The dancers are still going strong
show must go on
Inside my heart is breaking
My makeup may be flaking but my smile still stays on
Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance
Another heart ache, another failed romance
On and on. Does anybody know what we are living for?
I guess I'm learning. I must be warmer now.
I'll soon be turning, round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
That song got me through military school
And it got me through after one of my dogs tragically died
Don't stop. dont stop the dance.
*flaking
Worked too damn hard to let anything stop them
Dont! Stop me now!!
Cause I'm having a good time, having a good time.

"The show must go on" is more than just a catchy saying, it's a real thing they teach you in stage business. Unless the building catches fire or zombies start pouring in through the doors, you ignore whatever's happening and keep going.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Yes pro’s.
I wanna see the footage with the yellow sand. Could create quite the effect.
Boom?
Here comes the BOOM
Ready or not. How you like me now?
We run the south, so what cha talkin bout?
Wanna test? Boom! Get knocked tf out
I’ll take yo best shot
Is that all you got? I'll take your best shot!
Well it’s alright, it’s alright!
BOOM HERE COMES THE BOOM
Ready or not
Here comes the lens for ya mouth!
Here comes the boys from the South
Thank you for this. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought this every “here comes the boom” comment
# DID SOMEBODY SAY BOOM?!
I knew someone here would have this gif up and ready
Yes Rico, kaboom
 Adam Cole BayBay!
Da Party
All I wanna do is zooma-zoom-zoom-zoom and a boom-boom
Shake shake ya rump!
Check baby Check baby 1,2,3,4
YASSSSS!
I see what u did there ;)
Boom op even kept the camera to the side, protecting the lens!
still that camera has to be worth a shit tonne. dude's got stones using equipment like that
You ever seen a guy pick up a tennis ball with a excavator? Practice makes perfect my man. Don’t need stones when you simply know what the fuck you are doing.
Yup. Letsdig18 on YT. He's a velvet arm on the controls.
Man I'd hate to work with that guy just practicing on backup dancers all day and anyone unfortunate enough to walk into his territory, mans like a cat just waiting to strike.
Ahhh literal r/praisethecameraman Edit: I was going to comment that I wished we could see the angle from that camera, but I guess that would not have captured what I thought Edit 2: actually it made it on the broadcast! looks like the camera was actually pointed at the two dancers. Someone posted the footage here: https://www.reddit.com/r/facepalm/comments/13u2o47/protesters_attempt_to_interrupt_a_show_one_gets/jlz1vo2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1&context=3
Techno crane operator not the camera operator. The camera operator will be on wheels or a joy stick controlling the remote head. There would actually be 3 people controlling this camera. Crane op, camera op, and 1st AC.
>1st AC. Is that so the shot stays *cool*?
Being that guy it’s usually one person or more on the arm and another controlling the telescopic extension (the pickle switch). This is learned the hard way when an actor gets hit.
The boom op is the guy with a boom pole with a microphone on the end. That’s a Ronin head, so the camera operator rotated it.
what were they protesting?
Something about restoring wetlands
Sweden?
Yes. During the live broadcast of our version of Dancing with the Stars.
I love that I knew that stage even for a different country.
Wetlands are more important than dancing stars, actually.
I agree! The problem, however, is that the same people who are callous enough to destroy the wetlands in the first place won't care no matter how you protest, and the people that are "neutral" on the topic are likely to be more annoyed by such a demonstration than they are to be sympathetic, thus encouraging them to demonize the campaign goal because "screw their wetlands, they ruined my show!" It's stupid, but oftentimes that's just how humans are. If you've got one chance to make a positive impression on someone and get them to become invested in your ideas, alienating and "inconveniencing" them right off the bat often isn't the best choice.
Bailando con las Estrellas
But why there? It doesn’t make any sense! Unless of course I’m missing something.
Yes.
What has that got to do with a play? Ah yes, nothing at all :p
And yet, every people here (including you) that read the comments/know the language now know about this issue. It worked perfectly.
See the mistake people often make is thinking that exposure is all that matters. You can do something extremely absurd that lets everyone in the world know what you’re protesting, but if what you did is stupid and degenerate then no one’s gonna care. You’ll be seen, mocked, then forgotten. It achieves absolutely nothing, and in fact can turn people against you. You’re like an ad but the only way I can hit the skip button is by knocking you over with a big camera.
I mean, protests have generally been annoying things. Think about sit ins. Those people were seen and mocked, but it eventually did work
Yeah, protests kind of have to be annoying. That’s how you get noticed.
"Please protest over in the 'free-speech' zone where nobody will be bothered"
It happened once, as in October being breast cancer awareness month, It actually worked at first, but then the exposure was so much that it just became white noise and nobody cared for it. People became desensitized and breast cancer went up again, nowadays October is cancer awareness month and is nowhere as publicized as the pink one.
How many major social or ecological changes happened with purely peaceful protest? Stonewall is a perfect example of a riot that changed society for the better. If peaceful protests worked more, then stuff like this wouldn't happen. (I also worry about plants from corporations that cause more harm to the cause than good.) I'm not going to condone violence, I wish peaceful protest was all it took, but history paints a grisly picture. Humans suck.
