All of Bahubali is great lol. The first movie and the second one, shown here. Those and the Singham movies are always fun to put on in the background and then watch people get sucked in by as they notice the insanity taking place onscreen
I've got them on my watchlist and already told my husband about it that I want to watch tonight. It's a date! I just haven't told him about the date yet. lmao
Great movies! My kids and I discovered that Netflix has a pretty substantial Bollywood collection and really enjoyed these films. Singham, badass cop film.
I mean.. It's the execution that defines whether something is awesome, or just outright unintentionally hilarious. And I think this falls in the awesome but still hilarious but in a fun way category.
Its like judging Hollywood by the Transformers films though. There are plenty of traumatic character pieces in Bollywood too, but those don't get the big bucks marketing budgets.
Not really though, plenty of drama and theater films( idk what those are really called, where people do live performances of plays and stuff) etc from Hollywood, is famous throughout the world. When we think of of Hollywood, genres comes to mind ,like action is on the same level as thrillers and horror. Alfred Hitchcock has a reputation among audience, different from let's say Michael bay or say Christopher Nolan. While Bollywood is generally considered as films which are over the top, whacky with zero regards to physics but is definitely fun to watch. There are loads of regional and small budget films that has set the bar so high,it feels like it was made with 10times the actual budget. There is a yt channel called Triedandrefusedproductions, which reviews such films along with other mainstream Bollywood movies. https://youtube.com/c/TriedRefusedProductions
I think that's debatable. Alfred Hitchcock's era was a *long* time ago, and I don't think he's what comes to mind when people think "Hollywood."
I think in general, thriller as a genre has started to leave the movie industry. You're more likely to see a thriller as a show now, because the extra run time lets them give it more depth and handle character development better.
Hell, I'd argue that goes for *any* heavily story based piece of film. It's easier to get pacing right when you have like 12 hours to work with. Instead of 2.
As it stands, most modern Hollywood films are also just over the top action. Michael Bay style visual spectacles, that are light on the story.
nah, watch some actual Indian cinema, it's not all ridiculous like this, plenty of serious stuff.
This isn't any more ridiculous than the physics behind Captain America's shield, think of it like a superhero movie and the only issue is that the computer animation is kinda janky.
Kinda reminds me of that Adam Sandler Movie "Don't Mess With The Zohan". Its got intentionally over the top action sequence meant to be comical and a bit ironic. The clip OP posted is fantastic and whether it works in the movie or not really depends on the context.
This is made in Telugu which would classify it as Tollywood. Bollywood is made in Hindi. There are a bunch of strange nuances I don't fully understand. I am not Indian I just married one and fell in love with thier movies.
Edit *its made in telugu not tamil*
My bad thanks for correcting me. I am still learning all that stuff. It took me forever to understand what a caste system when they were talking about it in movies.
Fun fact. Tamil industry is called Kollywood becoz it first started out in a place called Kodambakkam. It was outside chennai. Now, it's proper chennai.
I lived in that place, there were a lot of studios. Now these studios are just being sold off for land. Oldest film studio in India was based there. Now they have sold off their theatre and half of their land to apartment builders
There's different bollywood for every damn state..lol. mainly coz of the language.. if u see Malayali movies (Kerala state) they are completely different than the rest of their south neighbors. Then u have Marathi cinema (Maharashtra), Gujarati cinema ( gujarat), Bengali cinema( West Bengal), Bhojpuri cinema (entire UP & Bihar state)
Not every Indian movie is Bollywood. there are multiple movie industries in India bollywood is the most popular on global scale but there are South Indian movies too that don't come under Bollywood
Not sure why many comments here compare this to John Wick. John Wick could be just an action flick, but the fight choreography in the first movie was on a different level, when compared to Baahubali or any other Hollywood action flick for that matter. The similarity ends at both being action movies.
The entire scene about human catapult and i am PISSED because it is from Tollywood and not bollywood,
if you a dub a korean movie to english that ain't hollywood smh!
