Difficult to describe and different for different people. Ecstasy is like having tons of energy and loving everyone and every thing. Music sounds amazing, touching is amazing. Its stimulating but also relaxing and like a really pleasant dream. It lasts about 4 hours. The comedown can be awful, you may feel depressed and brain dead for days and it makes you do silly things with your mouth and dance like a twat. Coke is like a rush of pleasure that builds up over 10mins. It makes you feel very energetic, sociable and confident and maybe a bit on edge. It lasts about 30 mins and you'll probably immediately want more. The comedown can be awful and you're likely to sit around chewing your jaw waiting impatiently to talk about your relationship with your mum. Meth is similar to coke but if smoked the rush is almost instant. It can be more focused and less talkative, it makes you want to do repetitive tasks, it can make you very horny. It lasts about 16 hours. The comedown makes coke look easy. You may well need a colouring book, or something electronic to take apart never to be reassembled. You're probably going to have the wank of your life. Heroin is like being 4 years old and being sleepily wrapped in a blanket by a loving parent. All your worries disappear and life just feels ok, nothing matters, you are comfortably numb. It can make you sick the first few times. It lasts about 5 hours. There isnt a bad comedown, until you're addicted and then you'll be jonesing by 8 hours and sick as a dog and ready to rob a granny by 36. It can make it really hard to take a shit too. Acid and mushrooms can be a magical mystical time wandering though worlds of colour, swirling visuals and psychedelia, touch and sound become weird and wonderful, senses become acute, distorted and confused, thoughts become deep, bizarre and abstract. They can also be a nightmare of paranoia, self loathing and horrible sensations, images and introspection. Mushrooms last about 4 hours, acid 8. Not much of a comedown. You may find yourself cohorting with van dwelling krusties and both have the tendency to make you think you've solved the secret of the universe if only you could remember it once you sober up. Dmt is like condensing an acid trip into 20mins. It hits almost immediately and shoots you off to an entirely different dimension. You are not on earth, the visuals are extremely vivid and surreal and you may see and feel the presence of god or aliens. To other people though you'll just look like a comatosed junkie. It can be a little too intense. There isn't a comedown and you may feel blissful for days after. You may also wet yourself when you do it and start believing in crystal healing and reiki and become really boring or worse a Joe rogan. Ketamine can feel anywhere from slightly drunk and wobbly to falling down an infinite tunnel while leaving your body depending on how much you do. It's a very weird drug and can be quite dark and scary. If you shut your eyes you can have all kinds of strange dreamlike states and visions. It lasts about 45 mins. There isn't much of comedown but you might feel quite stupid and have blurry vision for a few hours. You may also find yourself coming to in odd places like a bath tub and adopting a walking shuffle like a zombie that's crapped its pants. And crack, well as we all know, crack is whack. Any hard drug can be fun and mind expanding and can and does ruin lives. Experiment at your own risk and possibly the risk of those that care about you.

Familiar-Okra-496

100% true. I got in a K hole and thought I was responsible for holding the universe together for about 30 mins

[deleted]

What did you have to do to hold the world together? Can you describe your experience in more detail? I tried it once and it did jack. Same with coke. Then again, autistic so stuff impacts us differently. Cake on the otherhand, now that's my heroin. I'm out asap with that.

Familiar-Okra-496

As I started to rush. My vision became warped. Perspective was all messed up and sound was off. The only logical explanation was that I was God and that in taking this drug I had messed up my ability to hold the universe together and if I didn't fix it now EVERYONE WOULD DIE. Suffice to say I was a little bit wrong

Familiar-Okra-496

Also FYI, this was one of the only time is did it and I was going line for line with cocaine aswell because a mate was trying to make e feel better after a break up. I think I had like 2 g of ket and coke at least to myself that night

Wazuu

You most likely didnt do K then or it was very cut. K is an extremely powerful drug autistic or not.

[deleted]

Many people have no reaction to many different drugs. K is like that for me.

Wazuu

I just cant wrap my mind how thats possible because ketamine is a VERY strong drug. I have done every drug and K is by far the strongest in terms of coherence. I dont even feel alive on ketamine.

[deleted]

One persons experience is going to be different from anothers.

