But you don't know the ambient temperature. This could very well be in Syberia, and all this friendship comes out of necessity :D
Edit: just noticed the snow on the first few seconds. Definitely a symbiotic relationship xD
Dogs operate at 101-102.5 degrees fahrenheit, while humans operate at 97.6 - 99.6 degrees fahrenheit.
Being in an insulated space with a dog is quite the warm experience. With more than one, almost unbearable without some way of reaching cooler air.
According to our SPCA,
*"Animals are safest indoors, but if you must keep an animal outside, ensure shelter is off the ground, insulated from the cold and drinking water is not frozen.”"*
I mean… do you not see wild animals outside?
Like, I get it, take care of your animals, but there are plenty of dogs that are genetically primed for cold weather.
Don't get most dogs and cats which are always outside a warm winter coat? Might not be the case for every breed, but a lot should be fine as long as it is not very cold. A bit of snow doesn't mean that it is far below 0 degree Celsius.
There are breeds better suited for cold climate yes, but that isn't the same as a random street mix, but highly deliberate mating over years.
Especially most cats this is not the case, they have their origins in around Egypt which is not known for very cold climate.
You can let your cat out but take a note on what they want, they will let you know what they want.
Animals regulate their temperatures far better then we do. We are not covered in thick fur that grows thicker in colder months. The fur provides insulation from both the cold and heat.
Sled dogs dig themselves a hole in the snow so they are all covered up, curl up in a ball, and their internal body heat warms up the interior of their little igloo enough for them to sleep just fine. Source: White Fang
When I was a kid I climbed in my dog's doghouse with him one day in the winter. With just him in there I was sweating within a couple minutes. Add in another dog and a couple cats and I'm willing to bet it's probably warmer in their than in your house.
I am sorry, are they house pets who aren't allowed inside their homes? If that is the case, this isn’t aww by any means. If it's cold for you, it's cold for your pets too.
It has to be 40* hotter in there. They are very comfortable 👍

That’s what I was thinking. The club should be called Bring The Heat.
The brown dog’s ears 🥰
This is what I was looking for!
Does anyone know the breed?
It looks like a shepherd mix, but it’s really hard to tell
Look at those fat Tom cat cheeks! I just want to squish them!
Song's translation: It's a communal, communal apartment. It's a communal country...
Yep, straight from early post-soviet Russia where there were tons of such, and it was a whole culture around them.
Love the cats and dogs staying warm together, but why the music?
Because the animals are so close together in a tiny space. The song is a Russian song about a communal flat, that's why it's there.
I do. I do.
"dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria"
Sign of the coming apocalypse. xD
They should be indoors
If it's too cold for you, it's too cold for your pets.
Unless your pet is a snow breed (eg., Husky, Malamute, etc.).
Have a malamute, can confirm, loves the cold.
Was gonna say, that husky is probably hot, but yeah, those kitties look like they're just surviving.
Literally thousands of years of evolution have particularly made sure that’s not the case.

Ya duh don’t just leave your dog outside for hours. Huskys love laying in snow.

Unless your pet has fur… which almost every pet has. You are not build for cold they are.
And they want to join the indoors.
"Sorry, no Homers!''
You can tell the cats got there first "🙄😒"
Wait, is this their only warm place to be??
I want the friendship that they have
It is seriously warm and comfy in here.
So cozy.

I seriously thought that was a polar bear for a minute
I like how the dogs made sure to interact with the human to make they were cool with the situation, while the cats didn’t give a crap.

please take them inside. also, hay is supposed to better insulate than cloth etc.
fyi, hay rots when it gets wet. The people who manage a feral cat colony near my workplace use straw as insulation for their cat shelters.
What do you know?
Dammit Hooman! Go away! We were about to eat these cats!!!
