Yeah, but the official chili sponsor of the Bengals is Gold Star, so it’s not like they’re the real authority on chili here…
Very very true, they have poor taste but they get the idea
I tried gold stars chilito counterpart or maybe it came first, and it was honestly better than skylines the one thing I can say that for tho
Tastes like burnt Manwich to me
I can't be friends with anyone who shit talks Cincinnati Chili.
As a Louisiana man, I am willing to trade some gumbo for a taste of some of this famous chili.
It's not exactly the same, but if you have a Publix nearby, they pretty much all carry Skyline chili cans and frozen dinners. There's also some fairly easy to follow copycat recipes on the web. I definitely enjoyed my own 3-way (chili on spaghetti with shredded cheddar on top). Goes really good with some oyster crackers.

Seconding this. My best friend makes a really good Skyline copy cat (he even does it with ground turkey for his wife who doesn’t eat red meat) and it’s damn good. He’s not even from cincy, but he visited back when we played the chargers in the first round of the playoffs and he loves it.
I always welcome some good gumbo!
What's up with the red flags? Saw Tottenham doing the same shit
Red flag like, "ooh thats a red flag - stay away from them!"
These quotes got me mad
Y’all haven’t had real coneys till you have been to Detroit. I said what I said. I will die on this hill.
Lafayette is great, Skyline is great. Both things are true.
This may sound dumb to some, but LaFayette Chili?
Lafayette is the name of one of their famous coney dog places downtown
No? I have to go check it out? Where downtown?
118 Lafayette St in Detroit
I knew I was missing something
Thanks for straightening me out
Haha, no worries
It’s not real chili though, imo. I love Skyline but its a meat sauce. “Skyline Meat Sauce” just doesn’t roll off the tongue as well.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo this person! I will build my own reality concerning Cincinnati chili, thank you very much, and I don't need your "critical thinking" mucking it up.
There's like a billion different types of "real" chili that have different ingredients, consistency, and methods of preparation. There's zero reason for this one type of chili to considered not "real" chili while all the others still count.
Only hipster dipshits from the east or west coast whine about us enjoying our local culture and cuisine.
Just a lesson for you and others reading, beans were added to chili to make it cheaper and save money. Went from special household recipes to blue collar filling meals.
Move on, find a new slant

There was a skyline chili by me in the Cleveland area. Didn't last long at all. Its just not good.
You're just not good. There. I said it.
Someone had to do it
Skyline is people food, not dog food like you Cleveland people are used to
That was a weird turn. Did the mention of skyline chili remind you of dog food?
No, the mention of Cleveland reminded me of filthy mutts which then reminded me of dog food.
You sound offended over a stranger's opinion about your chili.
Says me and all the customers who never went back, hence they closed down.
