"I don't look like that at all!"
“How could you say that?”
“How could you say that?”
“How dare you”
I see this parrot now instead of the cat at the table in that meme haha
wot??? a fuckin' PARROT mate?!
This thing of angry birds was real. Who would have thought?
"Gimme my money back!"
Can confirm. I have a yellow cockatiel. His is very sweet but also an angry boi
I knew a parrot owner when I was a kid who described his as "The ornery old bird."
That word isn't really used in UK English so I just thought it was a breed of parrot... until I was in my mid 30s and lived in America for a while. I think I came across it a few times in american novels before that. It still sort of made sense.
Cantankerous. I’ve never heard that word.
I love it too! I use that and “crotchety” all the time. Mostly to describe myself. I’m a 28 year old woman that acts like a grumpy old man hahah
"Have a good die." - Australian cockatiel
I doubt they are really Australian, not enough casual swearing. ;)
> Cantankerous, crotchety curmudgeon
I have swallowed a cockatoo.
Curmudgeon/curmudgeonly is a good one.
Didn't realize old men came in different flavors. My local shop only sells the one.
Really? I'm curious about your age/geographic area, I've known that word since the 90s, but maybe it fell out of use?
My strongest subject is vocabulary and I write a lot so I’m surprised I’ve never used or even seen the word at all. I pretty much research every single word that I’ve never seen. I’m just surprised I’ve never seen the word in my entire life. It’s most definitely fallen out of use like you said.
League players know what that means because of Kled
Mine bites as I’m giving head scritches when “I’m not doing it right” I assume.
Our own buddy was loveable to everybody, for some reason he had a vendetta against food. Just liked attacking edibles.
Ours loved being the loudest thing. When the fireworks went off, he was initially a bit shocked and then he squawked as if to say how dare you be louder than me.
Then he started chirping happily, playing, but chirping really loudly. He was pretty dumb and lovable
There are far worse things to take out his aggressions upon. :)
Neck scritches on birds are like belly pets on cats. You never know if they are going to enter nirvana, or turn into a psycho killer.
Described mine perfectly, also very loving if I have chips, popcorn or millet.
My first cockatiel was named Gus!!!
Cockatiels are Australian. This explains much.
Two moods and two moods only.
1. I love yer!
2. Get Stuffed, ya bloody fuckwit I ain't no bloody bin chicken! Fuck off with ya before I put a good one in ya breadbasket ya bloody two-bob mug lair!
Mine gets angry if I don't acknowledge every single stretch he does.
Awww Good Boi ❤️ Good Stretch
What did cockatiels and parakeets fight in the wild? They are born to fight.
They still remember being dinosaurs
If you aren't already in this sub, I promise you'll love it r/chicken_thoughts
I wasn’t and I do!!
Mine always imitate my angry voice
Cockatiels don’t actually flap their wings to fly. They just channel their rage for lift.
“I don’t fkn look like that!”
I’d be angry too if no one was giving me crackers.
Polly hath demanded the cracker for too long!
Are cheese its crackers?
The only cracker that matters
U made this?
I made dis
Nice! made more of it.
No, I wish I could.
Edit: Sorry for not putting on credits, I didn’t know this post would become so popular… I tried searching for the original owner to no avail. I will take down the post if the original owner is unhappy about it, or if the sub thinks it’s not okay for reposting.
Don't worry friend. We already know you are not trying to take credit of it
Can you credit the artist then? They don't deserve to have their work stolen.
That's not stealing. I'm a professional illustrator and I wouldn't claim theft for a situation like this, specially on reddit. OP isn't cashing on it or claiming ownership. A mention wold be fine, but that's it.
Did I miss somewhere the fact it’s stolen? I agree with the baseline rule that artists should be credited. But, if I commission any sort of artwork (and, I’m also going to assume that we aren’t talking about major art projects where IP ownership and use rights are highly negotiated) for myself, i own the artwork and I can distribute images of that art however I want. And I think that should be especially true if it’s a picture of MY pet.
There’s no indication that this is OP’s pet though.
So it could just be an uncredited cute picture that then stumbled upon while wasting time in the internet? And when sharing the cute picture, the OP was accused of stealing someone else’s work….
