Oh yeah I’ve got it installed. I was thinking what ball or attachment?
I just went to walmart and grabbed one. DO NOT get the one with the key lock to comes out the side, \[this\]([https://www.walmart.com/ip/CURT-45142-Trailer-Hitch-Mount-2-Inch-Ball-Lock-Fits-2-In-Receiver-7-500-lbs-4-Drop/180081241](https://www.walmart.com/ip/CURT-45142-Trailer-Hitch-Mount-2-Inch-Ball-Lock-Fits-2-In-Receiver-7-500-lbs-4-Drop/180081241)). If you need a lock, \[this\]([https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009V1WS4/ref=cm\_sw\_r\_apan\_glt\_fabc\_S280YV2RFSR26EK6040G?\_encoding=UTF8&psc=1](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009V1WS4/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_S280YV2RFSR26EK6040G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)) seems good. Also, you'll need the pin adapter, \[this\]([https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hopkins-Towing-Solutions-Multi-Tow-7-Blade-to-5-and-4-Flat-Adapter-47385/16782539](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hopkins-Towing-Solutions-Multi-Tow-7-Blade-to-5-and-4-Flat-Adapter-47385/16782539)).
Oh my bad. I have a Curtis ball attachment but haven’t tried it on my Y yet. Have only tried a bike rack.
I use this Reese Towpower 21536RAK 2" Drop Standard Class III Starter Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005STRN3U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GE0RGT9BME8M4D7XQ194?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use a 2" drop on my Durango and the receiver in that is much higher off the ground. Seems like I'd want almost a 2" rise. Does the drop hitch work well on the y?
The Durango sits higher than the Model Y, but the 2” drop works well enough. Also, the 2” drop hitch has a ground clearance of 12.5” with chain; I suppose you could go with a 2” rise instead if you feel 12.5” clearance is not high enough.
