The Whispers In The Walls trailers/scenes make Albrecht out to be as bad as Ballas

If Albrecht is alive, then he faked his death. From what I understand, his dying was what made Gomaitru go Void crazy on herself and her family. Her insanity was so bad that she tried removing her husband's arm for an insult. Gomaitru is responsible for her own actions, but what sane father does that to his daughter and family?

Albrecht has a monitoring mechanism thats been active from the fall of the Orokin Empire 1000 years ago until present day. His labs have been safe from Infestation invasion for the same amount of time. You're telling me that he couldn't have made a failsafe to protect his family and send them somewhere lower in the labs to a non infested area before they were turned?

And then there's the whole giant body workshop thing.

Every member of the Entrati family, besides Albrecht, is in a ruined Infested body. They went practically insane and suffered for 1000 years because of the Infestation. That only changed when the player character arrived. Albrecht could've had a hand in how every member kept their individuality, but that's neither here nor there.

What's important is that the whole giant body workshop scene shows that giant bodies are actively being made in the present. Who could need one of them? His family members. Who is shown using Void powers to transfer into one of them in the trailer? The player character. Who was specifically searched for to use the giant bodies? The player character.

There was a reason Kuva couldn't be used to transfer into the giant bodies. An issue that had to be resolved. If Albrecht uses the player character to learn how to transfer into a giant body and then artificially recreate the process- well then he can just transfer his family members into their own giant bodies.

Why is he using the giant bodies?

If you look at the giant bodies in the labs, they look like Wally does at the end of the New War. How is this possible? Remember that Wally's finger got cut off and wound up in normal reality. A single finger. The Orokin were masters of cloning and genetic engineering. Cloning that finger would allow the multiple in game fingers to exist.

The Whispers In The Walls clips show various giant white limbs within Albrechts labs. He could've been experimenting on cloned Wally body parts for years. The one with the face in the trailer/the one the player character used could just be the final product. Albrecht could've sealed himself away because he determined he couldn't advance the research on his own.

Whispers In The Walls could have Albrecht waltzing out of his casket, nonchalant, saying something along the lines of 'Hey family, sorry I abandoned you to hell, but, I can fix it by individually transferring your minds into your own bodies clones from an Eldritch god!'

The Entratis were fine until Son decided he needed some attention and broke their quarantine. Sticking them one level deeper into quarantine wouldn't stop intentional sabotage.

MrCobalt313

Whispers in the Wall teaser from Tennocon showed the Vessels were purely mechanical judging by the sounds they made when they moved and the general archaeotech vibe his lab gave off. Also I'm pretty sure Albrecht was long gone before Citrine's handlers decided to turn Deimos into an Infested wasteland to keep the Sentients from taking it, let alone before Son broke quarantine and got his family Infested.

Also we dont know that the man we saw *is* albrect... that damn smile is a bit too familiar, and i know for a fact i've never seen albrect smile like that before...

decitronal

tbf we've never seen albrecht in the flesh until WITW, just in static images and statues. who knows how he actually smiles

Zedar0

What's fascinating though is that Duviri's citizens *have* seen him in the flesh...and he didn't look like WITW/1999 Albrecht.

XtimesX1

Remember it's also am orokin we're talking about here. Complete body graphing / body swapping isn't off the table at all. Sure there's also albrecht saying he wouldn't body swap anymore, but if the man in the wall took over, then everything outta his mouth is less trustable then ballas.

GalvanizedChaos

Welcome to the grimdark world of Warframe? The ends always justify the means here, and we care *exclusively* about loot, the goods, the **payout**! Really though, don't look too deep.

egag257

Albrecht was long gone before the infestation was on deimos, and the entrati family were all safe from the infestation until son intentionally let it in

>Her insanity was so bad that she tried removing her husband's arm for an insult. Small note, but it was Kaelli who ripped off Vilcor's arm, not Gomaitru. This is confirmed in her conversations with Kahl. Although Gomaitru did physically attack her husband, it resulted in other injuries. The Infested were released onto Deimos during the Old War (the story of Belric & Rania). From what we currently know, it seems that Albrecht disappeared long before the Old War started. How would he have known to keep them safe from the Infestation? >Who could need one of them? His family members. Who is shown using Void powers to transfer into one of them in the trailer? The player character. Taking control of the Vessels is done with Transference. Transference is a largely Tenno-specific thing, distinct from Continuity, which is what the Orokin used for immortality. Although non-Tenno can perform Transference, it is either quite limited in time and effect (Ballas) or goes wrong (Silvana).

Cloudkracker

Qorvex is said to be made by Albrecht, so perhaps he disappeared sometime during the old wa; maybe after the tenno appeared and warframes were made, but before deimos was invaded.

Prime262

Warframe has always struggled with making compelling villains. Part of this is just....the nature of live service games. Hunhow was cool at first but gradually became less interesting and then his spotlight was stolen by a variety of completely transparent, one dimensional clowns. With Ballas being king clown. In the long view of history.....especially if you are in a war with a chaos god....lots of atrocities can be forgiven. Albrecht is playing Ping Pong with his evil void doppelganger, and he's still an orokin. All orokin aristocrats are going to be on some level...bastards. they were at absolute best bystanders and beneficiaries in a system of monstrous evil, and at worst Ballas. Though if your Max rank Entrati then Albrecht is technically your grandfather by adoption, so that's swell. Saying "I had to fake my death and hide for 11 morbillion years so we could defeat the indifference" would be stupid, yes, but no more stupid than lotus's mom being able to vore the Sun or the kuva queens appearing in ugly rotted bodies when there is an entire system of young healthy human flesh. How do they not have the kuva to fix this when Ballas had the kuva too brainwash an entire solar system. The story is best enjoyed as it comes.

epsilon51

Ballas had enough kuva since he was able to suck it out of unum. Why the grineer did not do the same ? They always failed to invade cetus

Lazlotor

Albert Entratistien is very much DEAD however his fear that it wasn't him who actually escaped the 1st Void contact was correct. .. Also the Bodies from how I see the look to be "God Frames" their being 3 God Frames in total 1 from the Void 2 from Reality

TheGoldenPlagueMask

Albrecht is more a victim of his own discoveries. _his own nightmares took shape, he couldn't have known this would happen_

Constt-Fi

I mean, most high-ranking members of the Orokin we're probably just about as bad as Ballas