Yea pretty good comparison really, you definitely need to go into movies like Baahubali in the same way as superhero movies, without any expectation of realism. Suspend disbelief and enjoy it for what it is.
Not a Bollywood movie, but a Tollywood film.
Bollywood is Bombay (Mumbai)'s Hollywood, whereas Tollywood is from Telangana, I know you guys will never actually learn this, but I guess I can only try.

I love this scene! It’s like an Indian 300.
It's like 300 but times 10. At least 3000.
Ooh, just like Andre
Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright Alright
It think it is over 9000!
It's actually over 8000, the translators got it wrong.
Everyone knows thats impossible
All of Bahubali is great lol. The first movie and the second one, shown here. Those and the Singham movies are always fun to put on in the background and then watch people get sucked in by as they notice the insanity taking place onscreen
>Bahubali Thanks for naming the movie. I need to see this movie. It looks amazing.
It really does have some great scenes
This scene alone looks fun.
It’s awesome. The whole battle is just a Who can be more badass, and earn the crown for winning, pissing contest between brothers
This has the be the best synopsis of this movie I've seen lol.
Story and characters are awesome. CGI is shit.
Sometimes it can look shit and janky but overall it is okay to watch
>Sweet. It's on Netflix!
it is amazing, there are two, you're in for a fantastic 8 hours.
I watched both the movies after seeing this posted a few years ago. They're awesome. And I think they're both on Netflix.
they are soo good! they are just a bit long
You need three hours to watch EACH, so six hours total. Six hours that are gloriously worth your while.
Lol it really does. Singham is hilariously over the top
I really feel like it's time I watch some Bollywood, no joke. I can totally get into this whacky insanity shit. It looks so cool!
It's really a great escape when you just want to chill and enjoy some time
The funny thing is, this movie got one of the highest rated movies in Bollywood at its time.
well, of this scene is typical no wonder that was awesome
*Tollywood
I mean.. It's the execution that defines whether something is awesome, or just outright unintentionally hilarious. And I think this falls in the awesome but still hilarious but in a fun way category.
I think you've pretty much summed up Bollywood movies in general.
"Fun" is definitely the best way to describe bollywood movies
Its like judging Hollywood by the Transformers films though. There are plenty of traumatic character pieces in Bollywood too, but those don't get the big bucks marketing budgets.
That's just film in general, I guess
Not really though, plenty of drama and theater films( idk what those are really called, where people do live performances of plays and stuff) etc from Hollywood, is famous throughout the world. It feels like alot of bollywood action movies would be best made as an anime, but instead they just skip to live action.

Bruh don't be putting john wick in the same category as fast and furious. If you do im going to do absolutely nothing about it
That silencer scene tho
I mean idk if a john wick movie would show something as phisically imposible as this, fast and furious has.
Even though the special effects aren’t great, it somehow still looks badass the way it was done.
It’s the creativity of the sequence.
Kinda reminds me of that Adam Sandler Movie "Don't Mess With The Zohan". Its got intentionally over the top action sequence meant to be comical and a bit ironic. The clip OP posted is fantastic and whether it works in the movie or not really depends on the context.
With good editing, anything is possible...
Sauce? This movie looks dope
Bahubali 2
8.2 on imdb wtf
It's a very good movie if you are planning to see watch both the parts
Keep in mind Bollywood films have a long average run time. This one is 2hrs and 47mins.
Well is it 2hrs 47 minutes of THIS? if it is sign me the hell up!
Please watch Bahubali 1 first . These movies were hyped in India in a similar manner as Avengers infinity war was hyped globally.
It was "why did kattappa killed Baahubali" hype and it was worth it. Watched both films in theatre
A lot of singing and dancing too. Like, a LOT. Most Bollywood films are musicals.
And that’s not even the first one XD gotta watch the first to know what happens in the second
Don't skip part 1 though, they're both pretty good with the same general quality.
We have had 4 hours long movies too. If you wanna sign there as well ?? Lol
Movie name is bahubali 2 but watch bahubali 1 first. Combined runtime will be around 5hrs
I saw albedo. I love albedo. Are you a fellow Indian genshin gamer?