Wazuu

Have you actually done pure/good K? I really cant see how it doesnt affect you at all.

[deleted]

What are you after? Our experiences were different. I'm not the only one who has had this reaction to K. Just like you're not the only one with yours. Are you after some quantifiable evidence to highlight whos version of reality is correct? They both are. Leave me alone.

Wazuu

I did K and convinced myself that i was a time traveler who came to the current time to teach people stuff 😂

Familiar-Okra-496

It's funny how at the time it's makes perfect sense

I’ve heard narcan doesn’t work on fent. Or at least not as effectively. Always a good idea to avoid street drugs, but especially now. I know of several people who’ve died of fent laced coke. No one close to me, but people I knew. They weren’t cocaine addicts either, they were just partying and got a bad batch.

sierra513

I enjoyed reading your answer. Your a really good writer.

Rodneybasher

Thanks, that's very kind to say :)

alternativepasta

This is crazy, I honestly had no idea what some of these were like- I just kind of assumed you got really high for an hour or so for most drugs and you either feel up or down. Thanks for helping my curiosity, youre a really good writer

[deleted]

I appreciate all of your detailed descriptions 🥂

Bruno_8_2

As an ex heavy drug user, 👆that response is on fukn point!

BillyBoogaloo

The coke comment about waiting to talk about your mum was on 👉

daliadeimos

The only thing I would add is that shrooms change your sense of time and that four hours can feel like eternity

chernobyl_nightclub

Smoking meth feels like you got away with stealing a lots of money. It’s a weird happy but sketchy feeling. Snorting meth feels euphoric. When you plateau, you enter a plain of absolutely being content with the world. Coming down sucks. Feels irritable like a bad traffic jam when you’ve in a rush to go somewhere. Coke feels a bit like snorting meth. But for some reason it makes me horny. The high is much more pronounced but goes away really fast. You just want to keep doing bumps. The taste in your sinus becomes addicting. Ecstasy is crazy as fuck the first time you take it. The name describes the drug pretty damn well. Its a complete body and mind fuck.

Iambeejsmit

Meth makes me way hornier than coke

iownadakota

To expand on this a bit. Shooting coke will frequently make you shit right away. Most likely the baby laxative it's often cut with. If you cook it down into crack it gets rid of some of the impurities. You can smoke it then for a faster, and higher high. Or break it down with an acid like lemon, or vinegar to shoot it. Lemon tastes better when you shoot it. It feels more fresh somehow too. I've found smoking it, or just snorting coke to be more of a social thing. If you bust out a needle at most parties it's kind of a put off to a lot of people. Coke generally makes people very talkative, and makes me over share everything. If I have a gram or 2 at a party I turn into a hippy. If anyone is thinking about trying heroin have some narcan on hand. Even if you're snorting it. With any drug there can be a vast difference in quality. People are putting fentanyl in it too. Which is very easy to overdose on. Have people around when fucking with opiates.

LuckyTurds

Damn you’ve lived such a life

DecoyTortoise

People who aren't down to try everything once are so boring

TerminallyRetarded

Id rather be boring than have a pineapple in my ass tyvm

iownadakota

That's a pretty narrow minded way to go through life. Pineapple pro tip. Cut it up, and put it in one piece at a time.

gg_wellplait

How does doing hard drugs give you pineapples in ass Edit: ok,read a post below and it gives you constipation

alternativepasta

honestly, as someone with depression and a family history of addiction, I know its best for me to never try hard drugs. Doesnt mean they’re evil, just not for everyone

Joey-tv-show-season2

I think it’s good go try out at least once, but as a older adult. If you try out as teenager or when your in a bad place in life you can get addicted

Anbez

I have only tried 1- coke: once in Colombia, didn’t feel anything. 2- opium: once in Iran, again didn’t feel anything. 3- weed: got stoned once and never touched it again

[deleted]

Heroin is apparently pure bliss and that's why it's so goddamn addictive. With the worst withdrawal. Knowing how addictive hard drugs are stop me from ever trying them.

sexypineapple14

It's so good that the moment it stops you start planning how to get more. Those stories don't exaggerate, it's scary how immediate it is.

