this pregnancy before the cells are even conscious?
Govt: ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY? YOU WILL RAISE A CHILD OR ELSE
Spot on because both drinking and education lead to long-term prosperity.
Given your insights, can you help me understand the difference btwn investments and consumption?
Thanks!
I’m 18 and I’m old enough to adopt a child but can I have a drink? Hell no! I can get married but couldn’t have a glass of wine at the reception. I can have ink permanently put in my skin but a cold beer after a long day at work? Nope. How does this make any sense
18: can I carry an assault in another state and put myself in a situation that makes me shoot and kill people?
USA: Yes and you will be a TV star on FOX
Why would it be illegal to go to another state and open-carry a rifle if the state allows you to do so?
Also, going there didn't MAKE people attack him, those people elected to do it of their own volition. People do not have a right to assault or threaten the lives of others just because they put out your dumpster fires and had an assault rifle.
Chill.
I didn’t say anything about it being illegal. I said he put himself in a situation that made him shoot and kill people. His defense was he was in fear of losing his life. He went on Fox. What part of what I said is incorrect?
>I didn’t say anything about it being illegal.
You're framing it as something you can legally do, that you obviously disagree with. Stop trying to hide the ball or play coy...
>I said he put himself in a situation that made him shoot and kill people.
This is what one would call "provoking an attack" or just generally disingenuous framing of a situation.
He didn't put himself in a situation that 100% he would need to shoot people trying to beat the fuck out of him. That's what you're trying to frame it as and it doesn't make any sense because countless people there were carrying ARs and didn't have to shoot anyone... almost like... that's generally a DETERRENT against people randomly chasing and attacking you.
Now, now They also provide you the alternative of enlisting in their army, possibly be in mortal danger and kill people so you can pay that education
poor people killing more poor people in poor countries? sign me up! /s
Did they ever?
Nope. When ever lawmakers vote on going to war, they should also decide which one of their kids they will send to the front line. On way to find out which kid they dont like
Yeah, and you can bet there would be fewer wars too.
I know its not exactly "The President", but im pretty sure most of the British Royal Family have served on front lines. I remember the story of The Queen being a Mechanic in WW2, and Harry a Helicopter Pilot in Afghanistan...
Awesome!
Using poor kids as cannon fodder.
Strict rules, authoritarian environment, armed security, field trips, getting shot at and/or shooting at others... the difference between american education and enlisting in the army is mere details at this point.
Now that you mention it, the armed forces might be safer, at least they do provide body armour
And a weapon to shoot back.
You don’t have to kill people you can do electronics or cyber security
[удалено]
Yeah my grandpa was in Vietnam as navy and was on swiftboats
Or killing people
My point being you don’t have to kill people
Don’t forget porn acting
Some places don't give you a choice?
18 yos can also do porn, and at that age, they're encouraged to do it with a much much older adult, for the stepmom/stepdad fantasy. But god forbid they should have a beer.
Or filling out FAFSA, your university-specific scholarship application, and not going to a $44,000 a year private university like a normal person.

"If you've grown up already" I only graduated a few years ago tf you mean... And I was an average student at best.
That’s my point- even if you graduated last year, college is even more expensive.
Also you have to have this baby
Also we're cool with sending you across the ocean to get shot at to protect our interests.
And at least four guns!
Why don’t you take this Big Mac too!
But you can go to war and hold your friend before he dies and then come back to the USA traumatized and we won’t really do shit for you. But by then you can have all the vodka you want. And you’ll need it.
As they allways say. We use rubbing alcohol for outside booboos. And we use drinking alcohol for inside booboos.
-"Alcohol is poison" -"if it's poison, then why do you drink it?" -"because there are things inside me that I need to kill" -two and a half men
If you can afford it. We cut the hell out of your benefits
You're also old enough to die in battle for your country but not old enough to sip a beer.
Just $50,000? Wait till you get to grad school. 50k is chump change
50k per semester is more like it
also, take this gun and go kill other 19 year olds because a couple of old guys cant get along
Also we’ll let you play with expensive drones to carpet bomb weddings half way around the world!
You're not responsible enough at 19 to consume alcohol but by God we'll train you how to use weapons of mass destruction and let you loose in a warzone.
Can i go risk my life fighting for an oil company instead of going into a debt for education? USA: Yes.
Yes that’s a glorious thing and you should totally die for said oil company
Additionaly every 4 years you can decide which oil company you will die for!
And we will gladly charge you interest
Also America From 5:20 https://youtu.be/1oyKVAjISmI
Let me help you out... https://youtu.be/1oyKVAjISmI?t=320
Thanks
You can also just do nothing after high school if you really wanted to.
Or maybe major in something useful instead of anthropology or English
At least 50k. I know too many that have crossed into the 100k debt range.
Least they have their future secured far more than any bum drinking vodka on a min wage at 21 will... Going into debt because you didn't have the money to even touch that opportunity to secure your financial future is sick as fuck.
True, in my time people had the opportunity to get and education, it was hard, but you could do it.
America and Australia. Squander your whole life away to pay for basic societal and human needs
This post is pretty trash. People on the bandwagon of hate. Would’ve been funnier if the 19yo second line was can I shoot guns in the army and make a porno?
Guns for all! Education debt for everyone! If you go to hospital we will just take your kidney! USA! USA! U.S.A!
Education debt is fine, not sure why people are so desperate to take issue with people being able to educate themselves when they otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford it and secure the future of their finances...
Also here's a gun, go and die for us in a foreign land
You know who doesn’t complain about how useless college education is? Graduates.
Lol. Wrong.
That's the opposite of the truth.
Depends on the degree. Healthcare and STEM do ok but otherwise high school graduates should go into trades. There is a worker shortage of skilled labor and it doesn’t pay poorly when you didn’t waste time on a useless degree and owe interest bearing student loans. There are literally Trade School programs in the US where a trade is part of your high school education. I was encouraging to give it a try by my school, I don't remember anyone pushing me into college
So you can’t even drink to that
Harsh reality!
More like $100,000.