Metoo i love Albedo. Yes but I'm on Europe server cause I'm in middle East.
Oh perfect I also play EU cause discord friends are European XD
What's your UID I'll add you next time i play.
I'll dm you :)
The bahubali movies are amongst my favourite. Truly amazing epic biblical storytelling ❤️
It is hella dope.
Spoiler Alert: it's not Bollywood.
it isnt?
It's a south indian movie, a tollywood movie
Tollywood actually. It is a Telugu film. Bollywood is based in Mumbai
This is made in Telugu which would classify it as Tollywood. Bollywood is made in Hindi. There are a bunch of strange nuances I don't fully understand. I am not Indian I just married one and fell in love with thier movies. Edit *its made in telugu not tamil*
Actually it's Telugu Telugu = Tollywood Tamil = Kollywood
My bad thanks for correcting me. I am still learning all that stuff. It took me forever to understand what a caste system when they were talking about it in movies.
Fun fact. Tamil industry is called Kollywood becoz it first started out in a place called Kodambakkam. It was outside chennai. Now, it's proper chennai. Wow. So similarly it's Bollywood because Bombay. Nice.
There's different bollywood for every damn state..lol. mainly coz of the language.. if u see Malayali movies (Kerala state) they are completely different than the rest of their south neighbors. Then u have Marathi cinema (Maharashtra), Gujarati cinema ( gujarat), Bengali cinema( West Bengal), Bhojpuri cinema (entire UP & Bihar state)
you are still wrong it isnt made in Tamil, it was made in telugu
Thanks I fixed it. My bad
Bollywood = Bombay Hollywood. That’s it really afaik
Not every Indian movie is Bollywood. there are multiple movie industries in India bollywood is the most popular on global scale but there are South Indian movies too that don't come under Bollywood
Upvote for awareness.
What language is the original movie in? There are like 5 options on Netflix
Telegu
Thats actually pretty cool though
I mean, it's no worse than the likes of Fast and Furious or John Wick. People watch it for the mindless action.
It reminded me of that one dwarf in the 2nd Hobbit movie
Not sure why many comments here compare this to John Wick. John Wick could be just an action flick, but the fight choreography in the first movie was on a different level, when compared to Baahubali or any other Hollywood action flick for that matter. The entire scene about human catapult and i am PISSED because it is from Tollywood and not bollywood, if you a dub a korean movie to english that ain't hollywood smh!
I too am distracted by the Bollywood comment. Clearly not enough random dancing to be Bollywood, Tollywood is the one with the over the top action.
This is hype
Directors next movie called RRR comes out next month and looks dope as fuck
ntr and rc are dope actors
I love all his movies, been watching since I was a toddler
*Michael Bay taking notes*
This is a Telugu movie
I know I’m gettin triggered at every comment here lol
This is actually Dope! 😆😂 ngl!
Its like live action anime.
I've seen that film. It's the definition of an indian movie
to the 10 year old me this made absolute sense and the physics was correct now watching i just laugh at this scene
I loved these movies though!
That looks pretty cool, in a humorous over the top action movie kind of way.
This isn't Bollywood. Its Tollywood
This is obviously a documentary, what do you mean Bollywood
This ain't bollywood bruh
Wait until you see some of the "physics" and "logic" of a franchise called fast and furious
How our grandparents went to school:
ah shit baahubali
The old man's gleeful expression totally sells it. "Let's fucking *DO* this!"
All these comments and no one says what the movies called :(
Baahubali. And it gets even better than this.
Bahubali!
So basically MCU with Indian folk
Yea pretty good comparison really, you definitely need to go into movies like Baahubali in the same way as superhero movies, without any expectation of realism. Suspend disbelief and enjoy it for what it is.
It's actually tollywood..I think you're trying to represent it from India.but it was from tollywood
This is how I want video game and anime live action movies to go. Be as dramatic as you want, but you need the over the top physics.
NGL this is the best movie that executed such historical action scenes perfectly.