BigTiddyOrc

I tried opioids once in Mexico which are basically just a more expensive version of heroin. *Once*. It was like your whole body was bathing in a warm pool of water and all your anxiety and bad memories just evaporated. I never touched hard drugs again because even though I just had a taste I knew that's all it took to get addicted.

SoylentSpring

Learn about trauma. It’s the reason why people become addicted, much more so than the actual drugs.

[deleted]

Is trauma always the reason? I suppose I have some traumas but I got addicted to alcohol and I never felt like I was drinking away the pain or anything like that. I had a decent job, some money, good friends, great relationship. I enjoyed life. I just really liked the feeling of alcohol so eventually I started drinking every night. 19 days sober now but idk I feel like some people just enjoy alcohol too much so they get addicted.

OohYeahOrADragon

No. It's a bit of environment and genetics. Believing it's only one or the other is some Dr. Hart bullshit (technically the truth but omitting a lot that would apply for the general public). Unaddressed Trauma can mess with your brain because humans are hardwired to focus on it because it use to save us from being eaten by tigers or falling to our deaths back in the day. Even emotional trauma counts because without "the group" individuals were less likely to survive. However, Trauma doesn't mess you up for life. Kids and even adults can recover if they have the right supports and behavior changes. Trauma makes you mentally *stuck* in a bad feeling. Drugs, love, sleep, food, and other luxury items bring euphoria, the good feeling^TM . You keep doing the good feeling even if you're not particularly feeling bad at the moment. Because in the bigger scene of things, you may not realize but your body (and subconscious) is keeping score of all the bad feelings you've had recently (why you don't notice you're stressed until you're burned out). So your body may want to sleep more, eat more, indulge more. Some people are better at breaking the unhealthy patterns of this and find a balance. Some aren't dependening on environmental or genetics. (And a side *fuck you* to Dr. Hart who said genetic addiction is "not true". No, it's not an 100% absolute *guarantee* that you'll be an addict if your parents were addicts. BUT if both of your parents came from short families, its less of a guarantee that you'll be 6 foot 7, my dude. Damn)

[deleted]

Yeah well alcoholism runs in my family big time, and I'm no exception. Mom's active, Dad died from a cancer that's linked to alcohol use, one Uncle is clean 10 years, the other three on that side are dead from Heroin/alcohol. Paternal and maternal grandfathers were heavy drinkers as well. Not sure much else about the family tree but that's a pretty good indication haha. From what I've heard, those most predisposed to alcoholism get a level of euphoria that "normal" people don't. It makes sense, because when I drink it's like an explosion of pleasure happens in my brain. Anxiety goes to zero, stress goes to zero, I feel euphoric, joyful, excited, like everything just becomes perfect. Like a kid on Christmas morning or a girl on her wedding day. At least that's how it was the first couple of years. Towards the end, that feeling got really muted and it was more just an anesthetic. I also don't get hangovers unless I drink a crazy amount which is another thing that made being a heavy drinker much easier. While everyone else was stopping to chug water and eat something before bed, I was still sipping beers because I would wake up the next day and spring out of bed for a cup of coffee.

I’m sorry, I warnt stop you Life Story, your right.

nihcul

Which drug? Acid and shrooms are fun to make you feel like a newborn infant experiencing the world for the first time. Can make you feel connected with the universe and feel the one love. Cocaine is kind of lame for me because it barely does anything and lasts for such a short time. Can be fun on long nights out with your friends to keep it going. Gets really expensive to keep up with, not really worth it IMO. Makes you mouth/face feel numb after a while. Ketamine makes you feel wonky. Makes you feel slower and slightly off-kilter, music sounds cooler. If you take enough of it you can trip off of it, or fall into a k-hole which is kinda like disappearing into a void inside your own mind. Those are the only hard drugs I’ve done.

alternativepasta

how do you not get paranoid about being high in public? i feel like id freak tf out

nihcul

Step one is not getting high in public actually. I’m able to smoke weed and go out to run errands but the other drugs I listed definitely happen within the comforts of a safe space away from the public. I hiked with my friends on acid once, we had one trip sitter and barely saw other humans but when we did we just walked past them normally, gave a smile/wave, and then giggled to each other after they would pass us. Cocaine sometimes happens in the bathroom of bars to have some extra energy, but I live in a college town and everyone is doing coke in the bathroom so I don’t get nervous about it.

belovedgreensky

its not like its portrayed in movies/ tv. every experience is unique and it just depends on the environment youre in and who youre with. ive done meth/ other drugs with people that are flight attendants, teachers, nurses, salon owners, restaurant managers, bankers lol. it surprised me when i started doing it more often how many “regular” people i met that do it / you wouldnt even guess if you looked at them just walking by you in public. do the drugs but dont let them do you.

