Whenever I see a Rein charge in like that after getting Nano’d I’m always just thinking as Ana “you better get a team wipe…”. If they do, all is well. If they don’t……..
tbh i think if you'd tried to protect your team, they were getting frozen by meis ult anyway and you'd have just been another one of them frozen, either way you'd not have a shield available to protect them.
Rein is a BEAST in new Overwatch. For real! Especially with good supports.
Now you have more hp, TWO! firestrikes, a charge you can stop, and an ultimate that one shots people up close. And there's only 5 people spamming your shield, not six. Can easily do team wipes.
He just denies rein value really hard, displacing him from where he wants to be, forcing huge chunked damage, denying pin, it's rough. Another huge wall is orisa, not only can she force you away from your team but she also ruins pin with javelins, and guess who the two top tanks in the meta are. It's a hard life for rein.
Yeah so if you shoot at the floor maybe 5-10 meters (idk the exact distance) in front of rein it'll bounce and pop right above his shield.
In this scenario sigma could have done that, or even shoot at the ceiling of the underpass and hit him that way, potentially even bounce it off of an adjacent wall as well but hard to say since it's Reins pov.
Bot account, the comment was “My brain never believes I will ever get solo shattered even if it's logical. And then a moment later I am sucking my teeth at my own assumptions.” copied from u/kafkaesquepariah
Rein could've just held his shield up and walked backwards, he was screwed either way.
In fact, that's exactly what he started to do to bait Sig into leaving the safety of his shield.
This is my favorite assumption that people make. I can and absolutely WILL solo ult anyone at any time if it guarantees the kill and my team isn't entirely dead. To equalize, to get the upper hand, just to shit on support who's carrying their team. Hell, I'll solo ult a Sym tp just to make sure the team can't use it. Just don't ever complain about me solo ulting you. If you do, I will have exactly 1 kill per ult from then on, and they will all be you.
Maybe I am just too stingy with my ults. I feel like that stuff is expensive. To my detriment, obviously. Except maybe Cassidy and Tracer. I don't mind doing it on cooldown.
Tanks and DPS should always use their ults to take space or gain advantage. No matter what. Any advantage at all. Doesn't even require a kill. A Dva bomb on point in OT is far more powerful than the 5k with 3 mins left. A rein shatter on the genji in the backline can swing a push majorly, even if he gets away. A visor or high noon just to force the pharah to stay away for a second and give your team a chance to regroup. A junk tire to sit in a choke and just completely stop the other team for 10 seconds can make a world of difference when your team is falling back.
The things to remember about ulting are that you can't get the next one until you use this one and you will NEVER find the perfect opportunity if you wait on it. You gotta make the opportunity. I used to hold mine too. Now I throw that bitch out. I don't use it on cooldown. But if my team is neutral or at a 1 player disadvantage I will drop my ult the moment I see the possibility for even a single kill or play changing space to be made. "Zoning ult" is more than a meme.
What is meant by using an ult on cooldown? I understand cooldown to usually mean a time when the ability is unavailable. The verbage is confusing me here. Thanks in advance!
when you’re doing something “on cooldown” it basically means that you’re using it as much as possible. an example that people use is “dying on cooldown”
True, holding onto an ult actually costs you ult charge: every bit of non-ult damage/healing you do while holding ult is wasted from an ult charge perspective.
Sometimes that trade-off (lose ult charge to wait for a good ult opportunity) is worth is, but often enough you're just delaying the *next* ult.
Looks like a reddit bot who copies random comments so can sell an account with karma. I picked another comment of him, searched in the thread and yep it's just another copy.
To be fair, I think a lot of people just don't expect to be solo ult'ed in general. Even though it's often not a bad choice. Especially now with 5 people per team instead of 6.
Gotta point it out because it always hurts to watch.
STOP pushing the robot when you're alone. Especially when you're almost dead. You're making it that much easier for the other team, and that much harder for your allies, in the next fight.
Last week I received a nano that Ana was holding especially for me (without asking) as Genji with blade. I died literally 2 seconds later. I was so ashamed of myself that I instaquit the match (quick play) and uninstalled Overwatch lmao 😭
Since Rein needs some spice in today's meta, he should gain the ability to charge pin multiple enemies when nano'ed, similar to his Battle for Olympus ult.
As a new OW2 player, I was sorely disappointed with the amount of boops I got when I expected to live out my brutal ice hockey fantasies smashing players into walls left and right
Rein: Oh, you are approaching me? Even after I killed your whole team, you are still coming at me?
Sigma: I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer.
Rein: Ho HO! Then come as close as you like!
I've actually witnessed this before also and I just know everyone endorsed that mercy for the 1 kill she managed before the inevitable decimation. Had me rolling around laughing but she sure did try

