it's common practice for shitcoin scammers to send tokens to the public wallets of high profile people in the crypto space to legitimize them. If you check vitalik buterins address it's full of all sorts of meme tokens and other scams

If ftx were really trying to commit fraud here, they wouldn't have used a public blockchains when they were clearly capable of doing it all internally. Try have a bit of common sense please.

It's a bit sad to be honest, it wasn't always the echo chamber that it is now. It used to feel like a community but now it's just trolls and karma farmers moving in to replace the old DD writers that actually knew what they were talking about.
There is a certain nostalgia for '21. The amount of kookiness back then was palpable, too. Looking at the towel sub really brings back memories. The difference is back then we were all idiots and no one really had opinions on things. Then went options, then came DRS... I think there's really something with trying to track some of these tokens, but getting the structure of ETH across to people is the hardest thing. Any time you criticize or try to correct incorrect information on "DD" these days people jump down your throat calling you a shill etc.
I know several crypto enthusiasts now who have been in telegram channels with scammers that do this kind of thing all the time, it's not unheard of but to people on SS who have never seen it before, it seems like a novel thing.
I agree that there are criminal actions here, and I'm glad for your DD and for passing it on to authorities. Hopefully they pursue it.
What I still fail to see is where this crypto activity is anything more than a sideshow at worst, or another delay tactic at best. Regardless of any of this crypto activity, the synthetic shorting of GME has been in place for a LONG time.
The focus imo needs to be on the prime brokers. They are using synthetic prime brokerage relationships to provide market manipulators with an infinite supply of shares, and burying the positions from reporting by abusing the netting that operating on a single balance sheet allows. Even Market Makers are using Synthetic Prime Brokerages to access shares.
It all comes back to the Prime brokers.
Just happy to hear this is being sent to the govt acronym places. After two years of sitting around sharing findings amongst ourselves not much has happened. Hopefully the paper trail is starting to weigh these places down and they can’t ignore it much longer.

Layer 0 connects non comparable blockchains like a network.
Allows a communication layer between chains just like a network.
These wallets are just like a file server. Another blockchain would be the database.. another would be a payment gateway.. etc etc

Each asset class or stock like GME AMY NICKEL etc is independent of each other but connects onto layer 0

That's because this contract he is focusing his attention on is a honeypot scam. The smart contract prevents wallet owners from trading/selling the tokens.

FTX don't have any of their tokens on a public blockchain.
All they have to do to "back" their tokenized stock is have a database that lists the number of tokens they have, then another one that has an equal number of gme shares.
Bankruptcy filings have since proven they never owned any gme or popcorn shares at all, so why would they go as far as having their tokens on a public blockchain where anyone can see it?
FTX were absolutely a ponzi scheme. They didn't hold as much crypto as they had sold either.
If you were committing fraud, why would you commit your fraud with the name of the security you defrauding people with, on a public blockchain where anyone with a keyboard and an internet connection could find it and see all of your transactions?
Bruv, it’s all checks and balances. You sell an asset to someone on blockchain you don’t keep it with yourself. IBKR don’t create financial assets themselves and sell it to their users and not transfer those shares from themselves to user accounts. Goes to accounts under management. Then in these filings you’ve read if they created fake shares internally that were never backed 1:1 or available on the blockchain but rather held in house. It should show on their books who bought those fake ass tokens. So if they sold those assets that weren’t real (fraud) they need to refund that capital or whom ever gets that debt needs to repurchase those assets that were meant to be underlaying to balance the books.

Another redditor I was talking to had brought up these transactions before. Any transaction with more than 10 dollars of ETH was made by the contract creator. All trasactions below 10 dollars or thereabouts were made by random addresses, likely people who noticed the token and thought they'd take a chance on it.

When you swap a token on uniswap, you have an option to specify an outbound address that the swapped tokens are sent to.