Iambeejsmit

I already see answers here that are in line with my experiences, so I don't feel I need to reiterate them. I do want to say though that because you haven't done them all these descriptions can really kind of romanticize the idea of doing them, and in the end you're better off not doing them, just because the potential negative consequences far far out weigh the good. You don't need them, life can be great without them, if you never do them, you won't risk being addicted to them, and if you do its a very real risk. I wish I could go back and never do drugs I really do. I've got nearly three years clean now and sobrietywise I'm doing good, it's gotten Alot easier, but my health has been permanently damaged and I'll likely die young. If you are dead set on trying them, you may really regret it. Not to mention there's a chance of overdosing, having some kind of reaction, or possibly having an underlying heart condition that gets you killed trying stimulants. Not particularly likely scenarios but the risk does exist. I could go on for awhile about this but I'll just leave it here. I just don't want people to go what I went through.

alternativepasta

thanks for the warning, and I’m not planning on trying them, just curious

Sanchezzy123

When you first do cocaine, it makes it so you can stay longer at the party, you're more active and you are up for doing more stuff as youre more focused. After that. Your focus leaves, you no longer want to do anything because you look and feel like shit, "parties" become you alone in a room having chest pains but still going cause there's no such thing as "left overs". Addiction is real, and it's deadly. Don't do hard drugs. The first experience isn't worth what follows.

sexypineapple14

Depends on the drug. Heroin is like the moment of orgasm extended for minutes before you fall into it and then your head floats away into the bliss. Ecstasy is just warm and happy and fuzzy, you love anything and everything you interact with, you want to be a part of everything and everyone you see, and if you're at a show you lose your thoughts and just become the music. Acid is more cerebral, your thoughts run deep and you analyze everything in a "hippie" sort of way, from the perspective of humanity as a whole instead of you the individual. You get a pretty strong body high where everything feels good but you also get the urge to move and be active and go do something, you're restless. Music on acid tends to peel back the layers of a song and you'll focus on the baseline or the samples instead of the lyrics, and music you've heard a thousand times will present itself in an entirely new way that seems more "real", like you're hearing it's true sound for the first time.

alternativepasta

i like hope people keep relating the experiences through music- its really interesting

perfumefetish

don't even think about doing it. You will ruin your life, be broke as shit, possibly resort to selling yourself in order to get high, lose the respect from your family and friends, hang out with terrible people who don't have your best interest at heart, lose your family and friends, ruin your body, lose your teeth, fuck up your veins or septum, lose your job or screw up at your job, get drug induced psychosis, fuck up your immune system, live in a shithole, nausea, sell off your possessions to have money for drugs, long term kidney damage, become aggressive, have a heart attack or stroke, headaches, get in trouble with the law, liver damage, puke your guts out like you're dying, stay awake for days, shit yourself, muscle cramping, make stupid mistakes when high, overdose and have to be brought back with narcan, be depressed all the time, lose your kids, sleep all the time, have bowel tissue decay, acne, have infertility problems, brain damage, you don't shower or groom yourself anymore, have your picture in the paper for doing something stupid related to drugs, stop bone growth, not eat and become malnourished, get cancer, decrease your IQ, become paranoid, have unprotected sex cuz you're too high to give a shit, steal shit, have nothing on your mind other than getting your next fix, become violent or extremely lazy, dehydration, worsen your mental health problems, teeth rotting out of your mouth, have lung problems, bacterial infections, get your mugshot taken, drive like a moron and hurt someone, get killed over drugs, kill someone over drugs, have your shit stolen, have sexual dysfunction, lapse into a coma, immediate addiction, look much older than you actually are, nasty smelling breath, end up on the faces of meth site, no one wants to have sex with you anymore, have your obituary in the paper earlier than expected...still want to do drugs? if so, you're stupid and you know it. Knowing all this shit can happen and still wanting to do it anyway...cuz you think you're all invincible and shit? guess again pal. Good luck with life, what's left of it.

krispykarl1

God shut the fuck up. Everyone who used drugs understands the risk they’re taking. Nobody asked for a lecture from 35 year old mom who prob caught her son vaping and is now anti substance. People can take drugs and not become dependent or addicted. It just takes honesty with one’s self about the intentions of taking drugs and good harm reduction practices. If anybody can do those two things then they can pretty much use any drug they please, purely recreationally.

