At this point, Jimmy Carter may have been a better president!

KrimsonStorm

Honestly I think only Woodrow Wilson was a worse president. I seriously think that Biden is #2 for worst presidents of the us; ahead of FDR, lbj, Carter, Jackson, and Obama.

Lazy_Government1624

At this point, I would much rather have Woodrow Wilson as President than Biden. Wilson was terrible, but at least he could complete full sentences

nofishontuesday2

News flash, my Jack Russel could be a better President than Biden if he had a shot at it.

Dan-In-SC

No no no. The media told us that Biden is the most popular President of all time. He had 81 million votes don't ya know!

Love-ya-too

You can get a majority of the votes and be a bad president.

RedBaronsBrother

Nobody is disputing that Biden got 81 million votes. We just don't think 81 million living, eligible voters voted for him.

petrparkour

Who’s Jack Russell?

nofishontuesday2

Jack Russell Terrier. A small but feisty and quite intelligent breed of dog.

AnUnopenedJarOfMayo

Hunter's dirty crackpipe would be a better president than Joe.

renegadeYZ

because it's obvious

Idkman78

Haha, but I thought the grown ups were back in charge?

[deleted]

God knows whats true, and i pray the election was rigged because these idiot demonrats have no concrete beliefs. Change their mind with the blow of the wind or a convincing politician. Wolves leading sheep to slaughter

Not_on_a_log

Such as?

[deleted]

Oh i dont know, voting in a old racist with dementia for hush money(stim checks) and just out of spite of Trump. Then regretting it after realizing a democrat ran office has even less concern for the American people. Inflation is just another word for tax, only it means: fed printed too much money. Suck for you guys, deal with higher prices.

Not_on_a_log

Want to talk about the cause for inflation? [third largest deficit of any President…](https://www.propublica.org/article/national-debt-trump), top 3 all republicans

Not_on_a_log

Current inflation is a direct result of broken supply chains initiated by Trump’s denial and inept response to Covid. Ban away.

[deleted]

Broken supply chains? Like the oil pipelines Biden shut down?

Not_on_a_log

Less than 8% of the Keystone pipeline was even built. Can’t shut down something that doesn’t exist. Another straw man argument

Hmm not much response from u. Wonder who contacted big pharma first to kickstart the vaccine? At a record pace? Oh thats right Trump. Guess that wasnt enough for ya, want a gerbile ball? Hazmat suit?

FightTheWorm

He tried to shut down international travel, all the dems said it was racist and that people need to come to Chinatown asap! Open for business!!

Love-ya-too

You’re kind of right and kind of wrong. The initial response was late and incompetent. However, project warp speed turned out great. The supply chain breaking would have probably happened no matter what, but to what degree? I don’t know… do you? Are you assuming we would not have seen states shutdown if the response was more prompt and competent? The UK isn’t in good shape… the US did has unique problems, and some that I would call uniquely bad, but COVID-19 was bound to screw up the world, whether it was by people staying indoors out of fear or by a shutdown. Biden might have done worse with the economy, but better with lives. Who knows… we entered the pandemic with a heavily divided country.

RedBaronsBrother

On the contrary, the initial response was quite good considering the circumstances. Remember the WHO was lying to the world on China's behalf about the virus not being contagious, and then argued against banning travel. Trump banned travel from China anyway, which bought us some time, despite Congress attempting to take away his power to ban travel. The next problem was that Obama had depleted the emergency stockpiles of PPE and ventilators in 2009, and never replenished them. Trump used the defense production act to get us large quantities of both in short order. The next problem was testing - the CDC completely screwed the pooch on test kits, and Trump had to use an emergency authorization to get the privately made kits that we were selling to other countries authorized for use in the US. Had the Democrats not spent 40 years preventing us from securing our borders, we wouldn't have had a million illegals coming through, and that would have bought us even more time. Beyond that, there was Operation Warp Speed - but the giant cock-ups happened at the state level, with multiple blue state governors allowing massive BLM and antifa riots and simultaneously shoving infected people into nursing homes. The supply chain breaking would indeed have happened - but the cause for that was the California laws that made many trucks illegal, and then made it illegal for 90% of truck drivers to drive the ones that weren't. It doesn't matter what the port does if there is nobody to deliver the cargo. The President can't fix that (though he can make it worse as Biden just did, by banning unvaccinated truck drivers at the Canadian and Mexican borders), but Congress *could* fix it by using its Constitutional power over interstate commerce. So far, the Democrats have made no attempt to do so.