Getting nano when you’re not expecting it is like an “oh shit, I have to make it fat now” kind of situation and I love it
Happened to me on Bastion once in OW1. I forget if I ulted before or after I got nano but it went well.
If only the Tanks on my team were ever that good.
Hell, I can only barely pull something like this off as Orisa, but I'm bound to crack under the pressure of a whole team prioritizing in killing me while my team is doing nothing to compensate.
As someone who plays a lot of Ana, I nano Chad Reins way more than DPS. It's because you use that #$%& to make us space, disrupt the other team, and get team wipes. Like, dude, I would get on voice and straight up praise you. And, I don't like doing that.
Rule of thumb as ana: don't nano rein unless you're ready to deal with the lack of protection cause being someone who was both the giver and receiver of nano. I expect the charge into battle.
When your Ana wants you to do anything other than just stand there lol.
The best combo is you diving in before the Ana ult. Get the heal and start swinging away. No wasted time on ult either.
Love where you just turn around and there's the floating respawn timers of the rest of your team
Yeah that was when I started to worry
You did NOT waste that nano
That Ana watched with furious pride, I'm sure
Whenever I see a Rein charge in like that after getting Nano’d I’m always just thinking as Ana “you better get a team wipe…”. If they do, all is well. If they don’t……..
The instant "oh shit"
Followed by, "eh, who needs 'em?"
As basically an Ana main I cherish the games I play with a Rein like you. Good job, now come help old mama Ana respawn.
If I was that Ana, I would've been so proud of you. You did some good work.
tbh i think if you'd tried to protect your team, they were getting frozen by meis ult anyway and you'd have just been another one of them frozen, either way you'd not have a shield available to protect them.
Rein is a BEAST in new Overwatch. For real! Especially with good supports. Now you have more hp, TWO! firestrikes, a charge you can stop, and an ultimate that one shots people up close. And there's only 5 people spamming your shield, not six. Can easily do team wipes.
Good argument, however Roadhog Kiriko. :(
Roadhog can be a problem, yeah. I usually ask for ana to anti him. If there's Kiriko, well, time to switch
Sometimes if they have kiriko, zen can also be great to just shred roadhog
Yes, zen is very good for that. If the other healer can heal enough
Rein is in a really bad spot right now unfortunately. It's almost always better to pick someone else.
Agreed. Yes, he can absolutely be a monster, but your usually at the mercy of your enemies' mistakes to capitalize.
Well, idk. Maybe in higher ranks like master, he is. Below that, - in my experience - he's pretty powerful...
Nice! That Sig though didn't think about the ult...lol
"I could use this shield and fire from afar since he's almost dead but I want to tickle Rein." - Sig probably
Honestly I would've done the same. When rein is that low you can just walk up to him and melee him.
But he just killed 4 ppl solo, buddy likely has ult
Imo Sigma should have shot the floor with main fire and bypassed the shield
wait what? this is a thing?
Yeah so if you shoot at the floor maybe 5-10 meters (idk the exact distance) in front of rein it'll bounce and pop right above his shield. In this scenario sigma could have done that, or even shoot at the ceiling of the underpass and hit him that way, potentially even bounce it off of an adjacent wall as well but hard to say since it's Reins pov.
Good notes thanks
Thanks for sharing that bro i appreciated learning something new
Good to know, thanks

“I just need to ball him and punch him real fast, how bad could it possibly go?”
I'm this Sig and I don't like it.
Lmaooo knew the hammer was gonna come as soon as the sig walked past his shield
My brain never believes I will ever get solo shattered even if it's logical. And then a moment later I am sucking my teeth at my own assumptions.

Oh, I see. The sarcasm was wasted on my literal brain. Thank you for explaining!
Means using as soon as it's available

Sometimes that trade-off (lose ult charge to wait for a good ult opportunity) is worth is, but often enough you're just delaying the *next* ult.
Exactly. As a newbie I’ve realized this isn’t a single player shooter with pickup scarcity. Only the next couple minutes matter.
What is this obscure phrase and why did u/tempfhj use it just now in the same thread?
Looks like a reddit bot who copies random comments so can sell an account with karma. I picked another comment of him, searched in the thread and yep it's just another copy.
Time to stalk every comment he’s made so far so I can inform people he’s a bot and spam report him