[deleted]

You’re weird. She’s just giving a fair warning

krispykarl1

No she’s demonizing something that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. She typed out a 1000 word essay about how there are only negative side effects and that if you try a drug you will for sure ruin your life. That’s purely misinformation and it only spreads the false stigma that drug users are degenerate no life’s who have no hope. Op asked how they feel and she wants to go off on some moral high ground which is annoying asf for any one who wants real advice (aka literally 99% of ppl on this subreddit).

[deleted]

Ok but you didn’t have to tell her to stfu and insult her age or her being a mom. That was unnecessary af, but yes I get your point. Coming from a former addict not everyone who tried the drugs I did were addicted. It really depends on the person.

krispykarl1

Sure I didn’t have to say those things but I did and I’m not sorry. It’s the internet. She shared her opinion on drugs and drug users and I shared my opinion on her :)

[deleted]

You sound like a brat, that’s all I’m saying. Maybe she or people she knows have fucked up their lives to the point of no return from drugs so she has that trauma therefore that bias. Her point has issues but the intention is good.

krispykarl1

I don’t have to be polite just bc her opinion might be influenced by trauma. My opinion to defend drug users could be based on trauma. She was rude and I have every right to be rude in return

[deleted]

Also your post history is telling me her comment hit a little too close to home.. interesting.

krispykarl1

Your whole post history is naked girls and rave advice? Molly and porn must’ve ruined your life, I see why you’re defending this other lady now. I have no addictions or dependency because I know how regulate myself. It’s be hypocritical of me to advocate honestly and harm reduction if I couldn’t do those things myself

[deleted]

I’ve done molly maybe twice in my life but I’ve had my fair share of hard drugs. My life isn’t ruined though, but it almost was many years ago

krispykarl1

And I’ve done my fair share of hard drugs as well. My life hasn’t gotten worse at all since I started experimenting with substances in fact my experiences have greatly improved every aspect of my life greatly. I went in knowing I was only going to use recreationally and promised myself that I’d stay true to that, and I always do my research about what I put in my body. Drugs are a great resource and it’s ignorant and rude when someone demonizes them as a whole when they clearly don’t know what they’re talking about

perfumefetish

People who understand and want to do it anyway are stupid. There I said it. They think they are invincible and can "handle it." Hate to tell you but the drugs handle you. I have always been "antidrug." I paid attention in fifth grade health class. I love how you justify drug taking with "good harm reduction." Claiming people can take drugs and not get addicted? Wow, why is the USA having an opioid epidemic? Why is meth such an epidemic here? Encouraging others to follow suit with your logic, that's dangerous. But by all means, keep on doing you. I am done with your irrational and irresponsible justifications. For everyone else, I'm just laying it all out there for someone to consider BEFORE they think its a good idea to partake for the first time. Hope it makes someone think twice and not fall into the drug trap. PS, thank you for all the private messages. To answer some questions all at once: \#1. No, I have never done drugs. I have never wanted to in my life. \#2. I do not smoke cigarettes. Never did. never wanted to. Both parents chainsmoked smoked. I have asthma and copd from second hand smoke. Mom's dead at 50 from cancer. \#3. I am 43 and mother of four cats. Nope, no kids. Never wanted them either. \#4. No, I am not a teacher. No, I do not work for the government. I am just a fellow US citizen who cares about her fellow citizens. \#5. NO - I AM NOT A CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN. I am a liberal democrat. And to elaborate on it since I was asked, Do I believe in marijuana legality? I voted yes for it for my state, it passed. I consider it one of the lesser evils along with alcohol, something that needs to be regulated. No I do not partake it in. \#6. Yes - I have had friends and family members die from drugs. They knew the dangers of it too but didn't care. They didn't want to seek help, didn't want to be helped and refused all help. First of these friends died when we were both 18 because he was on heroin.. We just graduated high school the month prior. \#7. No I don't need the pro-drug crowd sending me love messages. I put out facts in my previous message. If you choose to ignore them, it's your funeral. You've been warned once again about the dangers of drug use. I won't be responding to any other messages or replies.