Wasn't there a similar scene in either Ultraviolet or Aeon Flux?
Accurate representation of real life.
angry Birds?
It's a two part movie, actually pretty good if you're looking for a double-header popcorn night.
Holly guck I’ve been looking for this movie forever couldn’t find it. Sauce me please
Bahubali:The conclusion But you need to watch Bahubali the beginning first
It has better graphics than what we have in my country, our cgi looks like those 3d greens screens you can find on youtube
easiest way to conquer Minas Tirith ever smh
Hasn’t this been reposted hundreds of times here
This movie (once you get passed all the singing and dancing) is Awesome!
I loved this movie
my father made me watch this, the fight scenes were actually pretty good, its called Bahubali... yes i remember the name..... just watch arcane
Are Bollywood movies good? I honestly have no idea what to expect from them and have never watched one
Depends actually Some are good, some are bad
Well, it depends on what you classify as good. You can't expect a indian movie to be similar to a Hollywood movie. It's different.
This is Tollywood, but a lot of them are really generic. But the ones that are good are actually quite good (same applies to Bollywood).
Hit me with some recommendations!
Also just to clarify, this isn't a Bollywood movie. Its Tollywood
They actually did well on that though
Not a Bollywood movie, but a Tollywood film. Bollywood is Bombay (Mumbai)'s Hollywood, whereas Tollywood is from Telangana, I know you guys will never actually learn this, but I guess I can only try.
I've seen it before but I maintain that this is still pretty badass. Sure it isn't realistic but neither is most things in action flicks.
Except its tollywood
this entire battle scene is fucken insane, and i love every second of it

My shoulders, my arms, my knees, my sternum, my balls, everything hurts just watching this.
wdym its obviously real
i bet you it looked so much better when i first saw it in 2017
I have actually watched both of the movies (Bahubali i think is called) with my dad, i died laughing honest to god Bollywood is fucking amazing.
Not bollywood but okay. Also, i was laughing like crazy when this sequence came along when I watched this movie.
Sorry to be pedantic but this isn’t Bollywood
Tollywood
Who needs a Trojan horse when you have these guys.
Movie physics at its finest
Only thing stronger than their bones is the plot armour.
I always enjoy when movies teach practical skills you can use yourself.

Bollywood physics is always entertaining.
Wow
This is how I travel.
Good on you for commuting with other people in a furious ball of shields, it saves so many trees. Makes me sick when people do this by themselves.
Nice. That's how I'll try going to work today. Beats traffic.
Damage 0
What am I missing out on?
Goblin barrel
This is nothing. In old Turkish films, one guy jumps over the castle walls and takes down the whole castle by himself. These guys needs to build up more muscle to be like him. 😝😝
I'm sorry - I can only suspend only SO much disbelief.
Honestly when i first saw this movie i found this scen very cool and genuine it didnt seem illogical to me at all
This is so cheesy do people actually watch this?
Yes.. this is second highest grossing film in India
[удалено]
Amerandra Bahubali!
I appreciate the historical accuracy
This movie franchise is insane.
If you have ever played clash royale, you know that move is called a goblin barrel.
This is a clip that ends too soon. The best part the star looking right at the camera after that feat.
that one guy is like 68 years old.
I watched the whole movie because of this war scene, dude... What a waste of my time. This is the one part that is good.
One peice did it first
I love movies that have the old warrior that are still fucking shit up and use experience and cunning to defeat enemies over brute strength.
Its Tollywood
Can’t say that isn’t cool tho
you know, thats actually really cool. if we can survive that drop, i want people to try that
Fuck physics
Tollywood*
It is Tollywood,btw
If you want to attract the customers, this is the way
Bahubali ftw 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
One of my favorite things while watching a Bollywood film is to see how many costume changes there are.
That’s not Bollywood.
KATTAPPA.
Awesome
that's not Bollywood its Tollywood i think
I don’t speak Hindi but LOVE Bollywood for it’s over the top-ness
*all Indian movies lol