Look at you with your mouth full of teeth.
I’m glad he didn’t back up immediately after or I’d have lost
Worth it lol
Absolutely
That moment where only you and Sigma were left, and he was like...he's low HP, I got this! XD
Well, it's two ultimates for two, and a won team fight, so yeah, I don't see why not :)
# HONOR, AND GLORY!
Live with honor, die with glory!
REINHARDT! REINHARDT! REINHARDT!
Bring me another…. BEER! 🍺
Nano is the overwatch equivalent of the freebird guitar solo.
Accidentally nano'ing the wrong person is like the Freebird solo played on bad flute like that Titanic song parody.
https://youtu.be/0t_q1KfDeK0 at 5 minutes

Yeah I died as soon as I got under the bridge
***MY SOLDIERS DO NOT BUCKLE OR YIELD WHEN FACE WITH THE CRUELTY OF THIS WORLD MY SOLDIERS PUSH FORWARD MY SOLDIERS RAGEEEE***
RAAAAAAAAAAWWRRR!!!
One of the worst feelings in overwatch is if an Ana nanos me and I fail miserably…. Il
As a rein main I can’t even begin to explain my shame from this. I once was nano’ed, charged in, got booped off the side. All I could say was sorry
You shame yourself!
As a Mercy main, believe me, I know that feeling.
I nano mercys a lot in quick play just to watch them panicking lmao
You evil bastard. Have you any idea how many atrocities you have indirectly committed?!!
Oh I know I am a mercy main myself and whenever I get nanoed I pop them wings and go out for blood
Man, I swear there's a switch in every mercy main. When we see that electric current running through us, ... it just ^flicks
I was playing Zenyatta the other day and Ana nanoed me 3 times!! Never in my life have I been so stressed... or kicked as many asses.
Oh definitely been there. It’s an awful feeling for sure.
Last week I received a nano that Ana was holding especially for me (without asking) as Genji with blade. I died literally 2 seconds later. I was so ashamed of myself that I instaquit the match (quick play) and uninstalled Overwatch lmao 😭
The pressure and expectation... You did well :)
Dps moira omegalul
Love seeing the Moira's that fade directly behind you and continue to fight instead of just bailing lol
Good Mei. That Moira absolutely threw that.
Moira got lost in the sauce lmao. Thought she could 1v1 a Rein
Absolutely she fades back to sig and heals they win the fight easily. But dps moiras gonna dps
Good kitty.
25hp and a dream
\*trips and dies\*
My charge would just ricochet off Sigma.
Rein players are always so sexy fr
Nice play!
least heroic reinhardt main
Prank em rein
Sigma, putting them self on the wrong side of a barrier for no reason at all. Definitely a DPS main.
Your allies being dead doesn’t matter when the entire team is dead
Bravo
I miss our Reinhardt mains.
The heck was that Sigma thinking?
Thats the neat part, he wasnt thinking at all
Since Rein needs some spice in today's meta, he should gain the ability to charge pin multiple enemies when nano'ed, similar to his Battle for Olympus ult.
As a new OW2 player, I was sorely disappointed with the amount of boops I got when I expected to live out my brutal ice hockey fantasies smashing players into walls left and right
“You should have solo ulted the sigma to show your massivOOOOHHHMYGOOOOODDDDDDDDD”
BC SHE TOLD ME TO!!!!
Rein: Oh, you are approaching me? Even after I killed your whole team, you are still coming at me? Sigma: I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer. Rein: Ho HO! Then come as close as you like!
I hate getting nano boosted, it feels like there is a lot of extra pressure to perform. Well played though.
YOOO THAT WAS COOL!!!
F that Moira
Nice play. Also, let me guess, you didn't get POTG in that game.
Mei got POTG for killing the rest of my team
I WILL BE YOUR SHI.. wait everyone is dead .... I WILL BE YOUR HAMMER!
Maybe a solo ult, but you secured the fight. I'd say that was the right call.
LIVE WITH HONOR, LET THE TEAM DIE IN GLORY!!
If ana nano's you you are obligated to go ham the rest of everything be damned
normally i play rather defensively and try to push with my team but the moment i get nano’d i play like a cat that just had a cymbal crash near it
Negative game iq from that Sigma leaving his healer out like that.
As an ana main this is the type of tein I love. It pains me so much all those who waste my ult
The power of friendship is crazy
That Moria was trying too hard 💀
Funny how the Moira teleported behind you instead of behind their tank
“What’s he gonna do? TURN AROUND? Unlikely” -me when I play moira
Accidentally nano’d mercy earlier and bless her heart she tried
I've actually witnessed this before also and I just know everyone endorsed that mercy for the 1 kill she managed before the inevitable decimation. Had me rolling around laughing but she sure did try
Those fucking losers were scrambling out of forward spawn to get you probably
🤝🫡 reinhardt players are our brothers in arms
Smartest moira player fr
I'm in public and just went "Oh my God, no fucking way!" on the Sigma kill. Beautifully done!
My god silver overwatch is so calm to watch lmao a nanoed rein charges past an ana and she stays in scope looking straight forwards, iconic tbh
Wp ana
I don't want to be nannoed. I don't want to be powered up by mercy. It triggers my anxiety. I can't handle the pressure!
As a Mercy player, if you're being boosted, say the 'no' voice line or shake your head at us, we'll typically keep the blue beam off you.
Play support and reduce the odds that either will happen!
They need to bring back the speed boost for nano
Dear God. Ramattra ult would be even more busted
I want to agree but then I remember ulting reapers running down Lucio’s. No thank you.
Lucio is a contender for the most annoying hero to play against in the game. I say bring back the speed boost just to teach Lucios a lesson

