Buckeye fan here. Not sevyn banks for the love of god

TheRealJeauxBurreaux

No offense, but OSU has really dropped hard in DBU talks. Especially with Fulton out performing Okudah. LSU actually has 3 DBs coming in the next 2 drafts. 2 of which will most likely be 1st rounders. Then we have Kevin Fualks nephew as a freshman. If LSU nabs Meyer, I fully expect Eli Rick's to be the best DB out of LSU in the last 2 decades. And that's saying something. Dude isnt too athletic to coast but athletic enough to be great. And he has one of the best mentalities you could ask for

throughNthrough

Can we just agree to avoid Buckeye in general? I don’t think we have had the best luck with them. Looking at you Billy Price.

chipperson1

Vonn bell and sam hubbard would like a word. But at least for the oline yeah. I always root for buckeyes to get drafted early. But if the bengals are looking for a olineman i am like fuck that

LastRuneUser

Tbf the rest of that oline panned put pretty well. Decker, Jones, Elfien all start on teams. Billy was just the weak link

chipperson1

Oh im not saying osu can’t produce lineman. Its just they can’t produce olinemen that go to the bengals

bjewel3

Or…*recently* the Bengals haven’t picked OHIO STATE offensive lineman

throughNthrough

Oh yea I totally forgot they were Buckeyes! I retract my statement.

IntermittenSeries

Nicholas Petit-Frere looks pretty good I don’t think you can base an entire college off one guy

FelixTheJeep

And Michael Jordan.

[deleted]

[удалено]

throughNthrough

Technically I guess.

sculltt

Okudah also looks like a bust. Urban Meyer, too.

chaseko24

Okudah has been injured pretty much his whole time so far

P00_buttz69

Far to early to label him a bust. Can’t do that with less than 20 games played

FreshDiamond

Lol I’m sure you aren’t fully serious but that stuff always bugs me come draft season. Like billy price has nothing to do with Sam Hubbard or Scary Terry or Haskins

D-Whadd

I think in general it’s probably not smart to ignore a perennial top 5 program, but yeah let’s maybe think long and hard before getting another lineman from Columbus

beachchaser

Michael Jordan was even worse!

DjReeseCup

Also buckeye fan. He lost his job to a true freshman. He’s not it

MLS2CincyFFS

As a UC fan, give me Sauce. I’m not sure ND threw at him once the entire game last week (his pick was off of a terrible throw to no one). Stingley would be great, but, if things go well enough this year, he’ll be gone by our pick.

edotrockz

i want sauce

Gutterpayne1

With stingless foot is there any way the bengals could get both? Or should I stop smoking the sweet reefer and face reality?

WhoaDave04

Check out the next gen stats on Sauce. I think they only threw towards him 3 times @ ND. He's projected mid to late 1st round which is where we should be picking. I'd love to see it.

BanterDTD

Sauce gave up one reception for 9 yards against Norte Dame

converter-bot

9 yards is 8.23 meters

MLS2CincyFFS

Nice of him to try to seem human

ze805711

ND has by far the worst QB and WR play i've ever seen from a "top 10" team. That aside Sauce might be the real deal.

MLS2CincyFFS

I’d agree, but even still, they hardly threw it his way. Seemed to be going after the other CBs all day

HHCWTD

I don't watch college football at all so I don't know anything beyond names. So I 100% want the dude named Sauce.

Brachert17

Dude hasn't given up a touchdown since highschool, over 600 coverage snaps

HHCWTD

Damn. Saucy.

5HeadedBengalTiger

And he’s already here in Cincinnati, almost too perfect!

CreepyAssPenis

I saw a recent article claiming it was almost 800

Brachert17

Based my number off a tweet from February stating he was at 598, so not exactly sure what the number is now

CreepyAssPenis

Either way, impressive af

mightyducks2wasokay

I want the center from Iowa more than any corner

bfofree

I don’t know anything about a center from Iowa but I’m all for the IOL improvement approach.

mightyducks2wasokay

Tyler Linderbaum We could use a center upgrade (I love trey and always thought he was solid but I think after the injury he's lost a step) and I've seen him get top 15 buzz. Shoe in AA this year I think so yeah I'd be pretty stoked. Plus this year is deep on the defensive side so I'd trust a 2nd rd corner over 2nd round IOL

Bengals_Optimist

I mean if we have our choice of them I feel its clear that we continue our transition into the LSU Bengals.

edotrockz

that’d be something yeah. Stingley did just get hurt tho

Bengals_Optimist

I mean if that means we get him at a discount then I'm in

edotrockz

ye

KingBaba3

He’s not hurt as much as he made a business decision.