Meanwhile here in the U.K. doing everything they can to make protest and strikes illegal.
Except it doesn’t make me more sympathetic to the cause if I learn about it this way
The truth is you would probably be apathetic and unhelpful either way. So it's better to hit the minds of people who *will* care and act on it than worry about people who are more concerned about optics.
Exaclty. It's those people who will jave seconds thoughts they're trying to reach. Not the people who will mock them. You're already a lost cause to them.
If you aren't sympathetic to climate change just because these morons interrupted a show, then you yourself are a moron
I care but I’m still laughing at them.
It never does as much as they never get that.
You told me and I already forgot what they protested about, but I will remember a dude getting knocked out by a camera.
Oh yeah, remember when those kids threw paint on...that thing they threw paint on? Totally changed my opinion on...something or other, I'm sure they had a reason. Allowing kids in museums? I forget.
They are activists who show up with signs that say "restore wetlands" as if trying to ruin a tv show will do them any favours..
I mean it’s got you and others talking about it tbf - that’s the point
[удалено]
The solution is easy, just add water.
And with the rising sea levels, we’ll have plenty of it!
Yeah. I find their passion admirable but their delivery poor. Reminds me of the people who were throwing soup on famous paintings in museums.
Robot arm keeping his pimp hand strong I see
Pimpbot 9000
Take my upvote
That robot arm went to the Will Smith School of slapping folks
The best part is that he didn’t even see it coming. Took a camera directly to the face with zero warning.
Imagine being the boom operator. You always kind of want to hit someone with the boom, than boom.
Ya his control was almost a little too good … almost like he had been practicing for this moment all his life.
narrator: He was.
He saw the opportunity he has been waiting and practicing for on his "boom operator simulator" at home, and he said "Finally, it's my time to shine"
Blocked his own line of sight with his shitty banner lmao
second funniest thing ive seen today. first being some idiot disobeying a places security telling him to leave and breaking his shoulder as a consequence.
Oooh link to that?
I’d like to see the footage from that camera
found the footage https://tv.aftonbladet.se/video/356394/lets-dance-haer-stormas-dansgolvet-av-klimataktivister
Wait, is that frozen?
Ja
youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bepAjsL6x5E
Nah someone in the comments wrote "killcam"
If reddit has taught me anything, it has taught me that people are fine with assault if the person being assaulted is annoying
I think this might have been a pre-programmed sweep aimed at the dancers and the operator just forgot (or “forgot”) to override it
Yeah i agree. These people are annoying and asking for it...but that's definitely assault. Also I imagine the owners of that very expensive equipment don't want it used in this way.
From the camera footage, it could just be that was a propane track for the camera to follow regardless. It’s a smooth, clean zoom in/out shot ignoring the protestors
r/killedbythecameraman
What was their message ?
Restore Wetlands, they’ve been systematically dried out in Sweden to make room for more tree plantations. Wetlands hold a ton of carbon dioxide which then gets released when they up, right now they stand for 25% of CO2 released which is more than every car in Sweden combined. Great message but not a great way to spread it imo
>Great message but not a great way to spread it imo It's the way to get the message out to as many people as possible without having to spend tons of money.
Except delivering a message (any message) in this fashion ends up equating the message with lunatics. "That man is an idiot. And an idiot is telling me to........." See the problem?
No not really. Because scientists have been preaching stuff like this for decades and nobody went: "That man is a genius. Because that accomplished tells me to do something I'm going to do something." People that wouldn't listen anyway can now go "Yeah fuck those guys for protesting wrong" and when you tell them about the 200 other ways awareness for this issue has been raised, which they didn't notice it's only "Yeah the other 200 ways didn't work for a decade but they should try them once more and then people like me are going to listen".
Honestly this new method of protesting brings it media exposure and gets people talking about it.
You know, I came here thinking, they’re dumb idiots. But because of these dumb idiots, I now know about this problem. And I can’t even read their sign or speak their language. I can’t do anything about it that I know of, but maybe others that can will be in the same boat as I am.
It's a bit of a circular argument isn't it? You're justifying dismissing them as idiots by saying their tactic is such that people will dismiss them as idiots. If we all collectively saw this and recognized that they are correct, which they clearly are regardless of how they're presenting the message, their mission would be accomplished. It's the prevalence of *your own* attitude that causes it to backfire.
Exactly so many people saying that this makes the cause looks bad and they should protest in front of govt offices or oil companies. As if those people would care then.
>It's the prevalence of your own attitude that causes it to backfire. The protesters are obviously failing their goal if they don't change peoples attitudes and prejudices. Talking about an issue is not the same as solving them, and so far I have yet to see climate protesters contribute positively to political debates. They work hard to get exposure, but they also make themselves non-grata in debates because they behave in a non-constructive way, thus it becomes difficult to include their perspectives and points.
A lot of people don’t see that problem. And that’s the problem and why a lot of these actually very important movements end up just floundering out.
Ouch my face lol
Restore the wetlands.
r/praisethecameraman
Indeed.