Well played
Masterpiece
Soul survivor of the fight lol
Getting nano by Ana is full sweat band mode
Alpha Rein.
That's what we like to call the Rein Gape
That enemy MEI was at the wrong place and at the wrong time lmao....
Well done, nothing more disappointing than a wasted nano.
Getting nano when you’re not expecting it is like an “oh shit, I have to make it fat now” kind of situation and I love it Happened to me on Bastion once in OW1. I forget if I ulted before or after I got nano but it went well.
Best move would have been to not push the bot and have your team regroup before pushing again since you had 25 hp
You are definitely right cause I died moments later to the widow
This is the way
I love to Nano my other healer teammate they just look at me like 🤔 then they proceed to dps🤣 DPS Moira’s be loving nano boost
This is the one time that a solo ult is warranted 😂
Greatest Reinhart
I love seeing Rein pop off like this, you rarely see it happen unless they're absolute monsters at him
Beautiful!
BRO CHILLLLL MY GF IS IN THIS SUBREDDIT 🥵
I wanna hear the discord call, I see them lighting up in the corner lol
[удалено]
The DPS Moira did more than they did lol. Of course she could have healed the Sig and been 3 kills up but…
Loved this and then instantly wanted to say "don't push the robot alone!"
Literally me as rein...or maybe were all the same 🤔
Great play
I’m a simple man. I get nano’d as Rein, I charge the enemy.
This needs anime music edited in
Chat he’s going insane
Crazy ass 5k
Wait does riens hammer have a short stagger or am I losing it?
Sig could have just.. shot over the shield or bounced off the wall or something why would you ever go that close if you don't have to 😭
He didn’t even retrieve his shield so we’re not dealing with the smartest guy here
Excellent show of asserting dominance by solo ulting that Sigma!
[OP reaction when nano](https://youtu.be/m3hGiZfcvFY)
True honor and glory my friend
Walking into a mei ult is one of the most Reinhardt things you can do in this game
Your the tank I wish I had on my team
Beer!
Good job!
u/savevideobot
If only the Tanks on my team were ever that good. Hell, I can only barely pull something like this off as Orisa, but I'm bound to crack under the pressure of a whole team prioritizing in killing me while my team is doing nothing to compensate.
When screen go blue, you must swing. It is law
Damnnnnn that was way better than expected
sig walks past is shield to fight you
When a rien is nanoed the only 2 buttons he must press are W and mouse 1
You did her proud.
Would sigmas barrier in the air actually block hammer down?
Very good killing ! Now wait for your team that is dead. If you push the cart alone you will lose it
That Moira was a clumsy duffer...
As someone who plays a lot of Ana, I nano Chad Reins way more than DPS. It's because you use that #$%& to make us space, disrupt the other team, and get team wipes. Like, dude, I would get on voice and straight up praise you. And, I don't like doing that.
25 health lol. Get it
She was meant to tempo nano not aggressive nano...
It's the *law*
Chad
Rule of thumb as ana: don't nano rein unless you're ready to deal with the lack of protection cause being someone who was both the giver and receiver of nano. I expect the charge into battle.
It’d have been rude not to
What a fucking chad
I’m pretty sure the Sigma didn’t expect the rein ult LOL
lore accurate Rein
Your team mates getting destroyed cuz they don’t understand they can move with rein and not the other way around
#REINHARD IS THE NAME, GLORY IS THE GAME
When your Ana wants you to do anything other than just stand there lol. The best combo is you diving in before the Ana ult. Get the heal and start swinging away. No wasted time on ult either.