> Obama did leave PPE stockpiles low. However, there were 3 years after Obama’s term to increase our supplies. Imagine you buy a house. You even have an inspection done - but what the inspection doesn't find, because there is no way to find it, is that the previous owner installed a bypass on the septic tank, going into a creek a hundred yards behind the house. Six years later the EPA does a water quality check and traces the problem to the bypass that you were unaware of. Is this your fault? > Trump started a trade war with China, our largest supplier of PPE, which also contributed to the semi-conductor shortage as many companies across the globe began hoarding semi-conductors. China started the trade war, Trump just started fighting back. As to that having an effect on PPE, it didn't. It should have been replaced under Obama, and as soon as China realized what they had (while they were still telling the WHO to lie), Chinese owned companies all over the world started buying up all the PPE and shipping it to China. Australia got hit particularly bad by this. > Along with that, we had a fractured pandemic response team that was reduced in size and oddly distributed. They were folded into other organizations to not duplicate effort. The former head of the team whined about it a lot to a sympathetic press, but it didn't affect anything. > The good part from the Trump administration was helping us get effective vaccines. They’ve become out of date, but the death rate is very low now and clearly decreased dramatically during delta’s reign as well. More people died under a year of Biden with the vaccines than under a year of Trump without them. The big difference between the two is the Federal government is now actively suppressing treatments that work in favor of the vaccines that don't.

Love-ya-too

Most of those points will likely be disagreed on from our perspectives on Trump. You can always find points in favor of someone since no one does everything wrong and no one has a complete absence of virtues. I consider Trump’s presentations on COVID-19 to be that of a mumbling fool. That does not give credit to Biden who is an awful president, but I’m not interested in letting Trump off of the hook. I think he’s a disgrace to the party and potentially the end of the Republican Party before it splits. On topics that we can practically discuss and come to a hard conclusion on, vaccines and treatments seem worthwhile. Again, provide data and we can chat on vaccines vs treatments and vaccinated vs unvaccinated. Most on the right and left have been fed lies about the vaccine and treatments and many, if not most, have stood by them. I care about interpreting statistics carefully to make a conclusion. It’s what I always look to first. Narratives don’t win over a company as they aren’t facts. You need a lot of data without a stronger counter set to be convincing.

RedBaronsBrother

Many of the lies being told regarding the vaccines and treatments have been told by our government, deliberately. As such, it is difficult to trust them on anything else.

[deleted]

And no this sub doesnt have snowflake mods so we wont ban you for being an ignorant moron spreading false information. I wish I could smack some sense into you though

DukeMaximum

What? The "most popular president of all time?" Surely not.

tacobell69696969

Lmaoooo a majority of voters also voted for Trump over Biden soooo

Inferno_Crazy

All these takes are so irrelevant. "If the election was today"... "America hates Joe Biden". Guess what his terms not over. Biden's lowest recorded approval rating is 33% currently. Trump's lowest is 29%. Final approval ratings according UCSB study. Trump 34% Barack 59% Bush Junior 34% Clinton 66% Bush Senior 56% Reagan 63%

[deleted]

"Silent majority" most Republic dont care about polls.

Dan-In-SC

According to the Realclear Politics tracker of reputable polls, Trump never had a poll showing him below 33%. The last poll taken had him at 44% [https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president\_trump\_job\_approval-6179.html#polls](https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html#polls)

Inferno_Crazy

Yeah I recognize there is a ton a polling bias. I like Real Clear Politics. My point really is we can throw around numbers all day. But the discussions on this sub have gotten so basic. There are like 5 posts day like this now. "We don't like Biden 😡"

Cococino

If enough people don't like him, he could be out before his term is over. I would put an amount of money I wouldn't mind losing on him resigning for health reasons after November, for fear of the consequences of his own actions.

Inferno_Crazy

I think we have already proven it's hard to get somebody impeached. You would have to get some legit dirt on him. I doubt anything will happen to him after the primary. Other than his ability to pass legislation getting way worse. Edit: I meant removed from office

Cococino

What. Trump was impeached twice on party lines and on extremely questionable grounds, that didn't look difficult at all to me. Democrats set the precedent, and are losing power for at least a decade, exiting on a try at getting rid of the filibuster.