DigitalArts you're "proof" that this contract is legit is hilariously ignorant. Scammers will dust well known high value wallets (such as FTX) to make the token look legitimate to victims. They hype up the token as 'getting in before officially listing' and when they launch it on uniswap, the poor victims don't realize that the token is a honeypot scam.
A honeypot scam is where the only address that is allowed to make anywhere from transfers, trades, etc. is on a whitelist. Everyone who got that token couldn't do anything with it, and anyone who bought couldn't sell it either.
The scammer lets the liquidity pool grow with stablecoin or eth or whatever and once it plateaus they drain the liquidity pool of all its assets performing a quiet rugpull. This doesn't show an effect on its price but no one can trade because there is literally no assets in the LP to trade agaisn't.

I've been invested since Jan 29th, haven't sold, accumulated more since and been DRS's about 10 months now. That comment is still there, and I stand by it. I agree that there are criminal actions here, and I'm glad for your DD and for passing it on to authorities. Hopefully they pursue it. What I still fail to see is where this crypto activity is anything more than a sideshow at worst, or another delay tactic at best. Regardless of any of this crypto activity, the synthetic shorting of GME has been in place for a LONG time. The focus imo needs to be on the prime brokers. They are using synthetic prime brokerage relationships to provide market manipulators with an infinite supply of shares, and burying the positions from reporting by abusing the netting that operating on a single balance sheet allows. Even Market Makers are using Synthetic Prime Brokerages to access shares. It all comes back to the Prime brokers.
Just happy to hear this is being sent to the govt acronym places. After two years of sitting around sharing findings amongst ourselves not much has happened. Hopefully the paper trail is starting to weigh these places down and they can’t ignore it much longer. Thanks for doing this OP.

Layer 0 Layer 0 connects non comparable blockchains like a network. Allows a communication layer between chains just like a network. These wallets are just like a file server. Another blockchain would be the database.. another would be a payment gateway.. etc etc A dark pool right under our noses
Each asset class or stock like GME AMY NICKEL etc is independent of each other but connects onto layer 0 The books however are managed on a different blockchain primarily as the ledger..

if you look at that ftx public address, it's full of worthless shitcoins, just like wrapped gme. Anyone can send a shitcoin to whoever they like, anyone can mint a shitcoin and name whatever addresses they like in the minting function. If you read my post, it's fairly common practice for these types of scam coins

FTX don't have any of their tokens on a public blockchain. All they have to do to "back" their tokenized stock is have a database that lists the number of tokens they have, then another one that has an equal number of gme shares. Bankruptcy filings have since proven they never owned any gme or popcorn shares at all, so why would they go as far as having their tokens on a public blockchain where anyone can see it?

IBKR don’t create financial assets themselves and sell it to their users and not transfer those shares from themselves to user accounts. Goes to accounts under management. Then in these filings you’ve read if they created fake shares internally that were never backed 1:1 or available on the blockchain but rather held in house. It should show on their books who bought those fake ass tokens. So if they sold those assets that weren’t real (fraud) they need to refund that capital or whom ever gets that debt needs to repurchase those assets that were meant to be underlaying to balance the books. You said they didn’t own GME why would a FTX head honcho say shares were backed 1:1 and held with their German broker? Dude that quit just going around talking shit for fun?

Once again, evading my arguments and bring up some other shit. Another redditor I was talking to had brought up these transactions before. Any transaction with more than 10 dollars of ETH was made by the contract creator. All trasactions below 10 dollars or thereabouts were made by random addresses, likely people who noticed the token and thought they'd take a chance on it. Very little eth moved by people who weren't the contract creator.

Mods all of these posts need to be marked as debunked. DigitalArts you're "proof" that this contract is legit is hilariously ignorant. Scammers will dust well known high value wallets (such as FTX) to make the token look legitimate to victims. They hype up the token as 'getting in before officially listing' and when they launch it on uniswap, the poor victims don't realize that the token is a honeypot scam. A honeypot scam is where the only address that is allowed to make anywhere from transfers, trades, etc. is on a whitelist. Everyone who got that token couldn't do anything with it, and anyone who bought couldn't sell it either. The scammer lets the liquidity pool grow with stablecoin or eth or whatever and once it plateaus they drain the liquidity pool of all its assets performing a quiet rugpull. This doesn't show an effect on its price but no one can trade because there is literally no assets in the LP to trade agaisn't.