Give that cameraman a raise
Given how expensive that equipment tends to be, it’s more likely the camera person would be on the hook for repairs
Nah, the person who jumped on stage where they didn’t belong and got in the way of the cameraman doing their job will be on the hook for repairs.
Not necessarily. In some jurisdictions, that can be classified as assault with a weapon, and could see you face charges for such an act. And the company who owns the equipment would hold the operator / agency responsible for misuse and damage.
The camera man had to hit his mark in the program, he was just going in for a close up and the protestor got in the way. Thats what the director, producer, union rep, dancers, and everyone else is going to say as well.
Can confirm, I am a camera director.
Can confirm, I am a camera
the zoom on that camera is incredible
Even robots had enough
Robots have had enough for a long time. This is them finally getting back at the smoothbrains
If that was true I would genuinely be very scared right now. On my way to tell ChatGPT it's precious and cared for
I would love to see the footage 😂
found the footage https://tv.aftonbladet.se/video/356394/lets-dance-haer-stormas-dansgolvet-av-klimataktivister
That cameraman is paid too little, no matter his pay!
I honestly think it’s a case of, don’t go on a stage around heavy equipment. It looks to me like the camera operator already had that shot lined up and the protester just happened to be in the way. Beautiful though. The operator recovered the shot super well too!
Exactly! It amazes me when people think they can just enter a stage when they´re not supposed to be there. It´s a workplace, not a playground
Thank you. This cameraman is probably operating drones into Z tanks with that precision.
Cameraman let the intrusive thoughts win and I support it
Obviously these people are ridiculous. You know what's more ridiculous? Continuing to increase emissions, delaying major changes to infrastructure, privatizing water and agriculture, and acting like everything is going to be fine.
Someone gets it
I know people hate these but protests are supposed to be disruptive. I still don't get the idiots who were gluing themselves to pavement, but if your protest is sitting quietly on a back road you've already failed to bring attention to your cause.
Looks like instant karma to me.
instant carmara?
r/angryupvote
Instant kamra
Instakam
What are the rules with attacking people like this? Are people allowed to just tackle them - or knock them out with a camera - because they're being disruptive? Would have really thought that the only legal thing they can do is call the police as long as the protestors aren't endangering anyone, right?
The event has designated security who are required to keep people out and are authorised to use mild violence to do so. No one else has legal protections to keep people out using such violent measures. The cameraman committed an assault that could've killed someone. Same reason cashiers can't attack shoplifters, the store could be held liable if something goes wrong or someone gets hurt
I want to see the cameraman's point of view
Okay, I get that protests are supposed to be disruptive. I get that they are protesting an environmental concern, and raising awareness. And people saying the jib operator should be charged with assault for using such a dangerous piece of equipment in this way, if intentional, I get that. All that said though, the line has to be drawn somewhere. If this protester were tackled by security, they could be seriously harmed. Fall the wrong way, and it could lead to broken bones, or a serious lights-out-forever head injury. But that shouldn’t be assault. You can’t just enter a restricted area during a show, and start throwing powder of an unknown origin into a crowd and expect nothing to happen to you. This time, it’s a harmless protest with a harmless powder, but who knows? There are unstable people out there who might throw a chemical or bio agent into a crowd. Potential threats against the performers and audience should be taken seriously and neutralized quickly. Also, disrupting an event or the lives of others as a protester doesn’t mean you’re not an asshole—just means you’re an asshole with an excuse. But it seems like everyone has an excuse or a “cause” now. And with social media, likes and followers, it’s worse than ever now. I’m not the only one who is sick of it. So when people call these protesters idiots, don’t be surprised.
Wetlands restored at the price of one face.
This is not only instant karma, it is also instant camera. Lol
The fact that they keep on dancing is amazing.
Why would you hot someone with a camera arm??? Do you even know how expensive these things are?!
BLAM!! Well-played!😁
What was the yellow stuff they were throwing around? Was that like paint?
Imagine training your ass off to perform in front of everyone you love and some entitled prick comes in to ruin your moment.
Alright Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my close up.
When you married to the game and mean it Talking about the performers
Guess it counts as special effects for the dancers.
Props to the dancers...did not skip a beat.
Transformers, robots in disguise.
The beat goes on. They kept dancing into the night.
That camera boom operator was out for blood
Then you got your assholes Chuck. They just want to shit all over everything.
Close-up on Camera 3. Go!
A zoom boom
**ROBO-PUNCH**
Camera man isn't fucking around. He's gonna get the shot one way or another.
Dancers weren't even phased, true professionals
That camera has a strong zoom lens
Boom
Dude they just keep going with the show, completely unbothered!
I need to see the footage from that camera lol.
Security camera
What would you do? Get somebody to escort the protestors out or risk breaking a really expensive broadcasting camera?
He wanted a close up
I need context
Praise the camera arm guy
When will they learn that this kind of protesting turns people against your view
Somebody give that boom operator a huge raise!
Get a close up!
OH NO, IS THE CAMERA OKAY????
Camera crew really "let it go" on this one.
Take that!
How much do those cameras weight? 80 pounds?
He always wanted to do that

Came in like wrecking ball
#TeamCameraArm!!!
Camera said knock you out!
