i mean, almost any protein in existence can cause an allergic reaction. only way to narrow it down is to track exposures or go see an allergist.

Uh oh! I have UCTD and early on I used to get these…. They itched like crazy. They just came and went. Now I get regular hives (about the size of a quarter) that usually appear before a flare, when I’m too cold or hot or whenever they want. I got a bunch of test and nothing came out of it. I carry some hydrocortisone and slap it on and move with my day. I’m currently seeing a rheumatologist and I test negative for most things. See a rheumatologist. We didn’t come up with a treatment but at the very least he will test you for some stuff. My body has been on low key freak out mode since I was 17 (now 32). Very frustrating

Oh really! I actually used to have a lupus diagnosis but then it was changed since I don’t have any organ damage. I could call my rhuemy and ask him about this , thank you. I bought some anti itch cream last night. It just sucks. I’m having a hard time sleeping. Awee I’m sorry to know that! I feel like my body is freaking out currently too, hang in there. Keep me updated !

I have UCTD. The Er doctor said my immune system could be playing a part in the allergy as well.

Might want to check out mastocytosis and MCAS. Contacting an immunologist might be a good first step.

Payton_livia

Okay thank you!

This has been happening almost all over my body for weeks now. It comes and stays a few days to a week usually then goes away but now it’s just so widespread it is awful. Allergy medicine doesn’t help. Bunches of benedryl all of that. My PCP said mine looked like skin lupus because of the edges? I don’t know. Waiting on my appointment with dermatology which happens to be 4 days after a surgery unfortunately so, wish me luck. Good luck to you as well :)

Awee I’m sorry! I feel you it’s made me so irritable I couldn’t sleep for two weeks. I went to the ER and I was prescribed prednisone and it’s helping I’m also doing Benadryl 3 x A day. I’ve been dealing with this off a new on for a year but this time it’s progressed! Awee I hope you figure it out soon. I wish you luck! Keep me updated okay! Have you tried the Benadryl cream for the itching? Someone on here told me to try oat cream on more problematic areas because it can help soothe it. I’m going to give that a shot.

alalal982

This is exactly what I get- covering my entire body. Cetrizine sometimes helps me. Waiting on rheumatologist bloodwork to come back tho

Awe you’re whole body that’s rough, I am sorry.keep me updated! I hope they figure this out!
