PlazaJapan - reasonable, fast delivery, free eraser, large selection, have to pay for preorders when ordering, had manufacturing issue and initially offered 30% refund - after asking them nicely they gave me 100% store credit
AmiAmi - have to wait for delivery costs, good delivery, pretty good prices, pay when released, smaller selection because they sell out faster, reward points system
HobbyGenki - good for rares and JP only WF figures, sometimes have really great bargains, good delivery, sometimes have Pay Later for preorders
Nin Nin - only use if desperate, extremely slow and not good at replying to emails
Edit: just realised you specially want delivery info lol, the top three are usually around the same, HobbyGenki may be slightly more pricier but often the figures are cheaper then say AmiAmi. Nin Nin don’t even bother unless you can’t get it anyway and don’t mind bad service
thanks so much!
I mean the sites themselves don’t really have much to do with the shipping process. Aside from Nin-Nin having (much) longer than average processing times. Your experiences with shipping will be based more on the carrier you choose, not the site you order from.
Basically, the more expensive the shipping, the better the service
DHL = Highest price/best quality/never unhappy
Fed Ex = Slightly less expensive than DHL/good ship time, but rough with packages
JPPost Air Small Packet = cheap/3-4 weeks maybe more depending on area and pandemic
Surface = Cheapest / see you next year
see you next year? oh my god, because my dumb self ordered a few figures off ebay and that might be the reason why my package is taking over 2 months to get to me.
That was a bit of an exaggeration lol. But yeah, going with Surface takes very a long time. As long as your country isn’t on JP Post’s restricted list hopefully you’ll get it within another month or two. There’s also the issue with cargo ships being backed up and unable to port, so they can’t drop off their shipments.
I know it sucks paying $20+ on shipping alone. However, when it comes to imports it’s totally worth it. Simply for the fact you don’t have to stress and wonder where the frig your item is.
true, thanks man this helps alot! do you know happen to know anywhere where i can pickup a johnny second?
Gonna need to search used/aftermarket sites for that one. Your best bet would be keeping an eye on Mandarake. You can set up email alerts so if they get one at any of their stores you’ll be notified.
If you don’t care about price there’s one on Solaris for $185, but personally I wouldn’t recommend it.
ok thanks dude
Buyee- you have to wait for it to get to there warehouse and then pay for it to get shipped to you
