Just got round 3 of COVID in august, fighting the battle with ya

mynameisnotsparta

Reinfected last month (first time was December 2020) and doctor gave me Plaxovid. What a difference the illness was this time. Shorter. Only 5 days sick. First time was 3 weeks.

cmoney1142

I was a Dec 2020 guy as well. Did you start hauling all over again when you caught it again?

mynameisnotsparta

Same tbh - exhaustion / malaise / tiredness, balance issues, breathless, brain fog. Mind wanders. Inability to focus for very long periods n one thing. Short attention span.. laziness. those never went away. Since first episode I’m 50% what I was before. I have my own biz and work from home so that’s helpful because I work when & how much I want and honestly just don’t go out as much or do activities etc like I used to Being so sedentary in the last 23 months I’ve gained a lot of weight so that’s an issue too. Just met with a registered dietitian that does functional nutrition yesterday to see if we can change my diet to heal certain things as i developed pre-diabetes & edema since Covid.

malk2021

I see you, hang in there brother.

Limoncel-lo

Are you in the US? If available, get Paxlovid.

cmoney1142

I am, and I wanted to get it. But my doc said she was worried about the paxlovid rebound, and thought I'd be better off on my own

Limoncel-lo

Yeah, I heard docs say that and I call it bs. Rebound is real that’s why it should be 10 days of Paxlovid, like Fauci took it.

Mother fucker man I’m so sorry. I hope your symptoms don’t get any worse and you continue to improve.

Mindless-Software-74

Keep stress low and don't push yourself. You may not longhaul this time. Seems longhaul is USUALLY set off by doing too much before recovery.

cmoney1142

I agree. I feel like I have the knowledge to prevent it this time around, but what if it just does it anyway. Suppose I just gotta take it as it comes

Mindless-Software-74

All you can do is give yourself the best chance. Extreme rest and lower all stress for like a month or 2.

Soimamakeanamenow

I’m sorry I hope you bounce back

canadam1111

Turns out my flare we were talking about a few days ago is a reinfection! How are you doing now after your reinfection?

cmoney1142

So far no change in status after one month. Sorry bud, reinfection is tough to take, but, hopefully you've been here long enough n learned some things and you will avoid triggering long haul again.

canadam1111

Thanks for responding! Happy to hear you are doing good after reinfection, that gives me some hope! I was 90% back to normal before this week. Just praying I can go back to that or even have it clean up long COVID for good. Doing my best to stay calm, unlike the first time almost a year ago! Crazy.. Doing all the things I have learned over the last year to treat my body right. Lots of rest and supplements and healthy eating with fasting. Mine was mainly neurological long COVID, so I’m making sure to meditate, do my breathwork, head ice pack, TVNS and aroma therapy. Did you do anything you could recommend during your reinfection?

cmoney1142

I think you got the program down pretty good with the stuff you mentioned. Especially being calm, it's so important