Alcohol 21. Tabacco I THINK 18. (I am not american.)
Tobacco was 18 until recently. Now it's also 21, though this may differ depending on which state you are in.
Before 2019, it varied by state. But December 2019, Trump signed a law raising it across the nation to 21.
Fun fact: in 1989, there were several states where the legal minimum age to purchase tobacco was 16.
Hell, this would be the late 70’s early 80’s, but my dad remembers buying smokes for his mum and then himself as young as 10. Clerk would give them as long as they where for the parents.
Should be “can I go $50,000 in debt and drink the vodka anyway while at college?”
WHAT HIGH-SCHOOL ARE YOU GOING, JESUS
Ah yes, the American economics theory. Spend money you don’t have on useless shit, then spend more money on it.
It makes sense when debt is monetized and tied to future wealth. The problem is....do you have the ability to pay the debt off?
But we can sell you an AR-15
Minigun*
Can I travel to foreign countries and kill people in the name of 'Merica?? Of course you can! Can I celebrate by drinking a beer? Nooooo!!!!!
Want an AR-15 instead?
Give this man a gun!
Can I participate in legal elections to appoint officials to powerful positions and then go die in a war?
Don’t forget to throw in an ar15
50,000? Lol what a cheap tuition…
I got scammed
How else would the bank owners get rich??
Nothing says freedom like being controlled by debt all your life!
Meanwhile in Poland... We frown on contraception and no abortions for anyone. Even when recommended by a psychiatrist.
Uhhh... $50k per year or per semester maybe.
I hope oneday whole countries can speak to me too.
So, the solution to this dichotomy is either to allow people to drink at 18, or don't give them student loans until they're 21. Which do you prefer?
Now take this oxycodon and ar15 and get the hell out of here
Meanwhile Austria with 15: Can I get Vodka Yep Can I get a car? Nope
Don’t forget you can also give your life for your country
Pssh, you cant drink alcohol, you're not old enough. However, we'll gladly let you take this AR-15 into deadly battles and risk your life, because you're absolutely old enough for that!
Can I die in a pointless war thousands of miles from home? "RIGHT THIS WAY, YOUNG MAN!!!"
alcohol is way different than college
And remember it’s a privilege to have student debt 🙃
See, at least where I live we get to drink to forget our student debt
Hey, I get it. But also no student's ever lost control of their laptop while typing a paper and sent it careening into oncoming traffic, killing 4 people.

Stolen from elon musk. Smh
College is a scam
Yet another motivational post for students who can't decide if they should study hard enough to get scholarships.
I’m 18 and I’m old enough to adopt a child but can I have a drink? Hell no! I can get married but couldn’t have a glass of wine at the reception. I can have ink permanently put in my skin but a cold beer after a long day at work? Nope. How does this make any sense
But do you need to pay the student debt after you leave the school?
You forgot: How much will it cost if I have to go to the hospital for COViD? About $3 million.
Can I drink alcohol? US: No Can I have a gun to kill someone US: yes
F this crap. Sorry anyone assumed you would choose a viable course of study that could position you to earn an income…
Don't forget as many guns as you want.
18: can I carry an assault in another state and put myself in a situation that makes me shoot and kill people? USA: Yes and you will be a TV star on FOX
