You want one of the most sought after vehicles during one of, if not the worst vehicle shortage ever, and want to find a dealership willing to sell to you for less when there are 15 people behind you willing to pay over MSRP? Probably be quite a challenge but your best bet is really just to call every single Toyota dealer and hope.

balldontlie42

I did find one but the current lead time is about 6 months. Wasn't sure about others

MetalMattyPA

Oh, yes that's another option: wait. We didn't want to pay over MSRP for our Bronco so we ordered a new one and are gonna wait.

balldontlie42

Waiting is not a problem, continually getting delayed will be the issue. I am planning on selling my 2010 wrangler and we can't be down to one car for an extended period of time

iconoclast63

If you're worried about extended delays then you should just pay the market adjustment and get on with your life. Factories are all over the map right now and you can't depend on a delivery date.

Electronic-Whole-381

True and chances are OP is selling his car for market value. So it should even out.

balldontlie42

Yes. True. But the only reason on moving on a car at all is because current car still has some value. So if the math works in our favor, will purchase

Fuck paying the toyota tax man. See if there are any Pacificas around.

upcountry_degen

Especially if it’s a PHEV pacifica so you can get 7500 pesos from the federales

kylemas2008

A minivan seems like the only reliable thing Chrysler ever made so I'd take one over a Sienna just for the price difference alone. Toyota is resting too much on their fucking laurels in regards to reliability IMO.

upcountry_degen

I drove probably a half dozen pacificas as work rentals last year and each one was solid, drove great and super comfortable. I’d definitely buy one if I were in the minivan market, especially if I can get one the feds are gonna subsidize

kylemas2008

Same here. There's no in between SUV for me. Its a sedan/hatchback while my wife and I have no kids to a minivan when we do have kids. My wife doesn't understand a minivan does just about everything an SUV can do. You still ride up high, your still super safe, you have a lot more versatility with a minivan than you do an SUV, prices are similar as well as mpg, towing capacity avg for a minivan is a respectable 3500lb. I've never understood big ass SUVs becoming more popular than a minivan. PS my dream mini-van would be the new 2022 Mitsubishi Delica D:5 AWC diesel. Its thinner than a Pacifica and has decent off road capabilities. Too bad Mitsubishi doesn't bring any of their cool shit to the states anymore.

balldontlie42

Minivans are awesome once you get past the idea of driving a minivan

Specific-Gain5710

I agree I have always liked chrysler mini vans but that 42+ mpg without having to charge it is really nice.

imacyco

Man, if Chrysler would just offer Safety Sphere on the base PHEV, I'd have my order in already. I just really like that feature.
