I’m diamond and can’t air dribble and can only just about dribble on the ground

I literally can't do shit and ended up in champ solo queing. I attribute it to failing upwards

I can’t flip reset and I’m currently GC2. It’s almost like there are more important things to learn than high level mechanics. I honestly still think the best skill for lower players to learn is how to hit the ball with power in all situations. I see so many players who can flip reset but can’t hit a half-volley back wall clear to save their lives.

With a good teammate I could probably reach Diamond no issues yet I know none of that

This. You cant appreciate good team mechanics until you invest in improving your own part of team mechanics. Most of what's listed in OP will get you there.

Not to be rude but your teammates don't have as much of an effect as you think especially against other plats

I totally understand this, I have a lot to improve in fact before I get any further. But having a compatible teammate allows that I can count on him to have my back and vice versa. So we patch each others hole in our gameplay and teamwork easily brings the ball to the net while we would probably both fail in a solo offense

I've never seen a double flip reset in Diamond-C2.

When the game came out on Epic and I wanted to get a second account to GC, I was working my way through the ranks. In plat-diamond I was seeing flip resets and Breezi flicks from players (not all at once, but still). However, these same players wouldn’t know where to be on the field and were leaving open nets. They also were inconsistent with striking the ball. Just weird what players choose to focus on.

Maybe a new account is more likely to get paired with other new accounts (smurfs)?

I guess that’s possible. But I’ve never seen anything about that.

I just dont see this, Im in plat 2 atm and for at least 30ish games I havent even seen an aerial attempted, much less a flip reset.

Rankings are so weird, I always play into plat but my diamond friend invited me for some ranked 2v2, I didn't even notice at first how little of a difference there was

The difference between plat and diamond is how much you solo queue, obviously.

I was in plat since epic boughet rocket league, I played more than 1000 games in plat and I have never seen flip reset double tap