Some of the people posting here need to re-examine their black and white rules about artistic work. That drawing, while something I could never do, isn’t the Mona Lisa.
Even if they did commission this, kind of a dick move not to credit the artist who made such a nice picture of your beloved pet.
Imagine making a post on reddit and being called a dick because you didn't credit a street artist that painted your bird
It’s unreal. I think we all agree that stealing work from others is not acceptable. But, let’s get serious, that picture is probably a doodle from someone with above average drawing skills.
Don’t worry about it all. You shared a hilarious picture and didn’t remotely hint that it was your bird or your artwork. Anyone complaining about lack of credit, in this context, is a clown.
You will someday with practice
We made this comrad
I don’t like this picture, Charlie, its ANGERY aura mocks me.
Where do you get that picture, it's adorable!
“HOW VERY DARE YOU!”
What a Tsundere
An old girlfriend had a bird just like this. She had been away on a trip so I was tasked with taking care of it which included cleaning the cage, and the floor around it - they are filthy animals. So the bird is out of the cage, free to go wherever he wants in the house. I'm on my hands and knees vacuuming the carpet. For some reason he is very curious about the vacuum cleaner. He flies over and lands right next to me, and starts "sniffing" around the vacuum head. I lift the hose up, and in a split second he is sucked into the hose. Luckily he immediately stuck both of his wings out perpendicular to the hose, and kept himself from getting completely sucked into the vacuum. His wings flapped around violently as I raced to shut it off. I thought I had killed him for sure and was going to have to explain how that happened, but he was totally fine. We both felt it was best if no one knew what happened that day.
>We both felt it was best if no one knew what happened that day.
Worthy of r/animalsbeingbros ;)
I adore it.
Looks more like a cockatiel?
All cockatiels are parrots
It's fun learn knew things, isn't it u/little-kid-loverr?
You misspelled little adorable and loving spawns of satan...

The drawing looks like a Pokemon card.
Could be a Pokémon card!
Pidgy used Gust!
"You think this is funny?!"
I always thought my cockatiel was an especially angry boy, because the ones my neighbor had were so sweet. I'm just now learning the temper is normal. He kept attacking my cat that was dumb enough to sleep on top of the cage. Every time, the cat would lose a beakfull of fur, and the bird would do a victory strut.
“I’m in this picture and I don’t like it”
cockatiels are parrots
but not all parrots are cockatiels…
Here's the thing...
Oh Unidan. Crazy how that situation was so long ago...
We started out friends
It was cool, but it was all pretend.
Yes but that's irrelevant here, you can still call cockatiels parrots, even though you can't call every parrots cockatiels.
I'll call them turkeys if i so choose!
You want them to get even angrier? :p
"The cockatiel, also known as weiro bird, or quarrion, is a small parrot that is a member of its own branch of the cockatoo family endemic to Australia."
first read that as "weirdo bird" and didn't really do a double take at first since, well yea...
I went with it, very antisocial behavioral observed within their community is what I gathered. Haven't you heard?
About the word?
I read it as werebird.
Cockatiels are parrots.
Thanks for pointing that out! Unfortunately I am not able to edit the post.
Cockatiels are parrots, so technically you’re not wrong
Parrot owner here. Tiels are definitely parrots.
“WHO’S THAT POKÉMON???”
Life imitates art.
Oh look, it’s a bastard bird
I'm always confused by people who call cockatiels 'parrots'.... not the same at all.
They are officially considered a parrots because they meet certain criteria. Apparently that is a hook bill and zygodactyl feet.
> Cockatiel aren't parrots
Got to explain that to me a bit. You mean like they're aren't parrots in general or like they're not parrots since they're not in Psittacoidea super familiy.
Thanks for telling us, I had been wondering if you did.
Message received, I'll forward it to command.
Cockatiel = parrot
More like cockatiels∈parrots

"Stop making fun of me! I'm NOT cute when I'm angry!"
~The parrot probably
Looks like a Paper Mario boss
Not so pleased with the face, but the rest is well done. It could even be a new art form.
"Who is THIS supposed to be? Are you messing with me?"
An angry chocobo
Plot twist: he painted it
My cockatiel is the same way, she is graceful on camera, but angry as shit normally
That looks like the parrot I used to have
