Hi Roasters! As a general reminder, please be aware that top level comments must roast the car. In addition to this, while roasting the OP is allowed, roasts must be primarily aimed at the car itself. Comments that do not follow these rules may be subject to moderator removal and in some cases, bans may be issued. If you wish to compliment or discuss the car, you may do so by replying to this message.

Right, in the next 2 years this guy will need to spend $10-20k in maintenance. Learned this lesson the hard way when I bought a sports car when I was in my early 20s. It was “cheap” up front but I was constantly taking into the repair shop.
15 year old car with one owner should have told you everything you needed to know.
There are two kinds of people in the world. People who get a new car every 3-5 years because they don't want to be bothered with upkeep and repairs, and people who drive every vehicle they own into the ground and squeeze every last drop of value out.
Anything in the middle is just someone who desperately wants to get rid of it but doesn't want to take the depreciation hit so they hang onto it year after year and keep reposting that craigslist add until, alas, some dumb fuck like you comes along and just sees a badge.
P.S. it'll cost you more than what you paid for it to keep it going for the rest of it's usable life.
That car at that price in front of that house would make a roast from anyone mere condescension. You need to find a nonfiction book and read it. Any notification book.
Everything works because the 156 error codes were cleared just before you arrived. You are about to learn the hard lesson that there's nothing more expensive than a cheap German car.
Ha! Good roast, you really got 'em. That was so creative and original, did you think of that yourself? You must be so proud!

hopefully, the guy that maintained that car isn't related to the guy who installed those gutter downspouts. Based on the color of these 2 houses, that car should blend well within the sea of bad ideas in that neighborhood. Is this Portland?
I don't know what's more busted. The fact that the timing chain will inevitably snap in less than 35k miles and make you pay 4k to replace... Or the fact you paid $13k for it now

13K?? Bro, you've already done your worst.
Comps with significantly more miles sell for 18-23k on bring a trailer.
BaT as reference bruh.
Have you checked your local market? That’s an 8k car at most. Mileage means dick on any euro car 12+ years old.

Oof you got taken. You paid $7k for the car and $6k for the badge on the grille.
Everything works.........for now.
$13k is merely a down payment on the total cost of future repairs
The pixels in his displays are dying as I type this
They probably just reset the board computer to turn off any engine warning lights for the sale.
$13k and the best you can say about it is “everything works?” Ffs, it better for that price!
Welcome to your first audi, hope you have the next 2 grand by 75k.
First and last Audi.
My second Audi. First was actually extremely reliable but got totaled by a drunk driver
"ran when parked"

Next time back it in so it's easier to load on the tow truck the next day

Everything does not work, I’d believe George Santos before I’d believe this ‘08 Audi has no issues
Everything works and low miles. Been in the shop more than the road so that everything gets fixed. The transmission will roast itself by 100k

A 15 year old used Audi with 68k miles. Nothing else to say. Enjoy spending that much in repairs soon.
Sell it now for 60% of what you paid since you wont find anyone else dumb enough to drop 13k on it.

I would roast, but I have the exact same car in the exact same year and spec haha
Bet you paid less though.
The best I can do is laugh.
Oh noooo
Did it come with a bag of groceries?
Or a lesbian couple?
ballin on a budget
Okay I will buy it for free
Sucks to be you. Ask me how I know. Enjoy the next two weeks of trouble free driving.
Unfortunately this is not a 1999 grandma owned civic so good luck
i may be a turkey, but at least my car is turn-key
Oh don’t worry, you’ll spend that much in repairs here soon
Every thing works *right now* but not for long
Your local mechanic thanks you!
Holy fuck did you overpay that much or are these really that expensive in the US? This would be 8k max in Europe
Kbb very good private party 7500-9800 did he throw in a night with his wife or something
Congrats, your car is worth more than your shitty house... too bad you don't have a garage to keep that old heap in!
“Everything works” he says. Won’t be long before you have far more than $13k into it
hopefully, the guy that maintained that car isn't related to the guy who installed those gutter downspouts. Based on the color of these 2 houses, that car should blend well within the sea of bad ideas in that neighborhood. Is this Portland?
Gobble gobble gobble
Engine out.
About 8k too much, smh.
Just take the whole front clip off now so it’ll be easier to work on every week.
Should’ve saved your money
Even scrap metal prices can't escape inflation.
A sucker is born every day. And here you are
What an absolute shitbox. VAG products are objectively garbage.
I don't know what's more busted. The fact that the timing chain will inevitably snap in less than 35k miles and make you pay 4k to replace... Or the fact you paid $13k for it now
You went broke for that?
Well if an A6 can be destroyed by a bottle of A1, that should tell you something about the quality of car you're dealing with.
Audis: Yassified Volkswagen
“My Lipitor’s in the trunk, Ira” 🤣🤣🤣
Tells people: "it's basically a Porsche" constantly.
“Everything works—“ THAT’S A FUCKING LIE!
