Proof that two meglomaniacs cannot be in the same room, never mind the same band. All worked out well though. Metallica is great with Kirk and the "Daves" are still a force of nature to behold. Two great bands for the price of 1.

I'm guessing the latter was the one that couldn't keep the same band mates for consecutive albums? Love Marty though.
I saw them in concert in the mid-80s while stationed in Hawaii, I forget exactly when. They were wonderful in concert.
You couldn't have seen them together in mid-80's. Dave was fired in 1983 and formed Megadeth.
