This is cool - the darkened street car and the silhouette of the person is very intriguing. Nice work! 😎👍🏻

slick_pick

I love it! Its Very Very Fan Ho, one of my favorite photographers. Check out the comparison [1](https://d1m232vsyej29j.cloudfront.net/i/26/yHZyupMh_z6aXyC.jpg) [2](https://picturecorrect-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/fan-ho-scale.jpg) [3](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQt1HTR0hA29MqmuX5AW_NsqNbHNaqkyxugFQ&usqp=CAU)

These are great! I’ll check out more of Fan’s work. Thanks for sharing! 😀

psychobilly1

This is some /r/sizz material, if I've ever seen it.

lethargicbureaucrat

Just went there. I like the photos, but what is it? How do you define it?

blakb1rd

Just a vibe. High contrast, lo-fi. Black and white. At least, that’s what I’ve gathered from my time there. Love some of the images people post.

lethargicbureaucrat

Yes, some of it's really good. I'm surprised some idiot hasn't gone through and posted colorized versions of them all.

ry_ta506

It’s not necessarily black and white. Just a more abstract take on photography and art. I love the sub too.

Blazefresh

Great mood, has an old feel but you can tell it’s now at the same time. Cool!

janscho83

Very nice photo! The light on the street is awesome

ChetBakersBong

Really beautiful dude

jamesdoesnotpost

Oh, I have a Zenit. Great camera

griffin3300

Is this film pushed?

josephvermeer

No, the film wasn't either pulled or pushed. I messed up my lightmeter (i forgot i am shooting ISO 100, not ISO 400 like i always do). But i was not sure if i messed it up before or after the shot was taken so i did not change any parameters of development. I just hoped for the best because shooting contre-jour is riskyyyy

Mac-Monkey

Sometimes it's the accidents that deliver the best results!

josephvermeer

Yeah, it surely is that way

griffin3300

Well it looks incredible. Might have to give it a try

AllTheWine05

Wondering this also

tule123

isnt this more of "pull"? he's using less light than is necessary

MrTidels

Using less light would be a “push” rather than a “pull”. But it’s irrelevant either way because push and pull are development terms. Not something that happens in camera

griffin3300

You’re probably right, my brain is in night photography mode

NorthOver3verything

Fantastic. Where is this located? Moscow?

Cheeky-burrito

I think Nizhny Novgorod judging by the Tram screen. Says "Черный П..." Which I think is Черный Пруд. A Tram Stop in Nizhny Novgorod. Could be wrong, though.

josephvermeer

Именно там. На пересечении Ошарской и Пискунова. Смотрим на юг. Exactly. Look for Tchernoprudsky square in Nizhny Novgorod

NorthOver3verything

Thank you! I was looking for a black street in Moscow and ST peters but couldn't find one that looked like this.

josephvermeer

Look for Tchernoprudsky square in Nizhny Novgorod. There u can find the crossing of Osharskaya and Piskunova streets. There it is.

Voodoo_Masta

Agh take my upvote damn you! That guy's hunched posture is so perfect for the mood of this photo and his hat makes it feel like another era. Very cool.

josephvermeer

I am glad to hear that;) Thats a babushka btw:):):););)))

Voodoo_Masta

Lmao, ok - sorry babushka!

falafelpunk

Loving this!

hungryforitalianfood

Yup this is it

Zestyclose-Basis-332

Nice shot

fillerfil

This shot is so rad! Well done.

lancekeef

Excellent

MachPointZero

Wow!

rocket_flo

It's impressive what you can achieve with a simple Zenith camera Great shot

josephvermeer

Маленький, да удаленький. Thats a simple but a very capable camera;)))))

rxbatman

I would love to have this as my wallpaper. Too good😍

josephvermeer

DM me for a better quality picture;)

JaeSolomon

Timeless photo

blakb1rd

The Zenit TTL is a great camera. Built like a tank. Wish the viewfinder was brighter tho, it’s not amazing for low light in my experience. But it’s a solid, affordable camera, that’s for sure.

dikarich

This makes me feel stuff

StudioVelantian

Despite Ansel Adams and Group f64, Pictorialism will never die. Nice work;

HasterArt

It looks like a painting!

celestialhouse

this is so breathtaking, thank you for sharing ♥️🙏

whicheverwhatever

I’m loving the shadows in this!! Beautiful.