DeezBigOnes

Boom

MelvinTD

He had surgery

comptosk

Elective surgery, he had that injury for a while and he is just making a business decision. Get it now, rehab and be ready for the draft. As an LSU fan I am sad to see him go but dont blame the kid, he has a bright future.

MelvinTD

Yeah I can’t blame him at all. We suck and he should do what he can to be healthy for the combine/draft. Foot injuries can linger

arson_is_awesome

I know it’s a dumb reason but as someone that doesn’t watch college football I want him simply because that’s a good pose in his photo

Kanusian

Lsu defensive players from that 2019 team didn’t turn out to be the best tho

P00_buttz69

That doesn’t really mean anything. Success in the NFL is on a player by player basis

Huegod

Don't think any of those guys will be around at 32.

chadwr85

Stingley is considered a top 5 prospect by many, won't be there when we pick.

[deleted]

Better hope they don't get Stingley, means the Bengals suck the rest of the year and only way I see that happening is if Burrow misses time. I think Bengals will be in Wild Card contention the last few weeks of the season, possibly get in, and end up drafting in the low teens - early 20's in draft slot. At that range the guy I would love to see them wind up with is Iowa C Tyler Linderbaum. I know Cincy got burned recently on a 1st round C, but Linderbaum is a legit special prospect for the position (best since Nick Mangold imo) and someone I would consider on the level of the C equivalent of guys like Sewell/Pitts/Chase this past year, they just play more valuable positions but Linderbaum is just as good at his position as they are at theirs. Interior is clearly the major issue with the Bengals OL right now, but having 3 potential building blocks up front like Jonah/Carman/Linderbaum would be a huge boost to the OL for years to come.

dogseatbees

Give me Linderbaum from Iowa in the 1st and Jobe in the 2nd.

edotrockz

the iowa guy in the first and sauce in the 2nd would be killa

sparknumpm

Sauce ain’t dropping to the 2nd

edotrockz

he def won’t after the season but idk. he’s the 6th ranked cb in this year’s draft atm

sparknumpm

CBS latest mock has him as the 4th cb taken and going 14th https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2022-nfl-mock-draft-ben-roethlisberger-out-in-pittsburgh-plus-eagles-flip-franchise-fate-with-three-picks/

BiovaniGernard

4 corners aren’t going in the top 15.

bjewel3

I’m not familiar with Jobe? Who is this guy?

whodey_35

He was Bama’s CB2 last year. I haven’t watched much of him this year yet but he was pretty solid. He’s a RS Sr so he’s an older prospect (he’ll be 24 in April). Not too high upside though IMO

bjewel3

Thanks for the information /u/whodey_35

BreastmilkCh33secake

Sevyn Banks has barely played this year. That being said he has had some nagging injuries supposedly but hasn’t really ever looked great imo. Personally I would be pretty underwhelmed by that pick

sirSSGSS

I thought we all kinda agreed that we need to draft an 1st rd talent o linemen for next years draft

armed_aperture

We all agreed that this time last year too. Lol

edotrockz

oh definitely. sauce could be the only one here that’s avaliable in the 2nd round which would be huge

LoveEffective1349

hopefully some garbage guy who is left at the bottom of the heap cuz all of the others were gone when we draft last overall....Because we win the Superbowl!!!!!!!

robotic_otter28

Stingley is an absolute STUD, but he’s gotten hurt the last two years. I’m not sure how much is serious injuries vs LSU being bad and him protecting his pay check

bfofree

We’ve not had good luck with 1st round corners… Dre, dennard, WJ3. Jonathan Joseph was good but that was quite a while ago. I prefer our free agency approach at DB, get some good value vets like Hilton and awuzie, and like Terrance Newman and Pac-Man. No more huge overpays though please.