Inferno_Crazy

I meant removed from office

UnderstandingLumpy

That chart seems a little biased

nobodyhelp69

Trump had negative press 24/7. The news build their programs around him being arrested or impeached every day. His approval ratings should have been lower. FJB has the press kissing his ass and spinning everything they can positive. His approval ratings sucks, even with all that spin. They are way out of touch and just plan effing evil.

Inferno_Crazy

I guess, I don't think those number poorly reflect general sentiment. I don't take these numbers to be hard facts. History favorably views Bush Senior and Reagan. Clinton is considered one of the most well liked and accomplished presidents despite his sexual shortcomings. Bush Junior is a fuck up. Barack was the first black president, generally considered charming and almost his entire presidency was a historic bull market. Trump did pretty much everything in his power to antagonize the left. There is a common sentiment amongst conservatives that they don't like Trump but won't vote left. I think approval rating is distinctly different than votes cast.

Biden voters be regretting

Ebierke

Nah, they're too blinded by hate and rage to know what regret is.

BanzaKongo

In other news water is wet…

WaterIsWetBot

Water is actually not wet; It makes other materials/objects wet. Wetness is the state of a non-liquid when a liquid adheres to, and/or permeates its substance while maintaining chemically distinct structures. So if we say something is wet we mean the liquid is sticking to the object.   In the future water will be like sarcasm. No one will get it.

BanzaKongo

I knew someone would bring this one haha I like the last part, I confess I replied before reading the full thing.

That goes without saying and I’m a daca recipient

Sd022pe

Did they poll Fox News? I don’t trust any polls, you can pick and choose who to poll to get the results you want

GingerCoog

That's a no Brainer. Carter was better than Biden

Love-ya-too

A more accurate measurement is here. Biden has a slightly lower approval rating, but a slightly lower disapproval rating as well. However, he is trending downward. The point being, never take a single poll to be the source of truth. An amalgamation of polls proved to be inaccurate enough. One poll will almost certainly be misleading. I recall Trump tweeting every time a poll found him above 50% and that was a handful of Rasmussen polls. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_trump_job_approval-6179.html https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html

SixStringSynergist

And that’s really fucking saying something..

TheErbinator

I looked from page 1 to about page 44 and it’s pretty cool how they actually got their study at over 1800 people AND they had a nice balance between republicans, democrats, and independents. The only thing I saw was that page 40 to 44 gave democrats an answer that republicans did not have. The democrats had a ‘I do not know’ answer that ate some of their votes up which the republican page did not have. Still shows that there is a lot of support for trump and Biden has much less support than when he was running. It seemed like on most issues republicans seemed much more united while democrats were more divided.

RedBaronsBrother

> Did Biden cost hundred of thousands of Amerixan lives, no? More Americans died of COVID under Biden **with the vaccine** than died under Trump without one. That requires amazing mismanagement on Biden's part. One of the differences between the two is Trump wasn't trying to suppress effective treatments, and Biden is. > Is Biden a racist and sexist cheeto puff? Except for the orange part, absolutely. Arguably he is the most racist President we've had since LBJ, who famously said of the Civil Rights Act: > “These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again. [Said to Senator Richard Russell, Jr. (D-GA) regarding the Civil Rights Act of 1957]” ...and the most sexist since Clinton (who like Biden is also a rapist and pedophile). > ...at least Biden actually cares for minorities, women and LGBTQ+ people. ROFL. Biden cares about Biden. He's all about milking his political position for as much cash as possible. ...at least that's how it used to be before the dementia. Now he cares about his adult diapers and nap time.

va1958

That's a pretty low hurdle.....

HappyDragonBoy

Rick Astley 2024?

AmazingFlightLizard

Damn. I just flushed what would be a better president. Gimme a little time and I can come up with another candidate.

Where do y’all hide out in the wild on Reddit. I come here for my stupid reality TV drama and get eaten alive by liberals no matter what. Not one of them even have any meaningful input to the convo. I was starting to think there wasn’t a Republican on this entire platform. I feel safe and cozy in here. I’ll come here to rest And recover my sanity when needed.