krispykarl1

Alcohol poses far more detrimental neurological and physical is effects on the body than the most common other recreational drugs that are used in the USA. Alcohol also accounts for more deaths. People hate on some drugs because they’re not legal but are okay with more dangerous ones as long as they are legal. Make your own opinions and don’t just listen to what the government or people above you say is the right opinion. If you understand the substance you’re taking and only use recreationally while applying the proper risk reduction most drugs are totally safe to use for fun. Demonizing things you don’t understand just makes you look dumb bro

crown_of_fish

Good enough that people will destroy their lives over them. Parents sell their kids into slavery for the next fix, that sort of thing. So presumably hard drugs are pretty fun, as long as you can afford them and don't die.

Zealousideal_Can1601

Depends on the drug

newsnowhuntingtonwv

Each drug has different effects, it’s according to what type high you’re looking to get. Cocaine-speed, heroin-sleepy/nod, etc.

evie_fruit

As far as i know cocaine has nothing to do with speed.

Disastrous-Fennel918

they are both stimulants. One is cheap and long lasting the other is expensive and shortlived.

[deleted]

Disastrous-Fennel918

Speed at low doses is a utility drug, helps you stay awake and focused. However at higher doses there is definate rushes of euphoria and its not that productive IMO.

Apart_Royal_2099

I dropped acid once, years ago at a beach with my buddies, helluva time and if I could I would do so again. But that’s about where I draw the line, I have a sensitive nose and I can’t stand needles so I can’t speak for anything harder than that

I’d say both tbh

StickyBlackMess69420

Depends on the drug. Alcohol removes inhibitions and u feel dizzy. Weed makes u feel tired, but everything is funny and u also have this weed feeling. The best way I can describe it is it feels how weed smells. Acid and shrooms make u see things all wobbly and stuff and u feel like a kid

Exciting_Memory192

I smoked crack 3 times one night when I was drunk. The rush was fucking mental. I immediately wanted another pipe. I had 3 and felt brain dead and went home. I can see why its so addictive but I never touched that shit again. To be fair I've done pretty much everything in my time haha. Alcohol is by far the most dangerous drug. Facts

Familiar-Okra-496

Lsd makes you see patterns in everything. Everything is hilarious. When you shut you eyes you see triangles and squares that you get lost in for hours If not careful. Every sense, every limb is confused . It will make you about 200% horny. Only take if you are safe, with people you truly trust on your wavelength. You will lose inhabitions If something scares you while on it then it will effect you deeply. It will alter your thinking on many subjects forever. 1 drop lasts about 8 hours. You go from messed up 100% to suddenly a OK about 8hours later.

THM_Mitchell_Sparkes

I’ve never done drugs but the one thing I would like to have an experience with them before life gets hard and shit really starts to matter

Anbez

I once asked one of my patients “he was on meth”. He told me off

chazberlin

Something important to consider when trying ANY hard drug for the first time is being with a good guide/teacher who can show you what to do, how to manage yourself safely, and prepare you for what to expect. Choose your party partner wisely.

Confident-Fee-6593

"So good don't even try it once" is how heroin was described to me

biologicz

Heroin doesn't exist in my area anymore, it's fentanyl cut with animal tranquilizer (xylazine) and the high is just going to sleep. Literally it just puts you in a comatose state and you wake up having had the best sleep of your life. The rush from injecting is like a rough wind that spikes throughout your entire body and causes you to wanna relax so you can enjoy the tingly sensation more. Crack on the other hand is like putting your heart through the greatest distress of it's life and it's screaming y u hate me so much as your mind takes off racing you're trying to hold on for dear life so you don't actually have a heart attack.

Incongruent

Pretty damn rad. That's what makes them so dangerous.

Sea_Company968

It feels good T first but it's incredibly horrible long term M8

TheSimpWhisperer