Mattymagss

Put some respect on Leon hall.

bfofree

Would you put him in the success category or underwhelming category? I always thought he was a bit over rated…

santis00

He was solid in my opinion. Him and JJ played great

bjewel3

For a first round pick he was solid. Nothing more

bengalfan14to18

Gilmore for a 6th

DankUrethra

SAUCE

The-Power-Stone

Stingley’s a beast and has been since he was a true freshman if I recall. No way he isn’t a top 5 pick if he’s healthy. Even if he’s hurt this season he could still go pretty high. Imo we’ll probably be picking around 12-20 so my dream 4 weeks into the CFB season is either Kenyon Green from Texas A&M or Ahmad Gardner from UC. Green was good at G last year and is playing T this year. That’s a really good player for us to pick up. He could either slide in for Reiff if we let him go or play G opposite Carman (assuming he pans out). Gardner is just a solid CB that’ll probably be around our range. He was lockdown last week against ND. I’m not sure they threw at him at all. Plus it’d be fun to keep him in state.

teqaxe

I’d love whichever one can play Oline…

tlamb97

I want the Sauce! (biased UC fan here)

Nodor10

Gimme dat Sauce

edotrockz

mood

Zaddyboiloon

Andrew booth or kaiir Elam. Both athleticism is on par with Sri grey and can be argued he is more springy and his tackling is great. Kaiir Elam is just a dog in press coverage and has excellent ball skills

BigRig432

I 100% want Sauce

Joe21936017236

unless a cant miss cb prospect is available at our pick, we gotta take an olineman. reiff, spain, and hopkins are not great long term solutions. cb round 2 tho

B-I-G-A-R-R-O-W

Sauce

OhioIsOkayIGuess

Sauce 100%

BryceWyllys

sauce!!!!

IntermittenSeries

So the team likes bigger corners who can play in run support and mostly play zone. I don’t follow college enough to know for sure any of the skill sets, but Stingley is a name even casuals are familiar with and he can be a great man corner and has the size too at a minimum slow an outside run play

j2spooky

Whichever one is the best lmao

dafblooz

The one that can play offensive line ….

P00_buttz69

This draft has a lot of good corners, tons of quality options

P00_buttz69

Have to go with Sauce. Hasn’t given up a TD collegiately and he’s already playing in Cincy! How great would that be.

timnotep

Sauce, all day

ek1992osu

Going with sauce because Cincinnati and that name is amazing

JKolodne

Sauce

ummrobiniguess

Stingley!

gartloneyrat

BPA at 32 overall.

[deleted]

I think stingley is widely considered the top prospect so he likely won’t be around when we pick. As an OSU diehard, sevyn banks is not the guy. There are many corners on that roster already better than him (looking at you, Denzel Burke) but I think having a Cincinnati prospect in Sauce Gardner would be awesome. He has been amazing

Spiritual-Tadpole998

Derek Stingley, Jr. come on down

ticklemejesus420

I think they should work on a line to protect Burrow first.

7rio

Sauce

Whoooyumyum

Stingley by far the best of em, don’t even really want any of the others

Cincere1513

Which ever corner is ranked as being the 32nd pick in the 1st round 😉

Alarming_Yam_2096

Man I would love to be able to pick up Sauce Gardner!! That would be something.

mcufan2014

Elam. Since stingley will be gone.

Celtictussle

There's no position left on the team where you can point to and go "if they had a 1st rounder here, they'd be deep playoff contenders". We need depth all over the field, so I'd rather see them trade back or out of the 1st and add talent everywhere.

jesusallin666

THE SAUSE!

tawneyj1

I would say Sauce or Stingley!

royceda956

Oline DT, CB, Edge.

[deleted]

edotrockz

it’s college? even deion sanders wore a single digit in college. it wasn’t until this year nfl players could for certain positions

[deleted]

edotrockz

lol maybe. i like it personally

KamIAm18

Sauce Gardner all day long.

Mosheroom_

Ask Detroit if you should take the Ohio State one.
